Freebies, however, are a no-no: public servants (FLOTUS and her husband were elected as a team) cannot accept gifts worth more than $25. I have not seen any indication that that beautiful outfit was handed to MO by the designer without her having to pay for it. As long as she paid for it herself, I don’t have a problem with the price.
