Let me say this at the very beginning: I am not trying to troll Christina Aguilera. My objective is not to be cruel towards her, nor am I trying to fake “concern” for the state of Christina. Obviously, I think she’s a hot mess, an orange-stained pile of clown makeup, booze and leggings stretched to their limit. I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But I only wanted to point out the… oddness of this Christina news.
So, Christina was named “the voice” (eyeroll) of a new charity campaign for Yum! Brands World Hunger Relief. Christina Aguilera = World Hunger Relief. Is that an odd choice? I don’t really know. I do know that watching this behind-the-scenes video of Christina’s PSA shoot made me hungry. Was that the goal? Because I really want some Doritos right now. I blame Christina’s too-orange foundation issues.
We should praise her. It’s nice of her to do this. She doesn’t have to do this, you know? She would be fine just being a boozed-up hot mess, strutting around in hot pants and peeing a little while she sings. But she decided to give back. She answered the call! She answered the call and then had a double vodka on the rocks. For the children!

I think it’s amazing that she’s lending a hand/her face to a wonderful charity…but she had to have known the jokes write themselves on this one, right? She can’t possibly be so clueless about herself, right? Couldn’t she have just donated a bunch of money to this group and been the new voice of ASPCA? I’m sure she has some tear-jerker song that would break my heart if set to a montage of sad puppy eyes.

At my old job the company was our client. Every time I did work on them and my eyes came across the name of their company – Yum! – it cracked me up. Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s a funny name.

though i totally understand people being critical of stars doing psa’s because of the whole good publicity thing imo on this occasion Christina seems to be doiung it because she genuinly cares. good on ya Christina!

I hear ya, and agree it’s hard to give up the stuff – I’m there too. It’s possible though.
As for Christina, I think she looks way better with less make-up (esp. bright red lipstick) and bronzer. She also looks better in “age-appropriate” clothing and should lay off the teeny dresses.

That’s nice that she has been involved with the charity for a while. I just hope she gets herself together, for herself and her son’s sake. I think she’s so talented, and naturally pretty, it’s a shame to see her struggling like this.

Is anyone old enough to remember the famed singer, Peggy Lee? Among her many hits was “Fever”. Anyway, Christina is starting to resemble Peggy with the white hair heavy makeup and portly figure. Christina could actually pull of a the role of Peggy, since she has such a fantastic voice. Didn’t I read something about a movie about PL coming out or in casting stage?

I know, right?! How can she not realize how much better she looks without makeup?? Someone has gotten her to tone down the red lipstick sometimes, but the less the better on her. She looks much fresher and prettier bare-faced. I wonder how she’d look with a more natural hair color, too.

Christina and Lindsay Lohan are perfect examples of beautiful girls who have turned into ugly women due to their addictions, bad habits and non-clean living. The should be the poster girls of what not to do. Such a shame because if they didn’t let booze, drugs, cigs, etc invade their lives, they would have been stunning today.

I believe Xtina can still sing well but between her sloppy stage presence and the way she over-sings everything, people are just turned off. And Lohan… well Lifetime movies and quasi porn flicks (straight to DVD) are about the best she can manage anymore.

The girl is one giant mess. She looks so trashy it’s hard to believe she’s not having a laugh about it all (see Pamela Anderson. You get the feeling Pam KNOWS how adorable trashy she is).
