These are the first photos that we’ve had access to of Michelle Williams, Jason Segel and Matilda Ledger all together. The happy family was spotted out in LA, when Michelle and Jason picked Matilda up from her gymnastics class. Although Michelle (and Matilda) have spent time in LA in the past (mostly when Michelle is working, I believe), it really does seem like Michelle has always tried to raise Matilda as a Brooklyn girl. So it’s interesting that Matilda and Michelle are now in LA, right? Matilda’s school probably hasn’t started yet, so maybe this is their summer vacation? A trip to LA, spending time with mommy’s boyfriend, taking some gymnastics classes.
A few weeks ago, the tabloids were all claiming that Jason and Michelle were already engaged, or on the verge of getting engaged. There were claims that Matilda adores Jason, and that she’s encouraging her mom to marry Jason. There were claims that Jason had flown out to San Diego to surprise Michelle during Comic-Con. I don’t know if any of that was for real, but I do think that Michelle and Jason are headed in that direction. An engagement wouldn’t surprise me. An elopement wouldn’t surprise me. Neither would a “surprise” pregnancy.
Meanwhile, there was a report last week that Michelle likes her man with a little extra chunk. After losing weight for The Five Year Engagement, Jason has been gradually putting on more weight. An insider said, “He was asked to lose weight to participate in the film, but now that he’s settling down with Michelle Williams, he has totally let it all go. It looks like he gained 20 pounds, but Michelle thinks he looks perfect the way he is. He eats whatever he wants. She likes his body. She thinks he’s cuddly.” Aw. That’s kind of cute. I’m guessing Michelle also likes Jason a little bit furry.

I agree. My hubby is naturally lean, is very active and athletic, but I like it when he has some extra weight…the cuddle factor is more intense

She accepts him however he looks and considering that the shelf life of actors is somewhat limited, I would say that’s a might fine thing.

I normally find Michelle Williams cloying, but she looks adorable in these photos.
Jason Segel, on the other hand, whom I like, looks like hell here. He is not exactly looking healthy and fit. Maybe it’s for a role?

I think “husky” is perfectly fine as long as the guy is TALL. Short and chubby isn’t really my cup of tea.

I am 5’6″ and hubby is 5’9″…I wish he could be a little taller and with the added bulk there would be more to cuddle!

I was thinking the same when looking over the photos. Even in candids she’s really striking, I think it’s all because of the hair. I bet she turns a lot of heads when on the street.

Well, Michelle certainly seemed to be mad about Heath Ledger when he was at his scruffiest. Very heartening to see that she’s a “normal” person, and doesn’t pick her mate like most of the celebutards do. You know, the “do we look pretty together?” standard.
My hubby, while the handsomest man ever in my eyes, could probably stand to lose 15 or so lbs. He has also seen me through health issues and the protracted illness and death of my father in the last few years and major surgery last week. AND he puts up with my sh*t. It would never occur to me to look at him as anything other than my hero, physical imperfections included. At least until the next time he leaves the toilet seat up in the middle of the night, lol.
It’s makes me like Michelle Williams even more that she has apparently found her very own scruffy-bear and doesn’t fall prey to the industry-vapid standards as many of her peers do.

He’s tall (an inch or so less than Hubs), so 20 lbs isn’t going to add that much to his frame. I adore him however he looks, and I hope he doesn’t mess up his metabolism with the “ups and downs” required of actors for certain roles.
But he does need to shave. I don’t EVER want to see (or taste) whatever you ate that day.
Scruff is fine; Billy Goat’s Gruff is NOT.

I, too, hate the scruffy look. In fact, I don’t much like anything other than completely clean shaven, personally. But that comment had me thinking, “HA!” and “Ewww” all at the same time, lol

I too love the “scruffy look” but I really hate the yeti look. I’m hoping his beard is for a role so he can get back to his usual stubble (which makes me drool over him)

Couldn’t agree more … love my man’s extra pounds. Just enough to make him feel cuddly and safe, along with the hairy chest. You go girl, congratulations! The hottest thing ever about a guy, in my opinion, is seeing him being awesome with kids.

They obviously clicked right away since it got so serious so fast. She seems bohemian, and he’s likely got the hippie thing going on when he doesn’t have to be dressed for the cameras. It’s what they dig about each other and I like that they seem so devoted to each other, and he to Matilda as well.

Well, we never knew Heath very well, but turns out Heath was high energy and very funny so…personality wise, it makes sense. Plus he and Heath both have the scruff factor.

I like a scruffy Jason. I see why MW likes him with some extra scruff and chunk. Heath was scruffy, hippy, bohemian and gorgeous! I like MW more this way than how she’s on red carpets and magazine covers. She’s cringe worthy on red carpets with her little girl attitude.
