I went to public schools my whole life and ended up in the Ivy League. Why? Because I was focused and worked my butt off because I didn't want to end up working as a cashier in the Winn Dixie in my one red light town. Most people don't have the drive, stamina and focus. I am not the smartest person in the room but I am a grinder. So rather than blame the gov"t cuts in education - spend more time in the public library - they are free and still exist.
