I really wish we had just a few of the new photos of Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy from the past week. Over the weekend, they were making out in full view of the paparazzi in Hyannis Port, and Swifty was cavorting around in her modest, vintage-y polka-dotted bikini. The NYDN also got exclusive photos of Swifty and Conor visiting his mom’s grave a few days ago – because apparently the paparazzi don’t even have qualms about taking photos during that sort of thing. Oh, and Swifty was Conor’s date at a Kennedy family wedding over the weekend too. Wow. She really is moving in hard and fast, isn’t she? Damn, Swifty.
As I’ve said before – and I will continue to say – I’ve grown quite creeped out by this whole “romance”. This young man is still in high school/prep school – he doesn’t graduate until next year. And Swifty is already making long-term plans to be with him during his final year of high school too – she bought a house adjacent to the Kennedy compound. Because why not? Ugh. Anyway, People Mag now asks if Swifty is going to bring Conor as her date to this year’s VMAs, which are going down in less than two weeks.

Swift, 22, is even reportedly purchasing a 13-room home across the street from Connor’s grandmother, Ethel, in Hyannis Port.
Things are moving quickly for the young couple, but is Kennedy, the 18-year-old son of Robert Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy, ready to make his red carpet debut at the MTV VMAs on Sept. 6?
The singer, who is not nominated for any awards, is slated to perform her latest single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” for the first time live at the awards show. Fans can’t help but wonder if Kennedy will accompany the Grammy award winner on her big night.
If he attends, Kennedy will have to deal with more than just posing for photos. Swift’s ex-boyfriends, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas may also be in attendance.
But there is one major hitch for the couple’s potential date: Kennedy, a senior at a boarding school on the east coast, is due back on campus Sept. 6 – the same day as the awards show – for the beginning of the new school year.
Other scheduled acts at the VMAs include Pink, Alicia Keys, Green Day and One Direction. The VMAs will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Yes, there’s just SO MUCH high school dramz, isn’t there? Like, literally, there’s drama because her boyfriend is in high school. And beyond that, Joe Jonas will, like, be THERE. AND Taylor Lautner! But I don’t think Swifty should count either of those boys, since it’s not like she really did anything with them, you know? I doubt they even got to second base – or, as Joe Jonas calls it, “The Place Mommy Says Is The Second Most Ickiest Place On A Girl.” No, the real concern is John Mayer, because I’m pretty sure Mayer got to spend time with her in the Biblical high school sense. Jake Gyllenhaal too, but God, I can’t imagine that Jake would come to the VMAs. Especially not when Swifty is singing her latest breakup anthem which I’m assuming is about Jake.

I just read the article. If this is true, Swifty looks like a social climber. The mother of the bride asked her to leave, and Swifty’s publicist makes it look like the BRIDE wanted her there. Good job PR gal, paint the Kennedy matron as a snob. That’s going to go over well with the family, and hurt your client’s standing with them as well. Another thing PR gal: if Swifty was an invited guest, where’s her invitation? The Kennedys are not the type of people who will let you roll into a wedding unannouced. She probably wasn’t invited b/c she would be a distraction, and the Kennedys forcibly removing Swifty would have made headlines. Walk your back Swifty. Don’t think for one minute that clan won’t make you pay for this gauche behavior. They’ve dealt with troublesome starlets before, and the starlets usually lose.

it may be on the bf but Swifty is an adult, not some 18-year old HS senior, and she should have known that you don’t just ask to go to a wedding last minute (I would have asked if he was invited with a guest and, if so, if he RSVP’d as +1 to make sure it was OK to go – apparently he didn’t even RSVP) and when they were asked to leave, she should have been gracious enough to do so, dragging her bf out with her or leaving him behind if he didn’t have the sense to do so.
I’m not the classiest person in the world but my bf dragging me into that situation and then not leaving when asked probably would have made me realize he was too immature/ignorant/selfish for me and lead me to end the relationship.

I also agree with T.C.—Lainey is full of it blaming the 18 year old guy (and wants to bash any Kennedy), not even out of school yet. And the poor kid just lost his mother to suicide during a messy divorce (not to mention the many problems of her addiction/mental health). Personally, I think Taylor preys on younger guys and leeches off older ones, then she can play “victim”. Taylor is not so innocent. Wasn’t her first song about her senior boyfriend going away to college when she was just a freshman? Not an innocent girl and she’s the one that calls foul on bullying when in fact, she’s the one manipulating and bullies when she doesn’t get her way.

Just saw that Lainey article with her putting all the blame on Conor. Sorry but Switfy is 4 years OLDER than him and should have know better herself. Plus the Mother of the bride had an objection to SWIFTY being there not Connor because Swifty had all the guests wanting her autograph upstaging the bride. The Mom told the newspaper she politely asked Swifty to leave but she ignored her.
Conor is to blame for bringing her but she has equal blame for going and more blame for staying AFTER being asked to leave straight up. Lainey’s article proves what I’ve been saying, at the end of this relationship Swifty wi be seen as the love sick VICTIM, making money trashing Conor. The public will buy it because Swifty is pure as driven snow and every Kennedy male is evil narrative. This makes me so mad.
I agree with TC. Taylor’s old enough to know that sometimes it’s just best to step aside. Be humble and take a backseat. It’s not her day, she more than likely doesn’t know the bride or groom personally so why be there?
Unfortunately I think it’s been a long time that anyone has told Taylor no and meant it. It would seem that all of the praise, awards, and pats on the back for “Being such a good role model,” have gone to her head and she now thinks she’s untouchable.

His birthday was just a few weeks ago right? It depends on the cutoff dates for acceptance. A lot of people choose to hold their children back so that instead of being the youngest in their grade they will be the oldest. This happens a lot for boys since they’re “more immature than girls” plus it gives them a slight advantage in sports.
But if he’s a junior like others said well maybe he got held back a grade.

Sadly, his mom passed away earlier this summer. It was pretty tragic and graphic. That, along with his age and her many past relationships and how public they ended is why so many people seem to have a problem with their coupling.

I am still friends with him 25 years later and probably could have married him if my parents would have let me that young. Because for some reason older guy – younger (but legal) girl are socially accepted, while the other way around its something to be talked about. Not that I am saying this is true love or anything, but can we maybe not bash Taylor for going out with a younger guy, when 4 years is a perfectly normal age difference.
No, you’d be seeing the same creep factor among commentators if the older person were male. Especially if there were the same appearances that the relationship started before the younger party turned 18. In fact I remember a lot of talk about this issue when Miley Cyrus started dating Liam Hemsworth. She was either 16 or 17, and he was 19 at the time. So, there’s no double standard.

Even having started first grade late, to be 18 and just entering the JUNIOR year in high school is certainly an indication that something is NOT at all right with the young man.
Especially when he attends a very outstanding prep school where he would have easy access to one-on-one tutoring as needed, etc. Plus, undoubtedly, an environment where instructors would surely WANT to pass him to the next grade level.

I read his mother struggled with alcoholism, he has some of the associated facial features and now I reading about learning issues and poor social skills ( crashing the wedding).
