Do you guys remember a few years ago when he was in Rome filming Angels and Demons? The filming wound up interferring with a bridal party trying to get to the church, so Tom did the sweetest thing to make it up to the bride and personally escorted her to the church. The bridal party was so touched and so excited and they all said that his gesture just made the day perfect. With all the egos in Hollywood and the b.s. attitudes like, "don't you dare look the celebrity directly in the eye, or speak to them", can you imagine too many other stars doing something this cool? His whole family is so down to earth though. I went to the University of Illinois, where his brother is a professor, and I often worked in the same lab with him. You would never know who he was related to, and when Tom and his family were in town to visit, they put on no airs and were so nice. My best friend from college has lived in L.A. for the past 12 years and works in the entertainment industry and she said that out of the literally hundreds of celebs that she has met over the years, Tom Hanks is by far the nicest star she's ever met!
