How in the world did Oprah manage to make $165 million over the past year?! Her network is failing and she’s had to fire so many people, so how is she still the highest-paid celebrity in the world? Michael Bay is #2. Ha. [Bitten & Bound]

Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills, CA. is an upper middle class area and think their shite don’t stink. To no ones surprise, they celebrated Senorita Day dressing as day laborers, housekeepers, gang members and knocked up teenagers.

” Some students dressed as INS agents and went around “arresting Mexican students.”

That’s terribly sad in this day and age of cultural awareness. Let’s hope that instead of Senorita Day, Canyon HS has a “don’t be a labeling douche” Day instead.

    • Izzy4ya says:

Not all Latinos are foreign, or illegal for that matter-you idiot. The fact that the word “senorita” conjures up so much stupidity from you (and those idiotic students) is ridiculous.

I like Amber Heard as a brunette. I think she pulls off nicely both the brown and the blond hair. As a blond she does look much more glamourus and unique, though.

  3. Genevieve says:

Really? Wow. I guess the 50 million or so she’s dropped to prop up OWN hasn’t caught up with the accountants yet.

  4. Lucy2 says:

I would guess Oprah still owns a lot of daytime shows, and a magazine still? People at the top of corporations like that ALWAYS get paid.

  5. Tiffany27 says:

Brad and Angie are engaged and have 6 kids. Let it go already.
And every single one of those a**hole kids on Senorita Day are a sad reminder of what racism really is. It’s not always burning crosses and white hoods.

    • Lamb says:

Dressing up in stereotypical, mocking garb on a day meant to celebrate a culture is not protecting your country, it’s simly being racist.

    • Nymeria says:

The term “Hispanic” refers to race, not culture.

Individual Hispanic cultures are cultures. “Mexican” is a culture. “Peruvian” is a culture. “Guatemalan” is a culture. The melding of Indian races and cultures with the above cultures does not negate the fact that in the end, the people inhabiting each country are, generally speaking, considered Hispanic in terms of their race. How individuals within each culture wish to classify themselves is a different matter.

      You dig?

Try saying “European is a culture, not a race” and see how stupid that sounds. I’ll wait.

There are common elements in all European cultures, just as there are in Hispanic cultures, but German culture, for example, is very different from Irish culture.

I guess I shouldn’t expect much from someone who calls illegal immigrants “ugly” and “squat.” Do I really need to explain why that sounds so repugnant?

      • rumbleseat says:

Hispanics are an ethnic group who have their origins in the Latin or Spanish speaking world. My grandfather was raised in Brazil but was of completely Caucasian descent, as am I, although I have a “Spanish” last name. The US Census hasn’t categorized Hispanics as a race since the 70s, but rather as an ethnicity. Hispanics are of many races, although it is certainly true that many Hispanics do see themselves as a race. To each his own.

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

Actually Nymeria, Mexican, Peruvian, Guatemalan…refer to nationality.
And *European* refers to a continent/geographical area, not a race.

    • Johanna says:

Thank you Nymeria for educating the ignorant. Saved me a lot of typing.

    • ol cranky says:

@Nymeria- I hate to defend someone who appears to be a schmuck like Garrish Utley but Hispanic is not a race, it’s considered an ethnicity and people often do refer to European culture (usually as a reference to Western European or “continental” culture) even though each country has it’s own culture. European is not a race, btw, there are 3 “races” (and I will stick to using the historical/clinical demographic terminology so please don’t be offended): Caucasoid; Negroid; Mongoloid (aka, and also considered an offensive term, Oriental)

  6. Kim says:

Oprah has stake in Rachel Ray, Dr Oz, Nate Berkus, she has that studio in Chicago, O magazine…As for Doug Pitt I saw the Australian interview that L & S is referring to he said he isn’t in contact with her but sure they are friends after he was asked about her.Im sure one of the tabloids will claim the Pitts will attend Aniston’s wedding which sparked a fight between Brad and Angie.Brad left the house in tears on Maddox’s dirtbike.LOL

  7. Koko says:

Sometimes I feel like some people are a little too happy when Oprah seemed to be struggling with her network. Whatever happens with OWN, it does not take away from the fact that she is still a very successful woman who has overcome a lot. Lady O is still slayin!

    • Pup says:

I think she’s on the decline. After all, once you go Kardashian, you can’t go back.

    • Nev says:

      word.

      go on Oprah!!!

    • Monie says:

I agree. Weird that people can’t wait to dance on Oprah’s financial grave. She is a businesswoman who has a fairly sizable empire. Sometimes businesses take a wrong turn but it’s up to the owner to make the needed corrections. Oprah at heart is an interviewer; and even though I HATE that skeezers are some of her first major ones, it’s part of the program. Stop hatin, Kaiser! lol

  8. Erinn says:

Dear God, what kind of child has no problem sharing with strangers that she thinks she has a stalker… but does not mention it to her parents? How sad. And honestly, if you have a stalker, it’s probably not a good idea to keep tweeting about having one- they know you’re on to them. Tell your parents. Tell a teacher. Tell a cop. Don’t rely on the twitter universe.

    Such a sad story

  9. Maya says:

I’m so tired of hearing people say someone (usually a woman) “stole” someone else (usually a man). Putting it that way takes away the man’s culpability. It takes two to have an affair, and both parties should be held responsible. Unless Angelina actually kidnapped Brad, she did not “steal” him.

    • Esmom says:

Yes but usually someone is the instigator. I don’t have trouble believing that Angie had an agenda once she realized she and Brad were attracted to each other. He may have tried to keep his marriage intact for awhile but in the end he left willingly, of course.

      • Kim says:

Yeah the poor hapless man seduced by the woman.Brad has been famous for over twenty years with women throwing themselves at him.He has resisted instigators for decades.According to Courtney he told Jen he had feelings for AJ so maybe he pursued her not vice versa

      • flan says:

        Thanks Kim.

Brad was the one in the marriage, not Angelina. It was his responsibility to stay faithful not hers.

Also, people seem to have all forgotten about it, but there had been divorce rumors for about half a year or more before Jolie was in the picture.

On top of that, there had been rumors even longer about JenAn postponing having a kid, while Brad wanted them and him being unhappy about that.

    • Lookwhosthere says:

The question really is who writes that s_hit? Some crazy, deranged fans who also work for tabs? She left a letter she never sent, and the person who found it talks about it seven years later, but doesn’t have it? Who, after all these years still believes this crap? They are milking that story to the bare bones, lol.

  10. LeslieM says:

I hate to say it but I grew tired of Oprah a long time ago. She is amazing though with all she’s been able to create and the remarkable amount of money she’s made. I met her after Hurricane Hugo when she brought her show to Charleston, SC. It was a real disaster and she kept telling her people “I’ve got to get out of here.”

  11. Loulou says:

I switched off Oprah when she publicly chastised the author found guilty of plagiarism. She accepted no responsibility for her part. It wasn’t her place to shame him and went against her confessional type of TV. It was horrible to watch and I’ve never bothered again. She is someone who has bred co-dependent audiences with expectations of getting things to miraculously fall from the sky on their lap as instant rewards for their membership into her cult. I can’t stand her.

    • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

I’m with you Loulou. What turns me off is all the holier than thou “live your best life” spirituality crap while she pushes her gluttonous materialism on anyone who will listen.
      She’s such a hypocrite.

      • Lizzie K says:

I lost all respect for her when she said NOTHING while Dr. Phil promoted his bogus “Shape Up!” diet products. Oprah certainly knows better than most how vulnerable women are to the latest fad diet and how easy it is to encourage women to spend hard-earned dollars on nothing but hope and promises. That whole program was a disgrace, and Dr. Phil ultimately paid $10.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit based on his bogus supplements. He and Oprah are nothing but another couple of greedy hustlers.

    • Oi says:

Kathleen Madigan (the greatest comedienne out there) called her on that too.

who cares about Amber Heard after seeing that cute puppy she is carrying!!

  13. Theresa says:

I watch The Way We Were over and over and over again specifically for Robert Redford. That man, especially in that movie, is walking sex. They styled him magnificently in that movie; navy uniform, sideburns, sweater over the shoulders, aviator sunglasses, OMG. And the fact he was romancing Babs in all her feminist glory, well that movie cannot be topped for romantic movie of the century!!!

  14. flan says:

She probably gets some money from syndication of her shows as well. If not in the US, then in other countries.

  15. dee says:

    Better oprah than michael bay

  16. CN says:

I always found her really annoying as an interviewer – always cutting people off when they were trying to get their words out. Let them speak!!!

  17. ME says:

Oprah just verbally berates the money until it jumps into her pocket.
Sorry, but her behind the scenes show about OWN didn’t do her any favors. She looked like an uppity witch.
