Not true for Christina. She was very, very thin before her pregnancy on tour in 2006 (actually got pregnant on tour), and she was very thin for several years after her pregnancy (except for the immediate post pregnancy months) up to 2010. She was slender in Burlesque. Christina in Haiti in 2010 with barely any makeup on was very slender. She began putting on weight at kind of a fast rate when the marriage imploded in the beginning of 2011 and she took up with her boy toy from Burlesque.

Christina very slender in 2010 with little makeup on in Haiti visiting with the children as providing awareness as an ambassador against hunger for a food program:

Christina is a very pretty woman, when she isn't looking like a hot mess. Very pretty features and a heart-shaped face when not heavier. Christina in 2010 without all the crazy hair, just a healthy blunt-cut short bob:

That's what most smart people would notice that Aguilera is not fat she just got butt implants or fat grafting to go with her boob implants and she has had lip injections ,a nose job ,and her eyebrows look like they got lifted.I think it's sad she walks around saying she loves her body weight and being bigger but had to get plastic surgery to achieve this look. Most celebs have gotten tons of plastic surgery once they do one procedure they don't quit.

Now, when I was in my health and nutrition class in college, the prof and the book said that the slowdown in metabolism as we age actually has very little to do with our age, but more to do with adopting more sedentary lifestyles as adults (having a desk job, for example). A lot of people disagree with me on that, so take it as you will.

I will give my standard disclaimer when it comes to pregnancy-related weight gain posts; I am 100% unqualified to comment as I am childless.

But I get what Tiff is saying here...I feel like she was trying to say that it's a lifestyle choice.

One thing I will say though is that I do not wish that I was the same weight as I was at 16-I'm in FAR FAR better shape now that I was then, thanks to knowledge and a religious workout routine. Part of me working out obsessively has been a determination to create a pattern that will transcend into my later years-whether I have kids or not, I want to always focus on exercise.

I was always an art geek growing up-never into sports and didn't discover the gym until college. But I'm lucky in the sense that I enjoy exercise and healthy food but I also make it a point to walk the two miles to work evey morning instead of taking the 15 min bus ride.

I DO think that every woman is different but I'm alwasy surprised that a lot of women don't understand how working out/calorie consumption tie in. For instance, you can't eat a 700 calorie cupcake and negate that by working out for an hour. Doesn't work like that.

And can I also add that sleep deprivation is always a KILLER when it comes to the waistline. If I don't sleep, I crave carbs like crazy. My body is telling me that I need carbs to give me the energy I'm lacking. I can only imagine how much this is compounded when you are not sleeping because your baby is up all night!

You women are amazing-having a child is so hard on us-physcially, emotionally. But as my mom says-it's worth it!

Whoa-just wrote a novel there-sorry guys!

PS-Bodhi, we miss you! Seems like you used to be around here more often..

Bodhi! I'm not trying to fight with you and am not bragging. I promise.

I totally grant you and said above that when I was having kids, childrearing and doing a full time career it was harder and I was much heavier.

I too am/now was in the medical field and the stresses of oncology and watching kids die drove me to seek out endurance riding (seriously long rides in the mountains and 50-100 mile races) as a way of escaping my anxiety and stress of my job. My hubby would care for the kids.

Now on CIrque, I have completely admitted many times that I eat super clean and walk a ton because I have lived in Europe and Canada and all over without use of a car. I got into yoga to get off pain meds and my kids are older. I DO have it easy right now.

I just do know a lot of women who look amazing as they age and give birth. My hips are a bit bigger, but everything else is pretty small. I fully realize how hard it is to balance a busy life and I don't judge.

Just making a point that many do look as good. I do notice a difference in what part of the country I am in and where in the world I live. Just don't judge people who like to work out for stress or rehab and eat clean because they have intestinal issues. You never know someone's whole story. I've lived both ways and I was a little what some would call lazy, but I would call exhausted after a long day with job, kids, laundry, dinner, etc...

Peace pipe? I did not mean to offend you.

I think that's great you find time to workout and prepare healthy meals. It takes a LOT of dedication and patience to maintain that lifestyle. I find myself on the recieving end of a lot of slack because I workout five days a week. I don't even eat seriously healthy, just okay, and people still hate on me because I have a lot more dedication than they do. But I workout for me, I don't workout to please others, or became someone for overweight mothers to target their anger at.

AGREE! Another thing that kills me about her is how she tries to sound so mature and sophisticated when she speaks.....Yet she looks like a clown and dresses like a whore....FAIL

She CAN sing really well, but as someone said she oversings much too often!

Why no tights past 30? I will continue wearing them because they fit and look good on me. I won't stop just because of my age, or because a bunch of women unhappy with their bodies can't rock em. I've got slender, toned beautiful legs I work hard to have. I will rock tights!
