Did Miley Cyrus punch a dude in the face to defend Liam Hemsworth’s honor?

Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth

Let me be perfectly clear that these photos are not the ones discussed in this story. Instead, these pictures show Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth heading out with Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus to Billy Ray’s West Hollywood concert about a week ago. Wait, Billy Ray still delivers live performances? I wonder if he sings “I Want My Mullet Back” before or after “Achy Breaky Heart.” That’s probably not the most pressing issue on all of our minds, which might just be Billy Ray’s reaction to Miley’s recent quasi-Gosselin haircut. Wrong again? Well, you’re going to find out anyway because Miley reports thatMy dad didn’t mind [my haircut], but my mom is like [a] southern girl that likes big boobs, big hair, big everything.” As for Liam, Miley says “He’s totally for it. He likes just being able to see my face. He thinks it suits me so much.” Yep, Miley and Liam are totally into each other, and perhaps Miley may have even defended her man’s honor by pushing and striking someone who tried to get into Liam’s face at a nightclub. TMZ says she’s a “suspect in a criminal battery.” Ruh roh:

Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus is a suspect in a criminal battery TMZ has learned … allegedly committed Saturday night inside a Hollywood nightclub/theater.

The alleged victim filed a police report early Sunday morning with the LAPD … claiming he and his friends were sitting behind Miley and her fiance Liam Hemsworth at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel when things got rowdy.

The alleged victim claims he and his friends accidentally bumped into Liam’s chair and the two camps exchanged words … an argument that quickly escalated.

The alleged victim claims Liam got in his face and Miley jumped in the middle to break it up — but not before pushing him away and striking him in the face. There were no visible injuries.

A witness tells TMZ … he saw the argument but Miley never threw a punch.

Calls to Liam’s camp were not returned.

[From TMZ]

After the story was published, Miley’s rep contacted TMZ to state, “This claim is completely false and erroneous.” Yeah, it sounds like nothing really happened according to the on-scene witness quoted in the story, and TMZ is probably just aiming to reap the sensationalistic aspects of reporting the incident. Still, I can sort of envision Miley throwing down in the middle of a nightclub or, at the very least, doing a modified verson of the “Hoedown Throwdown.” I bet she really hates it when people make jokes about that song.

I was really hoping this story was true.

    • Amelia says:

      same here ^^

    • deehunny says:

I actually think it is. I can see her doing this and I could see her not leaving a mark because she probably didnt hit him that hard (she’s like 90 lbs and probably doesnt know how to throw a punch).

  2. cmc says:

Oooo thanks for reminding me of that song! I’m (almost) not ashamed to say that was my JAM when it first came out.

*ahem* Where was I? Oh yeah…Miley, protect your man. This sounds like a nonstory, but I’d probably do the same thing (try to separate them, not strike the aggressor).

  3. Riana says:

It’s a cute cut. I like her a lot more lately. She seems like she’s finding balance in her life between ‘Disney Queen’ and ‘Sex Kitten’.

  4. brin says:

I can see this happening but I’m glad it didn’t.

  5. NerdMomma says:

So this “victim” tried to start a fight, a scrawny girl got in there before he could get hurt, he figured out she was famous and decided to sue her? I’ll bet she saved him from a pounding from Liam, who looks like HE could throw down if necessary.

    • Naye in VA says:

I think I saw pics of him and Thor (cant think of name right now) in an altercation with some guy on the street. I think its a safe bet that whole family can throw down.

  6. L says:

Why would anyone admit they got ‘beat up’ by Miley Cyrus? Who appears to have forgotten her pants in these pictures?

I don’t buy this, it sounds like this guy is just trying to cash in on her being famous.

  7. kitty-bye says:

I haven’t done my hair that short, but I want to run to the store & say give me Miley lol *_* <3 Cutie pie.

  8. OXA says:

She is under 21 years of age and by law she should not be in any Clubs or Bars.

  9. serena says:

She really doesn’t know how to dress herself..anyway, I don’t believe one bit of it. First if someone throw a punch in your face, most probably wearing heavy rings and stuff, of course there gonna be visible signs.

Look at me, Look at me!! (Miley) She’s gotten way too much press. Maybe they took her to her exorcism; I see the cross in the back. Seriously, I got my hair cut like hers a couple weeks ago w/t having it shaved on the side, and I think it’s a cute cut…to everyone saying, “She’s still young and exploring”; tell that to people who are 19 and 20 getting killed in Afghanistan (w/t getting a go to party in Las Vegas first); this is off the topic but it’s my schtick. Most of these young celebs, especially, need to take note that they are not the only ones in the world. Miley bugs me because she acts like a famehore. And in my opinion, she tries WAY too hard. Getting off my soapbox….just something to think about.

  11. Ari says:

I swear I thought Billy Ray was George Michael LOL

  12. Cletus says:

You mess with a Southern Gal’s man at your own peril. true Story.

  13. TheOriginalKitten says:

I think it’s awesome that Liam supports her no matter what she looks like. She transitioned from a bohemian-type chick to a little punk with the nose ring and punk haircut. A lot of dudes would be like “Whoa! Didn’t sign up for this”, especially guys his age who seem so superficial. Nice that he still loves her no matter what style she’s rocking.

    • Katija says:

Maybe. But a lot of guys – nice guys – have a hard time getting out of something once they’re deep in.

    • Garnish Utley says:

I once had a crazy GF who did something like that. It’s hard telling a woman that her hair looks life crap when you are getting nookie from her. You just grin and bear it, knowing it’ll grow back.

  14. wonderwoman21 says:

I remember when my niece was a huge Hannah Montana fan and my brother would tease her by saying “Hannah Fart-tana”; poor kid would get so mad. But now she’s a Selena Gomez and Nicki Minaj fan.

  15. Reece says:

I just googled that song. *dies laughing*

  16. Swethaa says:

    Whoa!!!! Chipmunk

  17. Nora says:

You guys! How does nobody see that the partially-cropped person on the right side of the second picture down is both stepping directly on a washcloth (as in between foot and shoe, not shoe and ground), AND carrying a bunched up wig? You’re missing all the best parts!

  18. CT says:

Why is someone carrying a handful of blond hair in that second photo? weird.

  19. mk yarwood says:

Good lord, that hair has been done. Tilda wore it last year. Pink still wear it, as does Robyn (and both have far better blonde jobs). Not to mention myself, and half the other girls who were in college with me in ’00. Done. DONE. Her whole ‘style’ is 12 years old.

    • yariettt says:

Sorry, mk, but as a hairdresser who also went to university with this cut, and having gone back and forth several times between long hair and short, i must point out that YOU CANNOT claim a hairstyle. First off, trends are cyclical, and second, there’s an indefinite number of ways to rock any given hairstyle. Personal style is just that, personal.

  20. buckley says:

hahaha talk about son in law duty.
No way do I believe Hemsworth is a BRC fan.

  21. Jennifer12 says:

Am I the only one who thinks she looks kind of like Madonna in “Who’s That Girl”?

  22. ZenB!tch says:

True or not, I can’t imagine a “real man” even admitting to being “beaten” by that tiny little thing.

However, I can imagine that “tiny little thing” getting in there because I would. I don’t like her as a celeb because I can’t stand her speaking voice but she seems like if she had something to do she’d be a cool person.

  23. Jill says:

they both look dirty. just the though of her trashy house ughhh I can’t imagine. They look like they smell.

  24. TJ says:

    1. Mullet Man still doing concerts crack me up.
    2. Is the third person carrying a handful of hair?
    3. Anybody else think she looks like Justin Bieber with that cut?
