Holy crap DDL looks just like Lincoln!!

    • Tiffany says:

I know, right!!!!! 1st photo, uncanny. I am so excited for this one as I feel DDL does not work enough.

  2. Erinn says:

Sigh. This just makes me want a Dane so much more than I already did. Boyfriend wants a German Shorthair Pointer (which I’m cool with) but I have such a love for gigantic dogs. It’s going to kill me to move into a house (saving for one currently) and leave my 85lb lapdog with my family.

  3. Marilyn says:

Would it be weird if I found ddl hot in this role? lol

    • Mira says:

No, it’s not weird. I’ve had hots for DDL ever since I learned of his existence. He’s the original hollywood hipster and a classy one. I’m however skeptical of this movie because of Spielberg and DDL’s accent is making me uncomfortable.

      • Eleonor says:

        I’m with you.
DDL has always been hot, he is one of my foreverdong The Last of Mohican…he was beyond hot in that movie, and still now he is way hotter than most of Hollywood man. Plus he is talented.

      • flan says:

        Well said, Eleanor 😉

    • KellyinSeattle says:

      I don’t know; maybe; but I think he’s hot , too!!

    • Christina says:

It would be more weird NOT to find DDL hot. In any role!

    • Tiffany27 says:

I’m kind of ashamed to admit this, but I found him to be creepy sexy in There Will Be Blood. Don’t even ask me why I can’t explain it.

  4. Amelia says:

Good lord. The Twihards must be stealing from Cracken’s supply if they’re making conspiracy videos.

  5. Chatcat says:

First, if I can’t have Fassy I want DDL to be my f*ck buddy.

Second, I went to Wonderwall and all that was quoted was that Romney would want Hackman to play him, nothing about in what type of role. So what, don’t we all have somebody we wish would play us in a movie if we could have one? I would want Emma Stone to play me. I think it was a benign comment…just like he said he likes peanut butter sandwiches. NST.

Third, honestly that Harper is the sweetest little baby with the most kissable damn cheeks! Adorable~

    • ZigZagZoey says:

I really miss Gene Hackman. It makes me wonder if he is alright, haven’t seen him in ages.

Have a great weekend everyone! ♥

      • Chatcat says:

        Hey Zig

You are right. Where is he? So many great roles he has pulled off non?

Have a wonderful weekend. It is going to be a beauty here on the East Coast 🙂

      • ZigZagZoey says:

        I looked it up….
He has not done any movies since 2006! WOW. But the good news is that he is supposed to be filming something coming out in 2013.

  6. Relli says:

    Hachi!

I watched it shortly after we adopted our Akita/German Shepherd and I cried so much. I love my big boy so much, my parents gave away my first dog when i was 6 and i think i have been overly emotional about the relationhsip between a dog an it’s owner ever since.

  7. Phil says:

In the actual MOVIE Titanic they say that both rose and jack would have been too heavy. Seriously, people are so damn stupid. Even if it wasn’t mentioned in the movie, it’s freakin common sense. Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. Anywho, I got a weird boner about the spice girls touching each other

  8. cubfan34 says:

I hope the movie stinks. Lincoln was Liam Neeson’s part.

    • Mira says:

And Liam Neeson willingly walked away from the project because he felt he was too old to play the part.

      • Happy21 says:

LOL, but he’s young enough to play a total sh_t kicker in Taken 2? That’s kind of funny to me!

      • Mira says:

Ha ha! Indeed. I think his argument was that he was too old to play Abe who was in his late 40’s or early 50’s at the time of the Civil War, which is the focus of the movie.

    • Issa says:

Liam was only offered the role because DDL had turned down Spielberg several times. After Liam decided to give up the role, DDL finally accepted. DDL was always Spielberg’s first choice.

  9. GiGi says:

That dog, Zeus, lives just down the road from me! He’s a sweet pooch 🙂

  10. Jayna says:

The man is brilliant. Liam neeson was attached to this project for years, but due to delays and it never getting off the ground removed himself for other projects and said he was gettting too old for the role. He seemed perfect for the role to me and still do feel that way. I was so disappointed until I heard DDL would be playing the role.

  11. Cam S says:

Can’t wait. I’ve always heard DDL totally immerses himself into the characters he plays. He is perfection. An actors actor- completely unmanufactured by the Hollywood machine (or seemingly so)

  12. Lucy2 says:

The movie looks good and the cast is phenomenal, esp. DDL.
Dina SHOULD claim she was drunk, any other reason makes her look insane. Which she is. And drunk.

  13. Kelly says:

Very impressive. DDL is amazing, one of the best working actors todays.

  14. Happy21 says:

Wow! I cannot wait to see this movie!

“Dina Lohan claims she wasn’t drunk for her Dr. Phil interview” No? Well it’s entirely possible she wasn’t…she was high…She was on something. She was whacked out. Yes, you can edit film to make it look one way or another but there was an exchange in that preview where she mentioned the little shoes and little tie where she is most definitely f**ked on something.

And as far as Lady Gaga goes, I have to think she is screwing around with her lips. They look a little more inflated than usual. However, Gaga has been known to use make-up artistry to alter her appearance so maybe that’s all it was. I’m dying to smell her perfume. It sounds very unique.

  15. Melanie says:

“Dina Lohan claims she wasn’t drunk for Dr. Phil interview.” Of course she claims that.
Does anyone else have a general policy of believing the opposite of anything Dina Lohan says?

  16. Fudge you, I'm going to Guam! says:

In other news Johnny Depp bought Vanessa Paradise a house in L.A. for her and the kids.
He also lets her and her new boyfriend use his house in south of france.
She is dating a french guy named Guy.
Judging by her quote on love, she wanted out too.
Never believed he cheated on her or dated other women, especially not famous ones plus she moved on quick.

  17. Aqua says:

The transformation of DDL as Lincoln is incredible I honestly can’t think of anyone having enough acting chops to pull this off.

  18. LucyOriginal says:

DDL is on my 5 top list of best actors. He is unbelievably talented. I can not wait to see this movie.

  19. Issa says:

Abraham Lincoln was noted to have a high, shrill, Kentucky twangy voice. The depiction of him having a ‘manly’ voice is completely wrong according to historical records. DDL is probably portraying the accent more accurately than previous attempts. Can’t wait for this movie. I’m more doubtful of Spielberg than DDL. Spielberg loves to invoke emotion and sap.

    • Mira says:

Correct. He is perhaps being historically accurate with the accent. Also, historical records are not wrong about his voice. It’s the baritone cinematic presentation of Abe’s voice that is wrong. I just don’t want the movie to be this year’s J Edgar. That is what worries me about Spielberg.

    • flan says:

For Gangs of New York, DDL listened to the oldest tapes of people in a New York accent he could find, so he could approach the accent his character could have had.

  20. Joe Shmoe says:

I can’t help but feel, judging by the trailer, that this film will be an abortion of history.

  21. GoodCapon says:

Wow, he does look like Abe.

I slightly like Sam Claflin but he doesn’t look good in those photos. The wig is a miss.

  22. Neve says:

this film looks good, but is made so much like the UK movie Amazing Grace- the biopic of william wilberforce who abolished slavery over here

  23. Malificent says:

Yeah, it sounds right for southern Illinois too, where he spent much of his adult life. Southern Illinois has a drawl that is much closer to Kentucky than the midwestern accent around the Great Lakes.

  24. Pensol says:

Whoa. This man has got his Honest Abe going ON! o.O

  25. lily says:

doesn’t anyone else hate Lincoln’s voice and accent in the movie. it sounds like a bratty 11th grader spouting off in Social Studies. unlistenable …
