These are some photos from last night’s ALMA Awards, the awards for Latinos and Latinas in the entertainment, media and sports industries. I looked through the photos, and I feel pretty confident that Christina Aguilera will be the one celebrity everyone will be talking about today. I’m of two minds on this: on one side, I think Christina Aguilera is simply heavier now, and we should stop judging her based on her old pop-star figure. On the other side, I feel the same way about Christina that I’ve felt (in the past) about people like Vince Vaughn and Gerard Butler: she just looks so unhealthy. Like she boozes all day and all night. Anyway, I don’t want to body-snark on her, I’ll just say that this Michael Kors dress is really unflattering on her. Incidentally, this is the same Michael Kors dress that Angelina Jolie wore to the Producers Guild Awards earlier this year. Also: Christina’s makeup and hair are doing her no favors as well.
Eva Longoria was co-host of the ALMAs, and she apparently changed outfits no fewer than seven times. She is flat-out exhuasting, so here’s the one look that I found notable – those panels are actually unlined, meaning that they were sheer straight through. Meaning that in certain angles, people could see Eva’s butt cheeks, and probably a lot more.

I’ve said it before, she is a very pretty girl and wears way too much makeup and although she’s a natural blond, she needs to ease up on the bleaching. That 3rd shot makes her look huge. Not a flattering angle.

Less is more! If you are going to do eyes, do a nude lip and for God’s sake do NOT do bright red Ronald McDonald lipstick lined waaay outside your lip line.

I just took one look at these pics of her, and see her baby hair/fine hair @ her hairline all around her face is THE COLOR OF HER FOUNDATION….gross!

I’ve had one zit this year-of course on my anniversary. I felt so disgusting, like hi, I’m here behind the big zit on my face. Very sexy. I started the retinols after that, not a zit again.
Plus I do not wear an inch of clown makeup on my face. I can see her all wasted at the end of the night with her makeup still on smearing all over her sheets. *shudder*

Xtina’s over the shoulder pose doesn’t help either. That dress does her no favors. When I see her on the voice she looks no where near this size. The hair and makeup don’t help either.
Like I said on the other Xtina thread, for a talented woman to pull crap like that is just frustrating. She needs a new team to talk some sense into her stat.

she’s definitely looking bigger but i still think she looks good.
Her face would look nice if it wasnt for the cake make-up. I cant imagine how icky that has to feel. I switched to Bare Minerals over 8 yrs ago and now just the thought of liquid foundation all over me grosses me out. It feels like paint on my skin. I really wish someone would clue her in on the benefits of mineral make-up, she’s such a pretty girl.

The things is with Christina, she looks unhealthy because she doesn’t look like she’s supposed to carry weight. She’s small-boned so any extra weight on her doesn’t wear well. AT ALL. The tacky hair and makeup doesn’t help her case either.

She looks very nice. At least, her horribly shaped legs (when heavier) aren’t showing with a mini dress way, way above the knees, and at least all her back fat isn’t being pushed out in some skimpy, tight, inappropriate outfit. At least her hair is not the usually wild, long ratty extension mess.

Here’s my action plan for Christina. I’d like to strip off her makeup and exfoliate her from head to toe. Then I’d like to cut her hair off to chin length and tone it down to a tawny brown. I’d put her on a raw vegan detox and we’d work out together. She’d do yoga, get lots of sleep, and stay away from the sun and any supply of self-tanner. Oh, and no makeup while she’s with me. Only excellent skin care.

I agree with everyone on this, from her hair & makeup mess to the unfortunate weight gain that makes her face look ‘bloated’.
Christina is naturally a very short small built woman. Because of this, even putting on a *little* weight can be really obvious & unflattering. I don’t like the dress, but at least she’s covered.
Eva – Just plain tacky. Just because you have a nice ass doesn’t mean we all want to see it bare through a tacky dress. (God knows what else showed at different angles..)

I can’t hate on her for the weight gain. I am not the same size I was at 20 either. But then, I look in the mirror before I go out and I also try to wear clothes that make the most of what I have(or is it, the least of what I have? anyway….)
But seriously, the make-up and hair need to be re-thought. And maybe ease up on the drinking. It’s not doing her any favors.

At least she looks a little more mature and together as opposed to trying to dress as she did in her Stripped days. No issue with her being heavier, but the makeup and hair are awful and I think she should take some styling lessons from Adele. She has a pretty face at any weight and she constantly ruins it with bleach blond hair and extensions and the Tammy Faye makeup.

The ridiculously heavy makeup and super processed hair remind me of the women who hit their prime at 25 and are still in denial about it 15 years later.
Christina should just let her body detox for a while. Quit drinking, get some exercise, and scrape that crap off her face! Was that foundation applied with a frosting knife? Trying not to generalize, but in my experience the women who wear makeup this heavy all the time have serious issues with self-confidence and are using it as a type of barrier. I can’t help but feel sorry for Christina because she has an incredible voice (when she actually sings) but seems like such an unpleasant person with serious personal issues.

Not a Christina fan, so whenever I see her, I think bad thoughts. Mostly, don’t like her superior attitude toward others, then there’s the usual over the top makeup, the white hair, the weight, and usually the fakes are spilling over the top of her clothing. The dress minimizes any clothing mishaps since it pretty well covers her up. I hate her weight gain and her boozing, too. Eva Longoria usually looks very well put together, very beautiful and classy, on the other hand. Not a huge fan of the dress she is wearing, but she is always tasteful and not over the top, kudos to her!!

Just a couple short years ago this girl was a bombshell sex kitten. I mean, have you seen Burlesque? Hubba hubba! But the “curvy” thing just does NOT look good on her, she is way too petite. Xtina, quit being stubborn, quit trying to prove a point, and LISTEN to advice for a change! You need to stop boozing, start exercising, and go with your natural skin color and quit covering your locely face in unnecessary pounds of makeup and spray tan. I say this is a FAN. As a “retired” skinny girl I have to cut her some slack. When we finally get curves after waiting our whole lives it’s hard to know when you’ve crossed over from “curvy” to “unhealthy”. She better get a handle on it before hitting 40yrs or it won’t be as easy to drop those extra 10lbs. BELIEVE ME!

I hate to say this but the way her face is bloated and how she’s much bigger in the stomach is an obvious sign that her body is getting over an eating disorder. Allot of the old Christina from early 2000′s is extremely thin, it doesn’t look natural. I’m not saying she’s not boozing it up on top of everything but it looks like from all this weight fluctuation in recent years that her motabalism is just exhausted and her body is going to take awhile to adjust to it all. The emotional issues behind her weight loss/gain are probably many and I don’t even want to go there.
She definitely looked the best physically and even emotionally during her 2006 Back to Basics tour and album (she wasn’t too thin) It was also during that time that she got married and generally just seemed very happy and content with herself. That was her golden year for sure, I hope she can get through this time and be healthier for it.
