Jennifer Aniston stars in yet another Smartwater commercial. She’s worked with the brand for years now, starring in both print media campaigns and commercials. For the record, I kind of liked Aniston’s 2011 Smartwater commercial, the one where “the bit” was all about Aniston trying to go viral. This new commercial is all about all of the “lies” told about Jennifer Aniston, like she’s always pregnant or that she wears wigs or whatever. Maybe it’s too “meta” or too much of a dry, witty satire, but I didn’t really “get” why the pregnancy stuff was supposed to be funny:
I think the cutest part is about her wearing a wig. Mostly because I personally believe that if she left her hair alone, it would probably look like that – naturally curly or wavy, and much darker. As for the pregnancy stuff… haha? Haha, she gave birth to Jimmy Kimmel and an alien baby and she’s pregnant with triplets, haha. Haha.
By the way, back in June, Page Six reported that Jennifer had appealed to Justin Theroux to help her with the next Smartwater commercial, and that they “are working on a short film spoofing the gossip coverage of their lives.” Allegedly, Justin was going to “help” Jennifer “write and direct” the “short film”/commercial which would parody “the paparazzi and tabloid interest in Jennifer’s life.” I wonder if that’s what this is?

Hi Spinner – yeah one of the things I like most about her. She really is a good comedic actress – wish she’d do something a bit more meaty in terms of film roles, not even serious stuff just better comedy she really has the talent for it. Maybe Justin will write her a really good script.
The thing is I think she would be a brilliant Mum. I always tell my son – one of the really great things you inherited from your Dad is his highly developed sense of humour! I think this can weather a lot of life’s storms.

Jen’s own words about how in 5 years she would have kids, how she wants kids and will have them. At almost 44 I really doubt she wants kids. It’s funny because after a point all the persistent rumors sound silly. Come on, if you were hounded like she has been (irrespective of whether or not she’s contributed to the tabloid mess), there will be a point when you would laugh it off than worry about it. Her tabloid life is truly funny, in fact bordering on atrocious.
She has managed to survive as an A-list just by being on the cover of every tabloid. And this is even more hilarious. I think her next smart water commercial should parody her A-list status in Hollywood – how she does not even attempt to take on roles outside of rom-coms, how they have been tanking at the BO, and how she continues to be an A-list star thanks to her presence in the tabloids.

I don’t buy bottled water. I use a filter. I don’t get how this commercial makes anyone want to buy the water she’s selling. But to answer the question The Jolie/Pitts have numerous charities in the USA. Some side charities and some big ones. Like Brad’s charity to rebuild homes wrecked in Katrina. The progress there has been amazing and he’s still going where other charities have stopped once the cameras left. And They both give atleast 1/3 of their annual income to charities. Some of those charities are in America. Some of those charities are specifically for famine and children right here in the USA.
Google the rest for yourself before asking others to do research for you. The results will answer your question.

She sponsors numerous children in SOS villages throughout the country, has visited stationed and overseas American troops, donates to all kinds of charities that help American people including childrens hospitals and cancer research centers. Wow, first of all for all you haters, this is a SmartWater CAMPAIGN which probably has a huge marketing team on its payroll. SmartWater probably pitched their new idea to JA and because she doesn’t take herself too seriously, she apparently decided to go along with it. Compare this to AJ (don’t jump down my throat, the queen of spades has already been played on this thread) who has already been mentioned as a paragon of not taking herself too seriously. Really? It seems to me that, for instance, in AJ’s LV handbag ad campaign she is taking herself soooo seriously we might just overlook the absurdity, ridiculousness, and grossness of her using Cambodia (and her connection to it) as a backdrop to peddle a way overpriced, opulent handbag that only a privileged few can afford. Where is her handbag in the UNHCR photo ops? Right … because carrying that bag amongst the people she sheds her concerned looks upon would be incredibly insulting and insensitive. If the issue at hand is a comparison between AJ and JA and who takes themselves more serious, I will believe AJ doesn’t take herself seriously when she does a parody of herself and that LVuitton ad campaign.

This Aniston thing would have been simply lame, but at least understandable if I hadn’t seen SO many pics of her over the years with her hand placed strategically over her belly to invite as much speculation as possible.

Shmeh. People say she’s pregnant when she’s not. This is not an intrinsically funny situation and it’s true of pretty much every female celeb. Never heard any particular rumors about her hair and the idea that she might have hair like anyone else’s is not particularly funny either. Seems like a self-indulgent in-joke that utterly fails to sell the product she’s been hired to shill, perhaps designed to draw attention away from the fact she’s shilling vitamin water when she in no way needs any more money than she has.

I don’t particularly care if celebs do ads but they ought to actually promote a product if they are doing them. I hazard to say not one single person is moved to buy vitamin water because of this little gem. But I suppose if they pay her to be self-indulgent instead of selling their product, then I can’t really blame her for being self-indulgent instead of selling their product.

I’ve seen plenty of ads with Jen promoting Smartwater. It’s really rich how celebrities who are not JA are OK with shilling products, but she alone is self indulgent. How do you know what the company’s intentions are for this ad? This blind hatred of her is starting to get a little weird.

Firstly, that stomach looks absolutely NOTHING even remotely like a pregnancy stomach. The shape is all wrong. Probably the worst pregnancy prosthesis I have ever seen.
Secondly, anyone who sells fraudulent tap water in a plastic bottle and advocates pollution is a waste of space and lacking in something up top. She certainly lacks ethics and morals.
