Her Nickelodeon shows were variety shows and less likely for running years later in the kid market, although Nick is running old Kenan and Kel shows so maybe they'll pull the variety shows out of the vault some day also. They actually were reasonably well done. I still remember the skit peddling candy that looked like vegetables, to replace veggies at dinner without parental knowledge... A doctor would be legally prevented from discussing anything about an illness, treatment, or prognosis without the patient's express consent. If she's angry at her parents and unwilling to let them help, then there isn't a damn thing they can do except pray she gets better or hope she becomes crazy enough to be put on 48 hour hold in a psych ward. I could be wrong, but I thought traditionally that mental illness usually turns up a bit earlier (late teens early 20s), and sometimes profound stress can bring it to the surface. If she had mental illness, you would think that filming tv and movies at the same time in her early 20s would be the stresser. Now, she has less stress because she isn't working. I have known many people personally who encountered Bynes while she was drunk/high out of her mind with two drinks in her hands. I think this might be more of a substance thing. Regardless, she needs professional help. Many times a “mental break” and the affects of addiction can appear to be very similar.
