I don’t understand this logic:if R&K are not a cauple again hardcore Twi fans don’t gonna see BD2.They will see it.If this consiliation is ”directed”by Summit/Lionsgate so where are the proofs that they’re together?It’s illogical.If this is true we would see pics of them together.Kristen wanted Robert to be Edward,but it was Hardwicke’s and producers’ decision to cast him.He was perfect Ed so people loved the movie.It’s not like Robert owns her something.And his manager (Rob doesn’t have PR team)will not confirm anything,because Robert doesn’t talk about his private life.

Cheating is a terrible thing to do, and their relationship may fail, but if he loves her enough to give her a second chance, and if she loves him enough to be willing to tolerate the inevitable distrust and bitterness she will have to endure as she tries to rebuild her relationship, good for both of them. Nothing about what I’ve seen of Rob in interviews suggests to me that he’s a stupid man, I think he’s just an understanding and compassionate human being. I think he recognizes that he is stronger than she is, he still loves her, and wants to see if they can salvage what they have. I am touched by the humanity of the whole situation.

Beth – I don’t hold with the dissing of Kristen on here, but be realistic. The girl screwed up and nearly destroyed everything that mattered to her. Rob took her back because he loves her and, because she was able to convince him that, despite her stupidity, she also loved him. She needs him. Look at the state of her at TIFF, and she only made it there at all because she had his forgiveness. I have far more sympathy with her than most people here, but don’t paint her as some independent, self-reliant, feminist icon. She is afloat today because her man loves her and forgave her. She will do anything, go anywhere, for him at this point because he is the single most important thing in her life now. He is her anchor, the one person that gives her hope. She has been through hell and she needs to rebuild her confidence before she can resume her career. If he were to abandon her, she would be lost. Fortunately for her, that isn’t going to happen because her man is Robert Pattinson and that, honestly, is the best choice of anything she has ever made in her life!

@Apples – I don’t know about the DVD sales but Rob, Kristen and Taylor get 1.25% of the box office of BD2 plus salary, the same deal for BD1. Based on BD1′S worldwide box office, the trio got an extra 8.8 million plus on top of the 12.5 million flat pay. They can get more for the last movie. For an extra 8-10 million I would pretend a reconciliation to assure the Twi-hards will show up at the multiplexes.

All parties have a lot to lose, particularly Kristen. The whisper campaign of the Robsten reunion, courtesy of Kristen’s PR team, started at TIFF. TIFF was days before the release of the Snow White and the Huntsman DVD. Then the rolling stories of Rob and Kristen are back together. (This is lazy reporting on the gossip press’ part for not confirm with Rob’s people that it’s true.) Next a sighting in a car that sets the Twitter-verse on fire for Twi-hards. Finally, stories of Rob and Kristen moving back in together, all before the official kickoff of the BD2 promos in October. The reunion seems too orchestrated for me; but bottom line, if Rob hadn’t “taken her back”, the SWATH DVD sales and rentals would have been soft, her contract with Balenciaga would have been in jeopardy, and the BD2 box office would be abysmal.

The Kristen fans claim by her insisting that Rob was chosen for Edward she gave him his career. Well, Rob’s “forgiveness” SAVED her career. And maybe we’re being premature in calling Rob a wuss. He may be calling the shots now because the “reconciliation” is pulling Kristen’s fanny out of the fire. Rob has a financial incentive to play along, but he’s probably telling her one more embarassing story about her and Rupert (or another man) and they’re done and HIS team will confirm it. And the gossip media will look stupid for going on the word of a blogger who is clearly in the tank for Stewart, and not verifying on its own.
