People are saying NBA star Lebron James is a bad dad for bringing his kid to a party in which a hot surgically altered babe is walking around topless. On one hand, I don’t see the big deal. There’s a nice public pool next to our place in Switzerland (I’m still in NY now, hence the later lazy posting) and I’ve seen women change their tops right outside and think nothing of it. They’re not nude all the time but if they were and everyone else was I wouldn’t care. My husband and I go to the public saunas and there are plenty of people walking around naked. What’s the BFD with boobies?
On the other hand, I remember thinking a European woman at the gym was being an exhibitionist for not wearing a towel while she dried her hair in the locker room. Before I moved to Europe, I had a more conservative opinion about nudity, because for me at least it was culturally influenced.
As Socialite’s Life points out, this wasn’t a breastfeeding mother earth-type party, this was a hot chicks getting the action started-type party.
Was Lebron James off base for not shielding his kid from it? The thing is - there’s only one far away pic of his kid around the women and all of them are wearing bikini tops. We don’t know when it was taken and what he actually saw.
I don’t think it’s a big deal, but I can see how people would say he’s being a bad parent for letting his kid be around that atmosphere - if he saw something. I only see one woman with her top off in these pictures, not that she’s easy to miss.

Forget the boobs, I personally would not allow my son to be present where grown men were gathered drinking and oogling women. I’m sure their language was fowler than the boobs.

I don’t think this was a casual European-style topless issue. If Americans were more casual about nudity I would still think this was less than classy as it is one topless chick at a party not a casual nude beach or something. If that makes sense. It is not the nudity itself but the context it is in. Let’s teach this kid to objectify women? We’re set then!

James was not thinking of his son, he’s head is what was on the mind. He was thinking of himself and the mom’s was there too why did she let her son hag around that BS.

Big Freaking deal. The only reasons women are objectified by the boobs is because of comments like this saying its a bad thing. If everyone would just chill out a little and be like look their boobs thats it. We’ve all got them, your sister’s got em, your mama’s got em, and your grandmama’s got em.

I agree its not the fact that there was a topless woman it was the context thats the problem. The fact that they’re also big and fake doesn’t help matters much.

I see the cultural differences b/w Europe and America.. but when in Rome! He can’t control the guests, but he should probably steer his boy clear of da boobies. He’ll be getting all into the boobies soon enough, he doesn’t need dad’s help!
