Anyway, these are new photos of Rob arriving at LAX after what I can only imagine was an exhausting flight from Sydney, Australia. Rob had gone to Sydney solo to do some advanced promotion for Breaking Dawn Part II. He arrived in LA, still a mystery wrapped in an enigma, sautéed in confusion, seasoned with ambivalence and then coated in glitter. He is Sparkles, plain and tall. But his friends are all, “Dude, seriously! You look like such a p-ssy for getting back with that lip-biting cheater.” Seriously:
If seeing is believing, then Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are back on. Over the past few weeks the couple, who separated after she was publicly caught cheating on him in July, have been spotted at Ye Rustic Inn, Chateau Marmont and Casita del Campo in Silverlake. So how much of their reunion is for love, and how much is it to promote Breaking Dawn Part 2?
As Star previously reported, Kristen and Rob held meetings recently about getting back together to promote their movie, but what started out as a staged reunion appears increasingly convincing, especially after photos emerged of Rob kissing Kristen at her new Los Feliz mansion. It’s a development that has Rob’s friends none too pleased.
“Taking Kristen back after getting played is royally embarrassing,” says an insider close to Rob. “He is absolutely having his man card taken away. Even if this is some sham relationship, no amount of money in the world is worth having everyone in the world lose all respect for you.”
Really? Not even $14 million? That’s what they each stand to make on the back end if BDII does as well as their last one and if they each get a standard 2%.

Yes, this is the problem if Rob did just get back together with Kristen for the sake of promoting the film, or for money, or even if he just took her back because her armpit was The One. It does make him look… weak? No, that’s not it. “Weak” is not the word I want. If it’s just for PR, it makes him seem inauthentic and like he’s just as much of a poseur as Kristen. If he took her back for love, then it just seems sad. Because he actually seems like a nice, decent guy. But in my experience, it IS always the nice, decent guys who end up balls-out obsessed with the nastiest, most untrustworthy girls.
Here’s one question I do have, though – does Rob really have friends who use words like “Man Card”? That’s so Schmidt. I wonder if Rob and his friends have a Douchebag Jar.

Instinctually I want to say yes, and agree with his friends, BUT Rob is young as well as Kristin soooo they should learn their own life lessons! As much as it would have been awesome to see him move on and with other females, he chose Kristin (sigh)

Trust me, I have seen it in real life and I feel really pity for the one who gets hurt. The cheater later apologizes so much, emotionally blackmails you so much that at last their partners had to forgive them and take them back thinking it would not happen ever again. 🙁

In reality, it doesn’t look like his friends are all that upset. A couple of his buddies were out with him and Kristen at a private Prince concert last night. There are paparazzi pics floating around this morning.

This story is so fake. Rob’s closest friends Marcus Foster and Sam Bradley have been seen hanging out with both Rob and Kristen. In fact, both guys have even bonded with Kristen’s long time friends and were seen hanging out in LA with them while Rob and Kristen were away promoting BD Pt2 earlier in the week.
Trashy tabloids like The Star know salacious stories sell better than the boring truth…Rob and Kristen are back together and so far, things between them seem to be good. Now if only those sleazy paps would leave them alone and the tabloids would stop making up lies about them.
It probably is made up. But, in my experience, guys say that kind of stuff and razz each other to their faces and behind their backs, and then next thing you know, they’re hanging out with the couple again like nothing ever happened.

There actually are pictures of the two of them together in private time over the last couple of years. Before this whole mess, they did tend to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible for people with a rabid fanbase like theirs. But there are pictures of them at private events like weddings, friend and family stuff, etc. They aren’t papparazi pictures and don’t make the magazines, so a lot of people never see them.

I don’t think it’s unmanly. I think he’s being honest and for better or worse it seems as if being with Kristen is honestly what makes him happy. They’ve been together for some years and they went through a unique experience together, so I don’t think you necessarily throw that away because of Kristen’s…I don’t even know what to call it. Hooliganism? Idiocy? Eh. Either way, if he thinks this is what makes him happy, more power, I guess. There are just so many other fish in the sea though imho.

Actually, there have always been directions to journalists that he won’t answer questions about his personal life. Nothing really new here. The qualifier was in place for the Cosmopolis promo interviews too, which is why they were asked so indirectly. Kristen’s name was never used then either.

They might be back together, they might become dozens of millions of dollars richer, promo will be fine but both have lost something they’ve wanted and desired for so long, more than anything in the world, and that they thought they’d get after Twilight was over – credibility. That is gone.
This entire drama gave them all the publicity the studio wanted but it took away their seriousness, and it took away their right to ever call themselves authentic, honest, real and, most importantly, private.
It also took away Rob’s right to mock Edward Cullen. He’s just as obsessed and love sick as he is, except he’s after a girl who treats him like shit. In no way he’s above Twilight.
It’s like all their game has been exposed. Every quote in an interview was a lie. There’s a game and they’re not above playing it. Fans better be aware of this.
This entire thing might look good to some: publicity, money, success, but if you know them, you know that it’s probably the worst thing ever to them because now they can’t ever tell people again they’re too good for this franchise, this audience and the tabloids. They did always act above it. This scandal has pretty much exposed them as just as bad as every other celebrity who uses PR to sell themselves and their movies.
They may stay together for awhile, but nobody hardly ever stays with their first major love. They’re more obsessed with each other than anything else.
I also think people are unrealistic to expect them to have a “normal” relationship. Their lives are anything but. As weird as it may seem to us, it may work for them. They understand the crazy they have to live with due to the fans and media, whereas another partner may not. They’ve been together during a major turning point and an insanity filled portion of their lives that few could understand, and they supported each other through it. That may not be as easy to give up as you’d think.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them go their separate ways down the road either, after they graduate to a new period in their lives. They may find they don’t fit each other as well as they did before.
They may well have had very different rules and boundaries to their relationship than what the average person would. It’s why it’s crazy for people to go on and on about how could they get back together, etc. None of us know what their relationship is like. Nor should we, really.
I don’t think a relationship is happy and working when one of them checks out emotionally long enough to carry an affair with someone else. A relationship with all this fckery is a dysfunctional relationship. Dysfunctional means it doesn’t work.
I think that in the belief that nobody is perfect and that love hurts, people give a pass to so many things because they’re ultimately codependent and can’t ask for the respect they deserve.
But love only hurts when you love the wrong person. Love is not supposed to hurt.
Even more embarrassing for Rob is that he has also been asked to turn in his Costco Card, his Pinkberry Pinkcard and his membership card to Gold Gym’s DudeDivision. These companies simply can no longer support his actions. They just can’t. He’s disappointed them too much in reconciling with Stewart.
The good news is that JambaJuice, Barnes&Noble and the entire Electronic Cigarrette industry have not asked for their cards back. Along with Coca-Cola and M&M Mars, they support Rob in his professional endeavors and understand that we all make crazy mistakes in our personal lives.

I think so too. To be honest, I think it may have attracted more attention for the movie when it looked like they were split and it could be awkward for the promo tour. Now that things seem to be back on an even keel, the drama is gone. It would have been better PR to keep them split and everyone wondering how it would be when they were having to do promo together. To have them hiding out other than for promo events, so that all the publicity surrounding them was related to the movie, not their personal lives.
