Over at Fame/Flynet, these photos are labeled “Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt spending the day at a park with their nannies in Studio City, California on October 27, 2012.” But Angelina Jolie was actually there! She stayed in the car and made some calls on her cell phone – you can see a shady photo of her here. Is that kind of weird? That she was all, “Go, children, play at the park with your nannies and I’m just going to stay in the car and make some calls.” Well, I guess Angelina is just showing us that she has nothing to prove, you know? If she was concerned about convincing us that she’s Mother Superior, she would have happily posed with her kids in the park. But since she stayed in the car, taking care of bidness, I feel like she’s telling us that Vivienne and Knox were driving her crazy so she took them to the park and let the nannies handle it.
Fame/Flynet also says that Knox mostly played by himself, but that Vivienne had a little friend. Who may or may not be Fax Cannes Jolie-Pitt, the mystery-gendered mystery Jolie-Pitt child…? No, of course not. Anyway, I love when we get new photos of the twins. I like the way they’re growing into their looks. Vivienne is such a little beauty, and such a girly-girl… so much pink! And Knox is a really adorable blend of both Brad and Angelina. Sometimes he looks like a mini-Brad, but I’m seeing some of Angelina in him nowadays too.
Vivienne is going to be making her big-screen debut with her mom in Maleficent, which I guess has wrapped…? Or are they finishing the production in LA? I have no idea. I thought the whole thing would be shot in England, so I guess production has wrapped now. Viv will play the young Princess Aurora, who is played by Elle Fanning. Last week, we heard that Pax and Empress Zahara also got small parts in the film too. No mention of Maddox or little Knox. Maybe Knox isn’t interested in movies. Maybe Brad finally got a little architect with Knox.

Actually they are not with their ‘nannies” the other woman with them is Holly, Angie’s assistant and her 4 year old daughter. They had backpacks so not sure if they came from school and just stopped at the park. I also noticed that Knox and Viv have on the same shoes. I agree that depending on the picture you can see either parent. But Knox looks more like Angie to me. Especially his eyes.

That’s one nanny, Angelina’s assistant and the assistant’s daughter playing with Vivienne.
Angelina and her assistant were pregnanat at the same time(I remember pics from Cannes that year) and her daughter has been seen with the twins and the other kids a few times.

Actually she is one of the few who I have consistently seen her nannies. All actresses in Hollywood of any consequence have nannies, all of them. I don’t have kids and don’t want kids, but if I did have kids, I would much rather leave them with a paid professional than my own mother. Point being, it’s socially acceptable to let grandma or other female relative watch the kids, but not hire help. But not everyone has that kind of relationship with their family, and it’s much better to hire trained professionals who take pride in their work – and probably genuinely enjoy their work – than with family who didn’t do a good job raising their own kids (Obviously, this doesn’t apply to everyone).
Edited to add: Angie is a busy woman. Those kids are going to have everything in life. I think it’s cool if mom makes some calls while the kids play.

Thank you for commenting on the judgy minivan crew. My med school classmate was Deborah Eappen, the mother of Mathew Eappen who died of shaken baby syndrome. Louise Woodward, an au pair from England, was convicted of second-degree murder after his death. Deborah, who had to have been in the midst of unbelievable despair, got HATE mail from people who said she should have been a stay-at-home mom. This woman came home on her lunch hour to breast feed her child. It pains me, how awful people can be.
After the killing of the 2 kids in New York, I think she is probably re-living that episode in her life.
Most nannies are attentive and loving caregivers.
I am sure there are those nanny-employing moms and stay-at-home moms who are absolutely great, and who ignore their children in equal number on both sides. So this is one time, not to throw stones.

What wrong with Holly Angelina friend taking her daughter, Knox and Vivienne to the park to play and brought the nanny along to help keep an eye on the kids while Angelina stayed in the car to make some calls?
If that wrong then I guess my sister is a really bad mother because some times when we go mall I take her kids to play at the play area in the mall while she shops.

I am planning to cash in on Auntie time so I can get stuff done without the toddler trying to climb me 24/7. Sure, its different because A&B pay people to watch their brood, but any parent will tell you that time away from the kid(s) it necessary for your mental health. So she was sitting in the car making phone calls, big damn deal!

^^This! I have zero vested interest in the Pitt-Jolie family, but ANY parent needs some “me” time, and I say that as a stay at home mom to two small kids. ALL of my time is generally spent with my children, so when my sister offers to keep them, even if it’s just for an hour, I’ll take it. It doesn’t mean I’m a bad parent.

They’re cute kids, but Ben and Jen’s brood are the ones i find so cute and adorable. My fav of Brangelina’s brood is Zahara. And I will always have a soft spot for Maddox, because I remember that carefree time when mom and son had such a tight bond and such cute photos together, the absolute joy in Angelina’s face with him and the change in her from motherhood.

Their kids look pretty healthy to me. Good teeth and not fat.. and when we do see them they are always doing something active. So I don’t see them growing up overweight. Brad has never been fat or out of shape, and Angie like her family is naturally lean. So good genetics.

Knox + Vivienne were FLK (funny looking kids) and now I think knox still somewhat is, but Vivienne is definitely growing into her looks….I think Jolie’s exaggerated feminine features are too much on a boy (her big lips, huge, prominent cheekbones, large eyes, big forehead, etc.)
Shiloh for sure though, looks so much like Angelina in her youth that she’ll be a definite beauty when she’s older.

actually, i did this a week ago.
i was picking up my eldest from school and en route to the pharmacist to pick up my youngest’s prescriptions. and we were walking home past the small “play park” when my cellphone rang.
apparently it’s my sister who was looking after my youngest. he tends to get amazingly cranky if sick (doesn’t get sick very often, but when he does, oy vey!).
when i spotted my long-time neighbor playing with her own child in the playpark, i immediately went ahead and placed my eldest in my neighbor’s care. i sat under a tree quite far away and had to deal with my youngest crying and trying to run away from my sister, kicking up a fuss, and generally making himself sicker. at one point i was like “don’t! don’t climb the cupboards! i’ll be home in just a tick!” (which is a lie, because i need to get to the pharmacist first, but hey…)
anyway, after 15 minutes of crying, cajoling, and promising things, i finally got him to lie in bed with a book.
i mean, for those who doesn’t know the whole story, at one point in time, i’m probably being a bad mother for: (a) handing my eldest to a neighbor in a park, and (b) leaving my youngest in the care of my sister because i’m taking calls in the park.

But why is that child drinking soft drink? He is what, three? I have seen lots of pics of the JP kids chowing down on Cheetos and chips and soft drink.
I know they are American and maybe that changes things. But where I live, little kids get things like cut up apple, cheese and biscuits, and juice or water.

We see what they’re doing or eating for less than 1% of their daily lives. They might live primarily on chopped apples and biscuits and cheese, for as much as we know.

My kid is American & he has never had soda or other junk in his life. Well, not that I’ve given him. My FIL sneaks him ice cream & God only knows what other junk food. I like ice cream, too, but 17 months is WAY too young for it

My fave is Chris Noth’s little guy. He is an absolutely beautiful child. I think he and Vivienne would make an adorable couple around 20 years from now. They’re the same age. Here he is last Halloween dressed up as Spiderman.
