yeah confession time… when I read Twilight before the first movie came out (before I knew how awful the whole thing was) I pictured Henry Cavill as Edward. I had such a crush on him from The Count of Monte Cristo… alas he is too old to be edward. And now, knowing how bad the series is… I’m glad he stayed away!

I’ve no comment on 50 shades. Have no desire to read it or watch it as a movie.

If Cavill couldn’t deal with the relatively straightforward role he had in ‘The Tudors’ I doubt we’ll be seeing him anywhere near an Oscar anytime soon. It wasn’t so bad in Season 1 where all he had to do was take his clothes off and you’d forget how lame his acting was. But in later seasons, when his character supposedly matured, Cavill wasn’t at all able to show any complexity or nuance. Could say much the same about Rhys Meyers – he was fine in the early scenes where all he had to do was look hot. But later on he was embarrassingly bad.
