Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are at it again with the tweeting of “subtext” photos. Notice that I am including Liam in this nonsense too, which means that those rumors of him being annoyed with Miley’s constant tweeting of drama are probably just that — rumors. As time wears on, I’m beginning to think that they’re really on the same page, maturity wise, which I guess is a good thing for a young couple who’s planning to getting married. She’s silly and goofy, and he laughs hysterically at squirrels. They also now have matching Teddy Roosevelt tattoos. And now they’re both being goofy by posting photos of Liam wearing a “wedding” ring via his Pheed account and her Twitter page. So, did they get hitched?
To answer the question, no, Miley and Liam probably didn’t get secretly married over the Christmas holiday or any earlier than that. They’re reportedly planning a huge, three-wedding extravaganza, and I don’t think Miley is the type to secretly head down to the courthouse to get married in advance. She wants a big, splashy series of parties, and she probably wants the cover of People. Basically, this wedding bidness is all she has going on other than her dogs and her pilates, so I can’t blame her for wanting to go all out with these nuptuals. However, I do blame her (and Liam too) for being generally annoying on social networks. Now we know that he’s all about the tweeting of dumb photos too.

Hahaha, +1 on all of that. That picture of Miley and her little sister is cute! So are the other ones. Just a happy young couple goofing off on Christmas day, I don’t see anything wrong with it. Although…it kind of looks like Miley is wearing a wedding ring too. Maybe they did get secretly married- I wouldn’t be super shocked if that were the case.

If she realized how young she was she wouldn’t be getting married. She’s obviously very immature, and her parents ceded control a long time ago. It’s sad; I hope she ends up more like Drew Barrymore than Lindsay, but if you’re paying attention, she’s headed for trouble.

Wow, OK, I see nothing indicating Lindsay-level problems here. Miley does seem to just be having fun, and being young doesn’t mean you can’t/shouldn’t get married. Even if she ends up divorced (likely even if she waited until she was 30 to get married, given Hollywood track records), who knows if she’d regret it? I’m sorry, I just hate when people pre-judge based on age. I got married at age 20, and so far everything seems to be going ok (yeah, it’s only been 2.5 yrs). Even if my husband and I were to divorce and absolutely hate each other, I’d never regret the time we spent together. How do you know Miley wouldn’t feel the same about her relationship with Liam?

Jeesh, many child stars even the out of control substance abusing partiers are far too mature for their age.
They skipped the childhood phase of their lives which normal people go through, and are adults whilst technically still being children.
If she’s being goofy, great. At least she’s enjoying her life rather than working to support her family.
And if she marries young, so what? she seems to have chosen a grounded person to marry rather than a substance abusing out of control partier. That speaks to her maturity even as she seems to behave in ways you disapprove of.

With all due respect, 2 years into a marriage isn’t any sort of gauge on how long a relationship is going to last. 2 years into a marriage, you’re still a newlywed. I met my hubby at 18, married him when I was 20, had a baby a year later and am still married 14 years later. At that age, you couldnt tell me anything. i knew it all. Love is all conquering. Love is all enduring. Nothing else matters. You couldn’t tell me otherwise. I love my husband, and I adore my kids, but Looking back, knowing what I know now, I’d have waited. Love is a struggle and a lot of hard work. when you commit to someone else in that way, and especially bring kids into the picture, there’s not much room for anything else until your children are grown, and then…..well, how old are you at that point? The OP is right. Miley is so young. But then, she won’t ever have to worry about being midlife and wondering where the hell her life went. She has enough money to buy a new one. I don’t hate Miley. I think she’s cute. My daughter watched Hannah Montana. But….if she was my child, I’d be whispering in her ear about how theres just so much to see and do in the world. If it is true love, it will wait. And her relationship will be so much stronger b/c she’s had enough time to be selfish and stupid, make mistakes and go buck wild and do things for JUST her. You don’t think it matters when you are young. It’s not until you’re in your 30s that you realize the opportunities you had that you’ll never get back.

I know just about everyone can’t stand this girl, and maybe that’s why I have a soft spot for her. I get that she’s kinda ridiculous, but she’s still a kid. As for the 3 weddings, I think I saw an interview where she said that was just a rumor and she’s only having 1 wedding.

Agreed! I’ve become a big fan. I’ve mentioned it here a few times, but while I was working for a celeb charity org, I worked twice with Miley and Billy. Easily the nicest, most accessible of all of the famous folks I dealt with. Also, saying she only has her dogs and pilates is totally unfair. Her new album is due out right after the first of the year, she guested to really high ratings on Two and a Half Men, so she’s just doing things at her own pace. Until you see what they expect out of those Disney kids, y’all, try not to judge. That is like indentured servitude. It’s pretty awful.

I think what it is, is that she’s one of those Disney Factory products that tries to get bad ass and “break her programming” by showing how edgy she can be and while true, it bugs us moreso because after being a product of said factory, it comes off as contrived and forceful and desperate…*yawn*

Its not like she was an adult and suddenly changed everything. she was a kid, grew up and changed- like MOST people do. The pictures came from her mother’s Facebook account which some fans gained access to, so neither of them are attention seeking at all.
She’s also said a few times that the story about her having three weddings isn’t true so this article is a bit much.

There’s also the possibility he’s wearing the ring as an engagement ring. Some couples do that. My husband’s ex wanted him to wear a wedding band as an engagement ring when they were engaged so that everyone would know he was off the market. Or maybe they were trying their rings on. Or maybe they did get secretly married.

Her pics are a lot like the ones my younger cousins post on Facebook all the time. I admit, I roll my eyes at Miley A LOT, but she just seems to be going through the stereotypical late-teens/ early-20s rebellion stage, where you’re trying to figure out who you are.
