I second that.
I admit with embarrassment I used to blindly buy into Gosling’s sensitive-hipster act. But I snapped out of it at some point and have since seen the light.

OMG, now I know he’s my perfect man for me! I can see us in our old age, knitting by the fire with cats in each of our laps. I assume he loves cats-he HAS to love cats-it would be totally consistent with his awesome sensitive man personality!
Men who knit are totally cool-kicking out a scarf every now and then IS relaxing-it’s not like he’s knitting something up for Project Runway!
Don’t give in to stereotypes, ladies!

I rented the movie Drive just out of boredome, not knowing who Ryan G is. I was absolutely blown away. I then rented and viewed as many Ryan G movies I could find, including the notebook, Lars, Blue Valentine…I love this man and his acting ability, I believe he can do anything as far as character. But I’m in love with him!!! Last time that happened was with Marlon Brando… just gave my age away, I can’t help it, the heart wants what the heart wants!!!!

@Samigirl: I agree! I saw Gangster squad this week and I enjoyed. I could not stand his voice. I really didn’t buy Emma as a bombshell, etc. Gos and Emma have huge onscreen chemistry, don’t they?

I know, I know, on paper, of course you want a sensitive guy who has emotions and is not afraid to use them but……
Every time a guy has cried in front of me (unless someone he loved died) I feel so uncomfortable and just want to tell him to snap out of it.

Ryan comes from a small town-next to London, Ontario..where i live. I believe he enjoys knitting and simple pleasures..like raw-dirty sex. Thus he is with Eva M. I am amazed at all he has accomplished— and watch Murder By Numbers..in the last scene he licks Sandra Bullocks nose. The Notebook love scenes are so lovely too. My fav. films of Ryan are Blue Valentine and Last Nelson.
