She wants to keep up with him to compete with Garner in the ex ego war, so she can rest on a fantasy that he still pines for her. In her deluded egobrain a part of him wants her but is taying with garner for the kids and she still has a chance. She says it was a taking stock moment about her own life- but this is about Ben. Her ego was bruised BIGTIME and publicly- she likes to rest on the idea a part of him still wants her. Lets not overestimate the maturity of these people after all- they are in a hollywood bubble, and it would simulate highschool very easily. However, a a Latina myself, I identified poorly with her role model. Most girls that are obsessed with the celebrity phenomena do, but that is not my case. Most Latin women that I know are beautiful but not glamorous and are much more grounded in their families and professional careers that trying to be a bombshell or date a much younger man to prove their attractiveness. Unless J Lo cleans her act and offers the rest of the Latin community something to identified with, she will continue to be blank of all these speculations. If she wants to win an Oscar or be respected in Hollywood, she must follow another strategy and try to take serious parts in serious movies and switch her strategy; stopping trying to be simply pretty and beginning to be simply respectable. She can have all the money in the world, but the respect of her peers is as valuable as all that money. Ask other people, R-E-S-P-E-C-T can be as valuable as wealth.
