Star Magazine claims to have an “insider” who has told them that there are legal papers that dictate the contact Nicole Kidman can have with Connor and Isabella, her children with Tom Cruise. It’s been speculated that the reason Kidman is rarely seen with her older kids isn’t because she’s not a loving mother, but because she’s been pushed out of their lives by Cruise and his Scientology minions.
In the Jan. 5 issue of Star — on sale Dec. 24 — we report that Tom had special papers drawn up shortly after his split from Nicole that carefully spelled out all the details of his wife’s visitation rights, according to an insider who’s familiar with the documents.
The highly confidential agreement — kept under lock and key at the office of one of Tom’s lawyers — limits the time Nicole sees the kids, how much exposure she can have with them and when overnight visits are allowed, says the insider. “She doesn’t go anywhere with those kids without Tom’s say-so.”
Although Tom’s rep denies it, it’s not just Nicole’s physical interactions with the teenagers that are monitored. All her calls to Tom’s house are documented, and no correspondence occurs between them without Tom’s knowledge — and that includes e-mails, reveals the insider.

Star isn’t the most reality based tabloid on the newstands, but similar rumors about custody of the Cruise children have been floating around since the couple split in 2001. You wonder what kind of dirt Tom has on Nicole that would prompt her to agree to that kind of arrangement. The Scientology cult regularly collects sensitive and damning information on its members as part of the indoctrination process.
The prospect of actual written documents that are this detailed and controlling add a new aspect to the story. Both Tom and Nicole were absent from the premiere of Seven Pounds, the first film their son Connor appears in. Tom was out promoting his movie and some people gave him a pass for that, but Nicole didn’t seem to have a reason to stay away. If contact between Nicole and her children is as controlled as Star claims, Nicole could have been told that since Cruise wouldn’t be there to play doting father, she couldn’t show up and look better than him. It’s all about appearance with Cruise and he makes damn sure he’s never out-parented by Kidman in the eyes of the public.
Katie Holmes must know that this is her future too if things don’t last forever with Tom. She bore the blood heir to the throne so she doesn’t stand a chance of being there for Suri as she grows up if her marriage were to end.

I agree Lenneke. I think there’s a story there that has been written out of their public history. And she has dealt with it by trying very hard to move on - to someone with a whole lot of OTHER issues.

I don’t believe this story for a second. I can’t imagine what could be so damaging to Nicloes carrer that would be bad enough to keep her away from her children. The reason I don’t like religion is for this very reason, if you don’t agree with what one person believes it is a cult or some other nonsense. And you can make up stupid stories all in the name of informing the public!

I have always thought those two kids go on the back burner. SURI is the big deal and you never even hear about them and their parents never share stories about them.Maybe the kids don’t want them too, but something doesn’t feel right about it.

There’s never found any proof to these rumours. I don’t believe Tom would be the kind of person to draw up papers like these, and I don’t think Nicole would ever agree with such a agreement, let alone a judge approving it in court! Anyone who believes such crap isn’t too smart. We all know magazines do make up stories but some stories clearly are fake and no-one should spend a second believing them.
Besides, don’t you think it’s curious such a report gets out right when both Tom and Nicole have huge movies coming out? Did it ever occur to you that it is a way to badmouth Tom and maybe push Nicole’s movie into better box office rates?! COINCIDENCE - yeah right! -
Just after Nicole and Tom split up, she was in Toronto staying in a high-end loft building in downtown Toronto that rents out penthouse lofts to ’stars’ when they’re in town (the Rolling Stones have a place there). A good friend who lives there got on the elevator one night and who should be on it but Nicole and a “handler”. She was sobbing something about “if this gets out I’m ruined….” but hushed up as soon as my friend got on. She said Nicole was the skinniest person she’d ever seen but etherially beautiful.

I don’t agree that Katie Holmes “doesn’t stand a chance” with Suri if they were to break up. Holmes is Suri’s biological mother, and unless Cruiser can prove that she is a DANGER to Suri, he can forget getting custody of that kid. The burden of proof is different when it’s a biological mom, which Nicole Kidman was NOT.
What could Kidman have in her closet? Easy! The fact that she married Cruise in order to make him appear to be a straight man, acting as a beard, would damage her career…not to mention Cruise’s, which would disappear completely if his true gay self were revealed.
It was a sham marriage, and those two adopted kids are controlled because they have been indoctrinated with Scientology. There’s no hope for those kids.

i read an interview of Kidman in a french magazine this morning. Asked what 2008 has been for her, she replied: “It has been an amazing year because i finaly had the chance to have a baby at a time of my life when i had lost hope of becoming a mother” (femina). I nealy fell of my chair whan i read this. This woman think she was not a mother before sunday! Cruise might (surely is) an asshole, but this woman has forgot long ago about the two little children she has adopted (bought) long ago…no excuse!

I don’t believe all of it, but I do think some of it is true. She is the mother. When she and Tom divorced she was rarely seen with her kids. Something is wrong. She has said that she will buy a house in LA to be closer to them. Why is she the one who has to move, why are they not with her and Keith. This whole thing is just not right. Suri is the chosen one. The other two kids are just there, or at least that is how it seems. Criticize Brad and Angie all you want. Adopted or Bio,, all their kids are devoted on equally. But now Nicole has Sunday Rose to focus on. I note that when you do see the older kids, they just seem so sad. It could be me..

I just remember back when Nicole and Tom were going through their divorce and some journalist asked him about it, and his response was “Nic knows why we got divorced.” I’ve always thought that was just a little mysterious. Of course he was more sane back then, so it seemed sort of outrageous, unlike today when we are not shocked at anything he says.

Lio, Nicole meant physically carrying a baby to term & giving birth. She always took care of her other kids hands-on, cooked their meals, etc. When they became school age & thrown into Scientology (brainwashed), she was ousted. Cut her some slack.

I am baptized Catholic, not a strict practicing one, yet I can drive into any church around the world & go to confession or chat it up w/ a priest for spiritual guidance. The priests do not keep a file on me (thank God) or follow me around, discuss my confessions w/ my husband or anyone else.

I totally believe this story. I think she’s been pushed out of those kids lives, and really hasn’t had the chance to be a mother to them, so her comment about “finally becoming a mother” is not far off the mark at all.
I would love nothing more than to see Cruise exposed for the fraud and freak that he is.

I bet that’s why Nicole’s never with their kids. That’s why she had to marry again and have her own with Keith Urban. TommyGirl’s kids will definitely grow up hating him for being a serial control freak. Katie looks drained and haggard lately because of it, no doubt about it.

I am wondering if the Scientologists might either have some info on her or are threatening her, because she won’t even talk about in public. And how many times is it that the father is awarded custody over the mother??? Not many. I can’t imagine she would just roll over and play dead for no reason. No one could seperate me from my kids without one hell of a fight. Everyone paints Tom as a bad guy, but people who really know him don’t seem to have that opinion….maybe he doesn’t control Scientology, but that they control him?

I think Tom divorced Nicole because it was thought that she couldn’t carry a child to term, and he had tried adopting kids but decided he really wanted biological as well.
Note that he was in a hurry to get Katie pregnant, but he didn’t marry her until after Suri was born. He wanted to make sure he’d get kids this time.

No they won’t. I met a child who was brainwashed to hate his mother, although his father was a terrible man who got him in a bitter divorce.
He neglected him and created a lot of problems, but made sure to feed his mind with negative things about his mother.
That child grew up to hate his mother in the deepest levels which it took years to mend, but never quite overcame.
Brainwashing is powerful- especially with children.

I think it’s pretty obvious that there and is some sort of threat to Nicole.
She stayed with Tom for to be close to her children as long as she could, until Tom decided to get rid of her and replace her with a new starlet to up his image (in his own mind…).
Then she was pushed out of the children’s lives, for the fear of her having an influence on them- when she is a Roman Catholic.
I think I heard she tried to warn Katie when Katie started to go out whith Tom, but she couldn’t reach her.
Tom and his bullies should be under investigation. Especially after the guy who got some pictures from the night of Tom and Katie’s wedding was found dead (the police claimed it to be a suicide…).

I don’t think there’s any huge dirt on Nicole, I just think it’s futile to sue for custody arrangements with a man who has the kind of wealth and power that Tom does. He commandeers the scary subculture of Scientology and they can just make shit up and hire people to say it’s true. I wonder if she doesn’t create a legal mess because she knows that would break the hearts of her kids, and this way there is peace.

I think since Nicole is actually a higher ranking Scientologist than Tom, it is she who is bending publicity for them, and she must have messed up big time to be the non custodial (and apparently has chosen non participating) parent.
The media is constantly being fed stories about him, and the negative attention earned points to intentional effect. -
Wasn’t the rumor that Nicole got knocked up by Ewan McGregor and had an abortion? Since Tom is sterile, it was obviously not his. I do think their marriage was a business relationship and she got careless. It was a convenient way to ditch her before the 10 year mark (community property) and take off with his new Scientology victims (kids) and make sure she kept her mouth shut. He could also generate some new publicity for himself and get a new girlfriend, hence the Penelope Cruz hookup. If you’ll remember, he was way too over the top too soon about that relationship just like Katie. It’s all for show.

I watched the whole video with Jason Bighe (some portion was on Celebitchy), and he talked about Tom being out of Scientology for about 10 years (as long as he was married to Nicole) and then he got back into it hardcore - that’s when he divorced her. I’m not totally certain as to how controlling Cruise is himself - rather I think the Church has overarching authority over him. He’s their best celebrity poster boy and they want to have maximum control. The only thing Cruise (in my opinion) has done is completely give it over to them for them to run his career and life.
On the other hand, I don’t doubt Nicole’s ability to play the media. The way she worked the pregnancy was pretty ridiculous.

Louwho, if Tom is sterile, who is Suri’s bio. father? Do you think it is another business arrangement? Katie doesn’t seem like someone who wld. settle for that situation regardless of her extreme infatuation w/ Tom. Also, Nic was a bit involved/tried Scientology for awhile. Doesn’t take much auditing to get bit of old dirt and/or emotions for their files.

the cult that is Tommie’s religion believes that anyone who ‘leaves’ the church is an entheta and should be shunned. Nicole tried the cult and didn’t like it.
When the end came in their marriage and the cult was behind it (I always thought it was an arranged marriage, similar to a three picture deal). She was to disappear, daddy does have more cash but mommie has an oscar.

Tom strikes me as a control freak and clearly Nicole is under contractual gag order not to utter a syllable regarding her relationship/family life with Tom. This is not news. While Scientology would never tell Bella and Connor they cant see their mother, they would strongly council against it. The religion prefers that members disconnect from “suppressive” spouses or family members who do not support and encourage their almost all encompassing religion.
She didnt stand a chance with the kids, theyve been trained to see her as someone who doesnt want what is best for them and should be left behind. -
I don’t know if it’s just because the media over here in Australia is always on icole’s side or what, but I think there’s something going on with that religion. I don’t think it’s Tom, I think it’s Scientology. I watched a doco on it once, and this guy went into a town where nearly everyone is a Scientologist, and he was followed, threatened, yelled at. It was very scary.

Good point on the 10 year community property deadline! Very interesting to note and I wonder if Kat(i)e will be ousted before 10? I remember the whole “Nic knows why” comment as well and it seemed menacing to me. They divorced on the heels of that disturbing movie Eyes Wide Shut which also featured a secretive cult-like group. Art meets reality? And all this business about 10 kids is just another example of his grandiosity–the man’s ego is boundless.
