Tom Brady and Gisele Bunchen aren’t engaged. According to his family he hasn’t mentioned it at all.

Tom reportedly proposed to Gisele on board a private plane, where he presented her with four dozen white roses, champagne and an engagement ring in front of her parents. Tom’s father and sister say that he isn’t the kind to make a gesture of that nature.

Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr., told The Boston Globe on Friday that reports of his son’s engagement were “rumor, rumor, rumor … We don’t know a thing about it. Nobody told me. We talked to him and there’s nothing to say.”

The Boston Herald reported that the couple strolled down Bean Town’s Beacon Street on Friday – and that Bündchen, 28, was without an engagement ring.

Bündchen’s twin sister, Patricia, also denied the report, saying in an e-mail that the engagement story – which first surfaced on TMZ – is “not true.”

Reached by People, Bündchen’s rep declined to comment. Stacey James, a spokesman for the Patriots, responded, “I heard the report that he [proposed] on a plane, but I don’t think it’s true.” Still, he added, “Tom keeps his private life private.”

Tom began dating Gisele in 2006, shortly after his then-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan announced she was pregnant with their son.

Since these two have been dating for more than five minutes, they have been dogged by wedding rumors. They were spotted ring shopping, they got married last March, or that Tom has proposed but won’t be announcing it until the off season for his team. Gisele was photographed on Friday without an engagement ring, so I’m fairly certain this is again rumor, put out there by a rival football team to distract from the Patriot’s big game, the last of the season, against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

While neither Tom nor Gisele’s rep has confirmed or denied the engagement, I think we can clock this one up to another rumor.

Note by Celebitchy: Brady’s team the New England Patriots defeated the Buffalo Bills 13-0 on Sunday, but are still out of the playoffs this year. Brady has not played at all this season after suffering an injury during the first game in September.
