You have to wonder if Michael Lohan knows the definition of hypocrisy. Although this is the man who has said that “family matters should be kept private“, he has rarely done so himself. He and his daughter Lindsay were fighting through the press again this Christmas, and he even claimed that he would release reams of material to prove that he’s the wronged party:
“If one more blog or statement is made people will know the entire truth, I will release emails, texts, depositions and audio tapes that will prove everything I have been saying all along.”

This is the man that talks to the press about how private he is but then turns around and has arguments with his daughter through the press. And now, in a move that takes the entire proverbial cake, he has started a blog. Introducing Mikelohanonline. (Link has automatic music.) I’m just wondering why he didn’t think of this months ago.
In a video on the right hand side of the site, he says that the site is “not about my family or myself or our situation,” right above a list of his “upcoming appearances,” including an interview on FOX 5 NY. He also promotes an upcoming film he produced.
So let me get this straight. This is a site that is “not about his family” but is meant to set the record straight about his family. This is a site that is not meant to be about Michael himself, and yet the address includes his name. Am I the only one who’s confused?
Half of the press you hear about Lindsay is about her relationship (or lack thereof) with her father. Either Michael is one of the densest human beings on the planet and really doesn’t get it, or he is a self-promoting genius. He is trying hard to look like the victimized father of a victimized daughter whose ex-wife Dina is the cause of all evil. Well right now, I’d pick the party-happy Dina over press-happy Michael any day.
Whatever. I’m just really enjoying the choice of Don Henley’s “Dirty Laundry” for his blog’s background music.
