Here are some new photos of Charlize Theron out in Beverly Hills with her son Jackson over the weekend. Jackson got a haircut! Charlize took him to the salon and he sat on her lap as he got a trim. Because mother and son both love a close crop, apparently. Speaking of Charlize’s hair – how righteous does it look these days? It just keeps looking better and better, right? I thought the high point was going to be the brunette fauxhawk, but I like her hair even more in these photos. Charlize just has the face and the attitude to pull off really short hair. She rocks it!!
Meanwhile, there are still lots of rumors about Charlize and Seth MacFarlane. I don’t get it. Apparently, Seth is no longer with Emilia Clarke (the Khaleesi from Game of Thrones) and he and Charlize are circling each other. Page Six seems to have started the rumor last week, and now there’s this:
Could this year’s Academy Awards have minted more than mere Oscar gold? There’s a lot of chatter coming from Hollywood that a new romance may have been ignited, thanks to a connection made at this year’s awards ceremony and the rehearsals leading up to it.
Translation: Oscar winner Charlize Theron and host Seth MacFarlane apparently really clicked while prepping for Sunday’s big show. Along with dancing in MacFarlane’s opening musical number, Theron also pre-taped one of the reaction shots for his much-discussed “We Saw Your Boobs” bit, spoofing famous actresses’ topless or nude scenes in their films.
According to folks close to Theron, the South African native thinks MacFarlane is funny, cute and charming.
“Charlize finds Seth to be a great guy who not only makes her laugh but has so much on the ball,” said a longtime Hollywood insider who has worked with Theron for years.
Reportedly, the duo not only hung out all night after the Oscars but are planning to see each other again. “This is early, but I see a new relationship brewing,” added a second source who attended MacFarlane’s own post-awards bash Sunday.
The timing of all this could work. MacFarlane isn’t dating anyone special, and Theron has been single since she and longtime beau Stuart Townsend ended their nine-year relationship last year.
“MacFarlane isn’t dating anyone special” – that’s harsh for poor Emilia Clarke, who was still with Seth back in January. As for Charlize… I guess she isn’t banging Alexander Skarsgard. I can’t say that upsets me, as I was one of the few who wasn’t into that pairing at all. Charlize is also going to be directed by Seth in his new live-action movie, A Million Ways to Die In the West. So, will she be bangin’ her director? Eh, why not? Apparently they’re both single.

I rarely see stars photographed with significant others. Unless they are famewhores, they seem to be able to avoid the paps.

She dated Ryan Reynolds but there never was a picture of them. Because of this I always find it funny when people think stars couldn’t live a pretty normal life. I mean Charlize also gets papped, I guess it’s unavoidably if you live in Los Angeles. But it’s not like we know about her dating life if she doesn’t want to. Well Charlize and Emilia could do better. I kind of think Emilia was with him for the press. She should have stuck with her co-star Richard Madden (not nearly famous or as rich as Seth, but at least he doesn’t scream douche to me)…supposedly those two were an item during season 1 of GoT. @cr: I’m not suprised that most of the sources seem to come from her people. Contrary to the popluar belief on this site, I’ve always seen her as overbearing in her pursuit of men. Not to say she must be some delicate, damsal that waits to be rescued by a man, just that ever since seeing her behavior with Fassbender, she seem overly aggressive.

I have no problem with her not sitting back and waiting for something to happen but with Alex and now Seth it just seems weird, especially for someone like Charlize, who’s a successful actress, has her own life, etc. Her ‘sources’ make her sound like teenager sometimes. It’s rather demeaning.
And even if there is a PR element to this relationship (as there may have been with Alex as well), is this really the best way to go about it.

I may be the only one who doesn’t get Charlize Theron. I’ve watched her interviews and the woman just comes off like a ditz and kind of mean in real life. Hmm that’s weird the fuss about JLaw is VERY much the same. These two have good agents and pr teams because this site is not the only site I’ve been too where people rave and rave and rave about both of them. I don’t like Charlize. No, you’re not the only one. And from what I’ve read in the non-PR channels, she can be quite the stone-cold bitch. It’s funny how that aspect of her personality is hardly ever brought to the light. Must be something about her face and the American drawl she’s adopted that make people just assume she’s such a sweetheart.
I do, however, give her props for adopting her son. She comes from one of the predominantly racist places in SA so I think it’s interesting that she adopted a baby who’s not white. But he looks happy and healthy, so I think that’s great for both of them.

She won an Oscar — and actually deserved it. That role in Monster was a godsend for her. Without it, she might have been stereotyped because of her looks or relegated to romcom world, like K. Heigl, who she reminds me of.at times. But she got a great part and ran with it, so props to her.
She has beautiful eyes, but I don’t find anything else striking about her face. She’s coventionally pretty.
I used to really like her personality, but lately she seems to be trying too hard to be cool, which is kind of a turn off.

I get that vibe from her interviews. There was an Oscar roundtable with viola and I just couldn’t with Charlize. The way she was acting with fassbender made me uncomfortable and it was just weird. She struck me as so phony and jc how does she have like the Natalie portman vocal fry voice thing? She sounds like a smoker. I loved her in arrested development and her films like the valley of Elah….might joe young (yeah yeah I loved that movie get over it), but her real life persona is so off putting.

@mainstream, I don’t think McFarlane is anything-phobic. I think he is overall disrespectful and takes things too far at times. Also, because being of color is more visible than being white, people who do what he does and say :I slam everyone, leave me alone" are automatically kinda wrong. But I don’t worry about him actually being rude or dangerous to Jackson, or any individual person of color. He’s opportunist and out of line; it doesn’t make him a true bigot, though.

Some toddlers are terrified of having their hair cut in any manner whatsoever, so maybe they went with the least traumatic option?
