Duchess Kate stepped out AGAIN for some work!! Twice in two days! Three days of work in four days!! This is amazing. Kate joined Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip at the Baker Street tube station to mark the 150th anniversary of the London Underground today. Kate wore a Malene Birger coat which seems new…? I don’t remember seeing it before, but Kate has a lot of blue coats and I usually approve of them. I almost always like Kate in shades of blue – it’s one of her best colors. I don’t know what she was wearing under the coat, but I know it was something short, because I can’t even see a hem under there. What is it with Kate and maternity minis?
But I have some bad news, y’all. The sausage curls are back!! She curled her hair extra-special for this appearance, maybe because she thinks the Queen loves her curls? I do like her little black hat/fascinator, though. It’s very “smart”.
While Kate was making a tour of the subway train, she was given a “Baby on board” badge and I sh-t you not, she asked, “How does it work?” The dude explained that women wear the badges on the tube so men know the ladies are pregnant and the dudes give up their seats. Kate also said something along the lines of “Oh yes, I’ve seen this before.” Back in her peasant days! She will never have peasant days again! It’s all special helicopters and luxury SUVs and private planes now.
PS… I believe those are Princess Diana’s diamond-and-sapphire earrings – William gave those to Kate last year, maybe?
PPS… She really doesn’t get that there’s a difference between “day” and “night” makeup, right?

OK, I’ve really wanted a shirt/sweater in that deep teal color ever since I’ve seen celebrities wearing it everywhere, but I can’t find it in the stores! Usually when stars jump on a trend, it trickles down to retailers, but I can’t find anything and I’m annoyed.

Yes, I similarly have been looking for affordable coat dresses (not any particular color) and can’t find jack. Super annoying.

IS she dyeing her hair while pregnant?
Why on earth?
That blue color is gorgeous. Such a beautiful color.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I don’t know if she’s colouring her hair or not but it is safe to do it while pregnant.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
That is not what I have heard from doctors.
The idea is to avoid anything that could harm. A fetus is a very very sensitive being and even tiny amount of chemicals could do harm.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
As long as it’s in a well ventilated area and you’re not using super harsh chemicals, it is fine. IF she’s colouring her hair, I honestly don’t see a difference in her hair but she could be, it’s not like she’s bleaching it blonde or moving away drastically from her natural colour and that would have minimal impact. There are henna dyes, vegetable dyes and lots of semi-permanents that are perfectly safe. The only time I would think twice about doing it is in the first trimester which Kate is clearly out of.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
She’s using natural dyes. They announced that at the beginning of her pregnancy because she dyed her hair darker and got bangs like a week before the pregnancy news came out.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
That was my first thought; her hair looks lighter to me.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Your hair is dead tissue. Hair dye won’t harm a foetus in any way. It’s fine to do. Just as it’s fine to paint your nails!
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Your hair and nails are dead. The danger comes from the chemicals being absorbed through your scalp, which isn’t dead. It’s best to use your own discretion.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
In this case, if she has done highlights it is perfectly fine as the dye doesn’t actually touch the scalp when foils are done.

Dave
Highlights and roots. You can’t say the same for root touch ups and she has been doing those.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Oh Lord — I used hair dye when I was pregnant and a quick survey of the literature seems to indicate that it is fine to do so. The Mayo Clinic site says “When you use hair dye, a small amount of the dye can penetrate your skin. Generally, however, the dye isn’t thought to pose harm to a developing baby”
It’s like having one cup of coffee a day – the pregnancy scolds come out in force! (Oh by the way, my daughter is just fine)
Report this comment as spam or abuse
She does. You can see her darker hair mixed in with grays growing out about half an inch in close ups.
It has not been proven either way if hair coloring is safe during pregnancies. There’s been limited research on animal testing. It’s a general rule that if you must color use plant based products, use proper ventilation, and don’t leave the chemicals on too long.
The chemicals don’t really sink into the scalp enough to damage a fetus, but if you do it every few weeks for root coverage you’re increasing the risk, by adding more chemicals to be absorbed. There’s also the fumes you inhale.
You can use plant based products, but they don’t work as well on some hair types.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I read somewhere (this site?) that she gets her hair colored every six weeks using vegetable-based dyes. The real danger is inhalation of the fumes, because only certain compounds can be absorbed through the skin – as long as the salon she goes to is well-ventilated, there shouldn’t be any problem.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I’m sure a salon does it all correctly. I never read the plant based bit on this site… but maybe. 6 weeks seems like a long time to go between visits though.
My only issue here is it hasn’t been proven safe or unsafe so no one should make that claim as fact. It is up to the individual person to weigh the pros and cons. Know the facts and use your own discretion.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
yes, she is dyeing. Yesterday you could see her dark (greyish) hairline. Normally her hair is dark brown, but now she is light brown (+blond highlights).

It’s perfectly safe to dye hair while pregnant. I live in the land of extraordinary hospitals (Boston)and you can ask any respectable OBGYN and they’ll tell you it’s safe.

When I was cooking in my Mum’s tum (our strange little similie!) she struggled through her pregnancy with a lot of spinal/nerve pain issues which meant she didn’t really eat a lot and was quite malnourished.
Ended up with a happy, healthy 7lb 9oz baba.
I thought the ‘eating for two’ myth was debunked years ago.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
You can’t go by that. I gained 35 pounds WITH TWINS. At thirty five weeks, my girls were delivered and were 6-9 and 6-12. That right, just under 13-1/2 pounds of baby for a 5’3″ who weighed 115 pre pregnancy. From behind,I didn’t even look pregnant. The weight gain changes according to the point in your pregnancy. Some weeks you gain more than others. PS I ATE A LOT and still didn’t gain. I was on a special 3500 calorie diet for their grpwth
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I’m in agreement with those who think Kate lost too much weight and appeared to have some eating ‘issues’ after her marriage. Having said that, you have no idea how much weight she has gained… it is obvious she has put on a few pounds, and seems to be doing well. Not all women gain a lot of weight, especially at this point in pregnancy, and baby size isn’t necessarily determined by how much weight a woman gains.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I agree with you. I had a friend who had food issues and starved herself during pregnancy. Her baby was born without a thyroid and severely mentally handicapped as a result of Mom’s diet (or lack thereof). That’s an extreme example, but a certain number of calories do need to be consumed in order for the baby to properly develop.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
How sad!!!
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I truly hope this baby comes out healthy, but if it doesn’t I hope no one places blame on Kate.
If the child has any health or mental issues no one can know for sure if Kate’s weight or lack of nutrition had anything to do with it. So often if the baby isn’t healthy or if a miscarriage happens the mother can blame herself and that’s awful.
I’ll rag on Kate for lots of reasons because she deserves it. Speculating on her weight as an indicator of her fetuses health isn’t one.
Not saying anyone here is, but just a hope for the future
Report this comment as spam or abuse
That is absolutely awful. I think that you should be perhaps be conscious of too much weight gain while you’re pregnant, but to starve yourself on purpose doesn’t make any sense. Poor baby.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Fortunately the doctors were paying attention to this mother, so they put the baby through every test after she was born and that’s when they found an absence of thyroid. The saddest thing is that her oldest daughter ( a different daughter) developed anorexia by the age of 9 and later died at age 21 of anorexia-induced heart failure. Yes, eating too much isn’t healthy for anyone, but neither is starving yourself. There is a happy medium, and I hope Kate is looking after her unborn child.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
You only need about an extra 200-500 calories a day when you’re pregnant and to gain, for a some one with a healthy BMI, around 25-30lbs. Kate did look a bit gaunt before she got pregnant but she looks perfectly fine here. She’s carrying the future monarch of the UK, you can believe she’s doing what she has to to have a healthy child.

@DGO – there’s something very wrong with your story.
Congenital hypothyroidism is caused by either a problem with the baby’s thyroid gland (missing/deformed) OR a lack of iodine (from mum’s diet).
Saying that low-levels of maternal iodine caused a missing thyroid gland is like saying running out of gas made your car’s battery disappear. It just doesn’t work that way. Both fuel & battery are essential, but not having one doesn’t cause the other to vanish.
If the baby was born without a thyroid, then their problems have nothing to do with mum’s diet. Mum could’ve eaten enough salmon to sink a trawler and baby would still have hypothyroidism.
The other option is that mum’s diet did affect the baby, but that only makes sense if the baby was born with a functional thyroid.
Also, congenital hypothyroidism is easily treatable (in both babies with low iodine and those thyroid deficits). It is renowned as the most common preventable cause of retardation. (Seriously, it’s THE text-book example of a mass-screening procedure that has an outstanding cost-benefits analysis.) The baby should’ve grown up with normal intelligence if a missing thyroid was his/her only problem.
So there’s definitely something wrong with your story. I don’t doubt that you have a pregorexic friend with a handicapped hypothyroid child … just some of the facts have to be missing/twisted. As stated, it doesn’t make any medical sense.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Her mother’s diet was iodine insufficient, which caused the congenital hypothyroidism. She’d been anorexic for years and lived on a near starvation diet prior to her pregnancies. Whether she properly gave the baby her supplements throughout her life is another issue, but the child is severely retarded with stunted growth.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Yeah, not doubting the overall gist of the story, just the initial claim that mum’s poor diet = absence of thyroid in baby. (It doesn’t work that way.)
Perhaps the doctors found “no thyroid hormones” (due to not having any iodine) and that’s got accidently twisted into “no thyroid”.
Or, perhaps the poor baby got stuck with two separate problems: developmental mutation (no thyroid) + pregorexic mum (no iodine).
Either of those would make sense.

No, she does the make up herself. Something about not liking people touching her face AND hating every professional make up job done on her.
She had makeup lessons from a department store (debenhams) several years back, so we can blame the overzealous makeup on shoddy teachers, bad student or indeed the hideousness of departmental store make up application. Those ladies are always over done.

Kate is the role model for all pregnant women. I’m not saying everyone has to go glam 24/7, but as a mother who’s been pregnant before, too many women let themselves go. When your at home, wear your sweat pants and lounge wear. When your in public (including the grocery) please spare us from seeing your too small shirts and stretched out pajama bottoms and over pregnant belly.
Again, I’m not saying heels and dresses everyday (although that’s how I chose to dress in my pregnancy because I found it just as comfy) but at least put on some maternity jeans or leggings with a loose sweater. Looking good doesn’t have to mean being sloppy.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
It is dandy you think Kate is a role model for ALL pregnant women, and that you chose to not ‘let yourself go’ during pregnancy. So nice that you choose to dictate what other pregnant women wear as well, and judge those who you deem to have ‘let themselves go’.
I think most women want to look cute while pregnant, and do make an effort. You never know what someone else’s situation is though… or if you happen to see someone on a bad day. Some women have very difficult pregnancies… be it that they are very sick, or have other issues, and wardrobe may not be at the top of everyone’s list. Just a thought.

It doesn’t take much money to buy a pair of maternity jeans and a sweater. Go to the thrift store if you want. I didn’t have to buy maternity clothes for a while when I was first pregnant, I just wore long shirts and belly bands over my unbutton pants. I did that until I was like 30 weeks. You shouldn’t gain a lot of weight in your legs and arms, especially not in the first half of the pregnancy.
If your too sick to at least dress yourself in a decent manner, stay home. Being pregnant isn’t an excuse to let yourself go.
I had a very difficult pregnancy, and gained a lot of weight. I had gestational diabetes and was at the doctors twice a week from 18 weeks and 3 times a week from 30 weeks.
I also worked my entire pregnancy (a fast paced high stress job) that required 50+ hours a week, up until the day before my c-section.
With all that said, I understand there are a lot of women who had it far worse than me. I’m not saying all pregnant women should strive to be as glamorous as Kate, but at least keep your cartoon pj bottoms at home and dress appropriate. If your going to the grocery, fine, wear sweatpants, but if your going to work or a nice restaurant, at least put effort into it.
That’s my opinion, and I’m entitled to feel however I choose. I’d never be rude or unkind to anyone based on how they look.

Uh oh… I’ll be nice.
Pregnancy is different for everyone. Some women don’t have the money to shop like her or the time to assemble themselves like her.
It’s also impossible to know if they’ll gain weight that becomes hard to keep off and nice clothes just don’t look good on you.
In short, If you’re carrying heavy, feet and ankles swollen, whole body is plump, baby sitting on your bladder so hard that pj pants are the easiest to quickly pull off, you shouldn’t have to also deal with being told that is how you should dress.

Exactly. I had HG for both of my pregnancies, for the whole pregnancy, and unlike the Duchess here, I had to go to an actual job every day. @ Rachey77. Do you have a dress code at work? Because I do, and so does Kate Middleton. Whether you want to believe it or not, Her Majesty sets the protocol as to how a member of her family is REQUIRED to dress while on official engagements.
Hems to the knee or below, heels no higher than 3 inches, must wear stockings of some kind (no bare legs), and no black clothing (gloves and accessories can be black, but black clothing itself is reserved for mourning). That is how Kate Middleton is required to dress for her job. She continues to dress against the stated protocol.
You may not like it, but those are the rules. Yes, it is possible to look stylish in to-the-knee skirts, kitten heels, and in colors other than black. Go look for photos of Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
And personally, I do not consider Kate Middleton a positive role model for ANY woman anywhere at any time.

Allow me to clarify, (hopefully if I’m not too thick to get my message across)I was commenting on mostly clothing with a faint hint of snark.
I am well aware of Kate’s change in size over the years. Whether it be scary not eating thin or athletically healthy thin Kate has ALWAYS been THIN. She’s never had a body/waistline like she has now. The same woman at different sizes wearing the same [type]dress will have that dress hang differently on her at the different sizes. In it’s most simplistic form, the hemline will rise. Until Kate wears actual maternity, not mod, clothes (which compensate with more and/or stretchier material) her hemlines will rise. In giving the “benefit of the doubt” (look up the concept) I was saying maybe Kate, in having this new body type, has yet to realize this. As we all can tell she is not into clothing beyond the designer name.
Now people, please, take your soapboxes, line them up against the wall and have a seat.

Kate’s build was never large, but I wouldn’t say she was always “thin”. Maybe athletically plump? Anyways, Her skeletal structure hasn’t changed, but her tailoring has.
She has a long torso and shorter legs. Sorry if you’ve heard this before. Her waistline tailoring is hiked up to give her an empire waistline (below the bust). This gives this illusion of longer legs.
I think it makes her dresses look like that “babydoll” style of the late 90′s. She has a very large expense account via her father in law. She could buy anything. She also has the best of the best tailors willing to cut off their left foot to work with her.
Point is she is styled exactly how she wants to be. She wants to show off her legs. She wants to wear her make-up like that. She likes her hair long and curled at the tip. She has also never been shy about her body. She’s shown every nook and cranny as gf, fiance, and wife. Her body o course is changing, but she seems aware of this and has made changes.

Re: the blush/contouring. It is all wrong. The contour line is harsh and doesn’t look like it was blended. When doing contouring, you must take it all the way down to the lower part of the jaw, blending carefully. Looks like she made a swipe of dark contour blush and topped it with a swipe of color. This does not work. Comments from real makeup artists requested.

Not a make up artist! But it looks like theatre make up.
Maybe the reasoning is she’s out in the sun, cameras are going off, and the wants the makeup to show.
Also, it’s no secret all her press photos get a couple runs through photoshop. Maybe she wants to make sure the makeup isn’t washed away?
Or maybe Will loves it. Everything she does is for him.
That’s my 2 cents.

Her tiny waist is temporarily gone so she’s showing off her still fit legs. Its short for in front of the Queen but not obscene. Wish she’d use less blush its a bit crazy looking but she looks happier here than all the other engagements this week. Maybe because she knows she looks good.

I don’t understand why she will spend $$ on so many other things but not a makeup artist. I frequently wear more makeup than she does and yet in pictures it doesn’t look harsh. BLEND BLEND AND BLEND AGAIN.

Question: Can any of the royal women wear pantsuits? I notice that I’ve never seen any female royal do an engagement wearing a pantsuit. Pantsuits are back in fashion and I think Kate could look great in one. Plus, no length issues or worries of an upskirt shot!
And the fact that she’s done three engagement in four days is surprising. Maybe someone did get the message? Only time will tell of course.

Most other royal families do (Letizia, Mary, Victoria, etc all do). Even the Countess of Wessex does. I think Kate is modeling herself after the Queen and sticking to dresses (and skirts).
Report this comment as spam or abuse
They can! Yes! And many Royal women from various royal families rock the hell out of pant suits. I find them more appropriate when they’re meeting children. Avoids the awkward bending to see them eye to eye.
I think Will prefers the dresses to pants and that’s why she wears them.

Thanks for the responses. It’s interesting to me because I can’t recall any of the British female Royals wearing pantsuits even though pantsuits would be great considering these are professional appearances.
I hope she wears a pantsuit at some point. And I hope she works more and starts showing a real interest in charity work. She has the power to make a difference and it would suck to see that go to waste.

Welcome to the club Xantha!
Unfortunately narcissism and apathy are her biggest hurdles. Until Will or her mother tells her to care more I don’t think she will. She’s indeed wasting a huge opportunity to improve the lives of others.

How is it that you know Kate is narcissistic and apathetic?
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Another K
I didn’t say it as fact so don’t try to phrase it like that. It’s opinion based, but there’s logic.
Apathy – Lack of interest or concern… She demonstrates this at both her solo outings to her hand picked charities, her donations to them, her frequency of visits and her knowledge of them.
Narcissism – Let me copy and paste here… 1. Excessive or erotic interest in oneself and one’s physical appearance. 2. Extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one’s own talents and a craving for admiration. Thanks Google!
The weight loss, shopping, clothes, tanning, fake hair, or if you think it’s her real hair.. hair dye and half a sunday at a salon. More vacation trips than work hours….
Simply put, she has never shown for 1 single moment that she cares about any of her charities, unless she gets to dress up for a gala. Unless it’s a vacation with Will or a private outing with him she just doesn’t look happy or interested. I could go on, but I’ve seen your posts. This won’t sink in. It’s a solid foundation though for my above comments.

Alex B., that’s it in a nutshell. We can look at the same picture or video of an event and I see a happy and interested young woman and you see the opposite. And I know I can never change your opinion, either. It won’t, as you say, “sink in.” So, we can just agree to disagree and go our merry ways.

Actually, Xantha, a pantsuit with a long jacket would be a really good look for her while pregnant. She could wear maternity slacks, have a loose fitting top and the coat length top would give a lean line. Plus we wouldn’t have to see the baby wave if she bent down to talk to a child.

I love the coat. I think Kate has one of the prettiest smiles around; her dimples show. But the Queen trumps everyone…I’m more interested in what she wears that what Kate wears. I love hats, wear them often, and like checking out the Queen’s, even though they’re “old lady”…but she used to but me, but no I’mm starting to like her. Kate is in her shadow, no doubt, pregnant or not.

That makes you think Kate looks like a prostitute? Really? Come. On.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
India I get it.
There’s a level of modesty Kate has lack for years now. Even during her and Will’s breaks she remained his “booty call” and even dating a few of his close friends. Reportedly throwing herself at them in front of Will. She also lost more weight and dressed a little more seductively.
And “tart” by definition is not a prostitute. Kate nails it! http://m.urbandictionary.com/#define?term=tart

Viewed link I posted on different device… Apparently “tart” does me prostitute. I never heard it used that way, but whatever. I always heard it used to refer to an image a girl was trying to project.
Like a woman that dresses sexy, wants guys to look at her, but will slap you and be insulted if she catches you looking. Not slutty, but not appropriate.

And then there’s younger sister Pippa who looks way older than Kate! It’s a thing over here I’ve found since moving to the UK, while there are lots of lovely English roses, I’ve seen 19 year olds that I swore were in their late 30s, and I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. Still trying to figure out after 8 years what it is that makes (some) of the English age so horribly. Men, too.

Meerkat, as the Queen is on record as saying “I have to be seen to be believed”, I wouldn’t be surprised. I don’t think she directly says anything, but word trickles down.

I wish Kate would look at Alex Polizzi and learn how to look great when pregnant – okay, earrings are a personal touch – and why not talk about issues which are important to women?! All this crap about royal women not being allowed to speak – SPEAK Kate, about issues in which you could get engaged, so we get some sense of how you feel as a woman. Sex slavery, abused women, child abuse? Perhaps I am just dreaming here…

Bluhare, I respect your many comments on this site but the so called quote from the queen “I have to be seen to be believed” which has been bandied about here quite a bit lately, is simply not true. I think LAK put it out there, and I respect her as well, but I am sure she is aware, as am I, that this was the work of the queen’s PR department. It’s not a big deal; that’s what press relations people are all about, that’s what they are paid for. But I am kind of tired of it being taken as the God’s truth. It’s sort of up there with George V saying something along the lines of (I’m paraphrasing here because it’s late and I don’t want to google it): “I hope my eldest son never gets married and has children so that nothing can come between Albert and Lillibet and the throne” which is a great sound bite but is actually a bunch of made-up hokem that was inserted into history so as to make the jump over from the extremely popular Edward VIII to the kind of dorky stuttering Albert (George VI) a little more palatable to the general public.

I read the article you cited and it sort of illustrates exactly why this “statement,” and a good one it is, was concocted in the first place: For placement in articles such as the one linked. No harm, no foul; it’s how the game is played. And I don’t mean to sound like a know-it-all or whatever. It’s just an area I am familiar with.

@ Another K.
The quote is referenced here too, in non-UK press:
Outfits That Say ‘The Queen’
www(dot)nytimes(dot)com/2012/06/03/fashion/queen-elizabeth-ii-sets-a-style-standard(dot)html
According to that, the quote is supposed to be from Elizabeth the Queen by Sally Bedell Smith
www(dot)nytimes(dot)com/2012/01/29/books/review/elizabeth-the-queen-the-life-of-a-modern-monarch-by-sally-bedell-smith-book-review(dot)html
I checked it out from the library but did not have time to read the massive thing to verify if it is actually in there. Maybe someday.
Does not mean it wasn’t made up or crafted for PR, doesn’t mean it was.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
@ Another K. Thinking further, if it was someone younger than Her Majesty, newer to the PR game, I’d think it far more possible that aides made it up. But thanks for the implication that the rest of us aren’t capable of recognizing a PR game when we read it. I’m going to bet HM has forgotten more about PR than any of us (including her PR department) has ever known.
Frankly, after 6 decades of doing this, HM is more than capable of thinking up her own sound bites so I’m going with: Yep, she really said it and possibly said it more than once. Maybe for PR reasons, but she most likely really said it.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
I have read the Bedell Smith book you referenced and I am sure the quote is in there. It pops up regularly in books and articles about the queen. That does not, however mean she actually uttered the phrase. I never meant to imply that you or anyone else here isn’t aware of PR machinations. But I do stand by what I said. I had no idea my original post would cause such a tizzy.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Another K – I don’t understand the point you are trying to make. That particular quote is in both Sally and Sarah’s biographies of the Queen and yes, it get repeated often in newpapers including the one linked above.
What you fail to see is that PR or not, the Queen is very deliberate and not at all wasteful of what she allows into the public domain. That’s why her publicly attributed quotes, even if they are PR, are to be taken seriously. She says what she means and means what she says.
Further, No PR is allowed to quote her or attribute quotes to her without her express wish. That’s why we don’t have an avalanche of quotes from her or ‘sources’ attributing all sorts of things to her. It’s the one policy every media company in the world has respected. It’s considered an absolute faux pax to report her remarks unless she expressly agrees to it. It doesn’t matter how harmless said remarks might be. That’s why it’s a big deal when her remarks are made public.
Finally, going back to my first point, The Queen always follows through. Her role in the royal family is the only one that comes with a job description in the sense that you or I understand jobs so she really doesn’t have to do ribbon cuttings and touring centres. However, she fits it into her schedule because ‘showing’ herself keeps her in public affections and keeps the monarchy relevant. She can’t do it Victoria style ie refused to ‘show’ herself for 40yrs and hope to continue the monarchy. Whether or not you are a monarchist, this new tradition of ‘showing’ herself is what keeps people believing in her.
William and Kate’s reversal of the policy is what’s fuelling the negative opinions because people don’t believe in them.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
LAK, thanks for that. I should have pointd out that the Queen’s PR never makes a statement without her approval, and if hey did a retraction would be made immediately.
Report this comment as spam or abuse
Ladies: I have no doubt all statements attributed to the queen are vetted by her before they ever reach publication. However, many, if not most, statements made by politicians, celebrities, etc. are generally written by staff and approved by the client to be a) published in an “interview” or promo piece and/or b) little tidbits for the client (and the queen is the client here even though she has an in-house PR team) to toss at will as an “off the cuff” clever remark. The queen is an intelligent and savvy woman and I am sure she understands and approves. Now, obviously you believe otherwise and we’ll leave it at that. Okay? Have a terrific weekend and my guess is we’ll have new topics next week!

Gorgeous coat. Love the color. She’s finally working! Hallelujah! And therein ends the positive.
The coat is too short, which only emphasizes how short her dress/skirt is underneath. I’m sure HM tsked tsked when she saw her. You don’t have to be into shoes to know those waterlogged suedes have seen better days.
I’m sure she’s exhausted from all her appearances and will be off on another vacation with Baldy soon enough.

There’s day makeup, there’s evening makeup, and there’s event makeup, which is what she’s wearing. It’s meant to not look washed out under bright lights and camera flashes. It’s appropriate for appearances, even if it seems a bit heavy for daytime. I would have gone with a bit lighter shadow, but the rest is fine for what it is.
