Here are some photos from last night’s Kids Choice Awards. I always forget about this awards show! Probably because I ever watch. You can see the list of winners here – One Direction won Favorite music group, The Hunger Games was declared Favorite Movie, and LeBron James was declared Favorite Male Athlete. And little Kristen Stewart won Favorite Actress, because that’s exactly what this awards show is – a celebration of actors like Kristen Stewart. I have to wonder if many of these “kids” really understand the scandal surrounding Kristen last year. Did their parents explain it to them?
Believe it or not, I actually like the way Kristen looks here. I like it when she’s got her hair this dark brown color, plus she looks like she recently bathed!! Her navy polka-dotted two-piece romper thing is by Osman, and once again… I don’t hate it at all. The color is great on her, and it’s perfectly appropriate for a kids’ awards show, although maybe the shorts are a tad too short? Still, it’s not like she’s hanging out of it, so that’s good.
Here’s Fergie showing off her tiny little bump in a Mary Katrantzou fishtank dress. The crazy pattern actually camouflages her bump. Don’t let Kim Kardashian know that!! Kim will try to do this and she’ll look like an actually fishtank.
Ke$ha looks just like a young Elton John if Elton wore a cheap-looking blonde wig in his youth.
I don’t care for Kristen Wiig’s shoes (look at her huge feet!) but I like everything else, especially her makeup. She looks especially pretty and low-key here. I’m glad she’s no longer styling herself to look like Jennifer Aniston. This is an improvement.
And here’s Khloe Kardashian. She’s lost some weight and this dress is maybe one of the most flattering things she’s ever worn. She looks GREAT!

I agree. Bad fit on the top especially. Also, agree the shorts are too short for the event and for proportions of outfit. Those shoulders look baggy.
Who’s her stylist?! We should call them out for not getting this tailored. This actress needs to look flawless- not a visual representation that she screws up the simplest of tasks.

How much better does K Stew look here than she did for the Oscars? That night she just looked pouty and greasy. Here she looks fresh and cute. What’s the deal with that?

She always looks more relaxed at these things because there’s children. Everyone is extra friendly.
At the Oscars either she’s too nervous, or she puts on her pretencious face, as in, “this is the company I deserve to be in.”
She is obviously comfortable with people younger than her.
The children are her peers- intellectually speaking. Less pressure to actually communicate.
I can’t understand how someone would choose to look better at a Nickelodeon awards show than at the OSCARS. But that’s clearly what she wanted.

I do like KStew’s look! I like her shoes and her hair and make up looks great. The shorts aren’t that short, the sleeves on the shirt are a weird length but that’s a minor complaint. She looks very appropriate unlike Katy Perry who wore a bra and a skirt. For real!
Fergie’s face always looks so oily and rough. I thought pregnancy would soften it out, but she looks the same.
Kristin Wigg looks terrible. I don’t like anything about her look.

Kristen looks really, really good here. I think the big difference in this look is that in every pic I’ve seen, she’s smiling. With her eyes even. She’s a very pretty girl when she smiles. And God – to have her skinny little legs!
Fergie looks weird. Kristen Wiig looks pretty, as does Khloe. Why are people so mean to Khloe, btw?
It is almost creepy how much KStew is smiling, so uncharacteristic for her. She is sucking it up so hard right now, maybe with some little helpers?
I think her PR team have definitely had words with her. Her attitude has certainly been less moody and sullen of late, and according to IMDB she’s got Focus and The Big Shoe in pre-production.
I guess the damage control is working.
While she certainly does look extra happy/relaxed here, I do think the whole “she always looks miserable” thing has been overplayed by the media. I’ve seen events where she’s smiling in 90% of the pictures, yet some sites will pick out the few that she isn’t smiling and create the “miserable” narrative around it, especially recently.
If you look at a lot of guys, like Johnny Depp, he never smiles and looks unwashed most of the time, yet noone ever makes a big deal about it. It’s rather sexist, really.
Bad if she’s serious, bad if she smiles. The girl can never win.

Paps always watched celebs, but it’s never been to completely obsessive stalking to the point it is now. Instead of just going in, doing your movie or album, & promoting it, now celebs’ entire personal lives are being ‘expected’ to continue ‘working; by insisting on it, probably even part of the contract before they even sign on for the project.
It actually makes me feel bad for some of these people, because I believe most of them are being forced to do so.

I never focused on posture until an MRI showed some of my back bones losing their S-curve, now I notice poor posture all the time. So many people have poor posture! These women are nothing on the folks at work I see hunched over their computers at work :-/
It’s *absolutely* from more & more people leaning over computers & other electronic objects like smart phones/ect.. at work *&* home, that’s really taking a toll on people’s postures. I’m guilty of it myself, even as I type this. x_x
I have excessive lumbar lordosis, standing straight for long periods just HURTS. 🙁 I try to anyway because it looks more professional, and I had to have perfect posture back when I played the violin, but when I’m just out and about…nope. My spine is just weirdly curved, and I’d rather look a little slouchy then be in pain all day.

Stewart’s probably smiling because the Kids Choice awards show doesn’t come with the same kind of pressure as the grown-up red carpets and other press duties come with and she can probably actually have fun there. That’s just an observation, not a defense of any sort; I do think she needs to learn how to handle her adult business duties with a bit more grace.

Finaly! After an entire year of red carpet mess after red carpet mess, the girl finally got it right. The clothes, the hair and the make up are all spot on and her attitude is much improve but then she’s always more relaxed at this kinds of things. Beautiful smile 🙂

Yeah, I get the same impresion from Kesha, she’s just always going for the shock factor but ends up almost always just being ridiculous.

Only thing I can say impresses me about her (in both good & bad ways) is that she has absolutely NO self consciousness, whatsoever. I think Kristen has definitely had a talking to from her PR team. How many times in recent memory do you recall her being photographed giving the finger? And here she is at KCAs *gasp* smiling and acting happy to be there. I definitely think someone told her that grouchy, sullen, “too cool to be doing this” shit she normally pulls wouldn’t fly, especially after the disaster that was the Oscars. I do think she looks the best she has in a long time, even though I’m not crazy about the fit of the top.
The problem is she needs to transfer this behavior to the Oscars, and to any other redcarpet. I saw her at the Oscars; it was atrocious. she looked and acted like she didn’t want to be there, not that she was nervous. When she was presenting, she did this big sigh before every word she spoke, like she was doing us all a big favor for listening to her. Not professional in any context, I can’t name any other presenter who has done the same at any other awards ceremonies, let alone the Oscars.
Her hobbling around on the red carpet being photographed dancing around on one heel was just ridiculous. How can she not be cringing at herself?
I can actually think of one person who was as awful at the Oscars. James “Douche King” Franco, when he co-hosted the show. KStew on Oscar night reminded me of him on Oscar night – sullen ingrates.
Kristin’s outfit doesn’t fit right. It’s proofing out in every which way. I know she likes to show off her legs but they remind me of a baby deer right before they learn how to walk.
There is a thing called MAC, Face and Body Foundation. She should use it next time. Nobody wants to see her bruised, veiny, pale legs.
I didn’t notice her bruises. I don’t really mind paleness- my daughter is a red hair and is very pale. I should get some of that make up for my veins. They also make spray on makeup by Sally hanson. I used to use it and people thought I was wearing hose.
@Isa – I empathize with your daughter completely. I’m not a red-head, but I’m as white as a piece of chalk, with face freckles (only in sunlight).
I have a very hard time finding makeup shades that aren’t way too dark for me x_x I’d never heard of this spray before, hopefully they’ll have something light enough for me to try it out…

My daughter doesn’t have freckles yet. But I feel bad for her because I know she’s in for some rude comments. Poor thing just burns and then her skin turns very blotchy. I just wish she didnt burn. I want to encourage her to embrace her paleness.

I mentioned in another thread that I tried to tan once in early HS…It was a complete disaster. I was blotched everywhere, absolutely fried/burned to the point that I couldn’t sit/sleep/move/breathe w/o pain. Then once it finally healed/peeled, I had 800-million freckles all of. (which has never happened before).
Point is, it’s a very, very bad idea. Some people just *Can Not* tan.
Actually… while the tanning thing was a huge pressure/fad thing during my school years, I’ve noticed it’s gotten a little better since then. (Maybe because of all the vampire movies or something? xD) There’s been more actresses/singers with fair skin around, so it’s more accepted than it used to be. =)

Kristen caught the deserved stuff she caught in part bec she broke “poor Rob’s heart”- the rest stems from getting involved with the married father of two kids- and her knowing them all – that’s a whole other level of vile- don’t care how old or young you are.

Julia Robert wore a t-shirt telling her husband’s former wife to free him. Claire Danes was sleeping with a pregnant woman’s husband. I never even heard about Claire Danes until this scandal.
Um, no. His image was enhanced when she cheated on him. He was the sympathetic one in that mess. He ruined his own image by taking her back.

Sorry, when your “momentary indiscretion” makes it into your Wikipedia bio, no one is going to forget….For those who defend her: the bottom line is Kristen built up a negative image for five years that was solidified by the cheating scandal. Using her age as an excuse doesn’t wipe away her EQUAL responsibility in the public cuckolding. It’s going to take more than Rob’s forgiveness, fan pics and big smiles – all achieved in a short period of time – to repair the damage Kristen inflicted herself on her professional life.

I agree that the drama surrounding them is ridiculous. I find it funny that so many people can’t pick up on the fact that “trampire” was supposed to be a sarcastic comment. Hollywood accepts men who have beaten their girlfriends and wives and who are open philanderers. If he was trying to be Captain America or some sort of action star, this drama may affect his career. However, he’s clearly picking art house films and those people could give a rat’s ass who he dates. It really boils down to sometimes the easiest answer may be the truth. It makes way more sense that they he a) either forgave her or b) they had an open or on and off relationship and/or were close friends the entire time. The problem both of them are going to have in the long run is shaking off the association with Twilight and not so much their personal lives.

@ Kay above- In contrast to the women you mention- while Julia Roberts’ romantic highs and lows were well documented,Claire Danes and Billy Cruddup’s relationship developed outside of the public eye, and not that this is really important to the issue at hand, but pretty sure he and Mary Louise Parker weren’t married.
Contrast to KS- all her “‘tude” and what not were a staple for years, she consistently treated Rob as nothing, and then telling him at STFU at Comic Con- and then Rupert- not surprising that all this mess has taken on a life of its own.
Is she going to kill his career? No, that’s on him- but now she certainly isn’t helping.

Kirsten Wiig looks awful, which bums me out, because I love her. Saw a photo of Johnny Depp and he looked ridiculous as usual. I can’t believe I”m about to say this, but I think Fergie looks amazing. On anybody else I’d hate that dress, but Fergie somehow pulls it off.

@Ariel – I’m stating my opinion like everyone else on this board based on what I’ve seen and read over the years. Kristen and her team did very little to clear up the bad perceptions until the cheating scandal hit and it damaged her reputation and career. Now her friendliness and charm comes off as calculated to many, although her fans will see no difference. Cozying up to respectable female stars, especially ones that were victims of a public cheating scandal like Sandra Bullock, is a way to show the world not all women think she’s a “trampire”. The only way, I think, her cheating will finally be buried is when women of note in Hollywood are willing to trust Kristen around their boyfriends and husbands, and when those women are not present. So far I see no indication that has happened.

Too short to be appropriate, the color is great, but the shoulders come off a bit odd and ill fitting top.

I think Kristen actually looks fantastic. I love the outfit, it’s cute and very occasion-appropriate. Her hair braid is young and interesting, and her make-up is very fresh and flattering. I don’t think she’s looked this good in a long time. Well done!
