Andy Murray goes shirtless in Florida after his Sony Open victory: would you hit it?

Here are some photos of tennis star Andy Murray in Key Biscayne, Florida over the weekend. Murray won the Sony Open Tennis Tournament, and after he won, he took a dip in the ocean and posed with his trophy. After this weekend’s win, Murray is now ranked #2 in the world (after taking the gold medal in London last year, and after winning the US Open). Novak Djokovic is currently ranked #1, with Roger Federer at #3 (Murray just displaced Federer). Murray’s rise has been nothing short of amazing, I think, and he’s got the hopes and dreams of the British people behind him – he’s the biggest tennis star from England Scotland in a while.

Now, for my money, swimmers have the best bodies. They’re muscular all over, they’re lithe, they have amazing backs and legs, and… well, swimmers will always have my ideal body type. But tennis players are probably my #2. Again, we’re talking about men with incredible backs and legs, with so much strength and agility… sigh. Still, I was surprised by Murray’s body in these photos. He’s built nicely, but he looks like he still enjoys some fish & chips and a pint every now and then. Maybe that’s part of his appeal? Also part of his appeal: his paleness and his crazy tan lines? I know he plays tennis in the sun and those tan lines are from socks and tennis shirts and all that, but YIKES.

Does anyone think Andy looks sort of like Andrew Garfield in the face? I do. And since I’m attracted to Andrew Garfield, I would probably hit it with Andy Murray too. Plus, he actually seems like a decent guy.

    Woud you hit it?

    No.

Does anyone think Andy looks sort of like Andrew Garfield in the face?

    Yes, he does.

  3. Chiquita says:

    He’s from Scotland, not England.

  4. Kaye says:

SPF is your friend, Andy Murray!

    Also: no.

  5. elceibeno08 says:

No, I would not hit it.

  6. Brown says:

I do not care about this guy, but one of my coworkers just said that RiRi and CB got married this weekend. I am not accepting it until celebitchy covers it.

    • gekkca says:

      Probably an April Fool’s joke..

      • Amelia says:

Oh, please no, that’ll be a mess of a marriage. Spouses can choose not to testify against each other, right?
Back on topic, I’d totally hit it, I got his autograph after his gold medal win against Federer last year and he’s a really lovely chap 🙂
But I’d probably take Djokovic over him … Or maybe Ferrer?
Gah. I’m such a fickle bitch today 🙂

  7. Jane says:

Doesn’t do anything for me. Please put your shirt back on, honey.

  8. andrea says:

Aw, I adore Andy Murray, but no, I still wouldn’t hit it. He really needs to even out his tennis tan.

  9. ramie says:

    Nooooooooo

  10. truthful says:

at first I said no, then when I scrolled down and saw that he is tall and manly in stature w/strong man thighs.

    yup, what the hell.

I am so tired of the celeb/LA men being so petite and scrawny. On screen they look tall and virile & in real life they are barely 5’7 and very petite w/tiny lil feet and hands.

how tall is this guy? his height and body perk me up a lil.

    • Jenny says:

I believe he is 6’3. I definitely would have said yes until I opened up this post and saw the first picture. I know he plays tennis for a living, but maybe he could go to the beach and take his shirt off a little more often. His chest just blinded me!

      • truthful says:

        thx

I like his height and as far as facially, he’s probably a nice guy–

something tells me he is not short of chickies.

      • GoodCapon says:

I like his height too. Tall men are always appreciated!

  11. Annie says:

    uuuuuuunnng.
As a former college player, his skill alone does it for me.
In general, he’s cute, but nothing special compared to some of the other guys(and girls).

  12. gemmaa says:

    At first, no.
The, scrolled down to final pic.
Big, strong arm with veins popping out?
    Sold.
    …I dunno either.

  13. Leni says:

    eeeeewwwwwww. No.

  14. Nev says:

    Nah.

  15. treefingers says:

Is it me or is his body disproportionately bigger than his head?!

    And yes, yes I would.

  16. Jenna says:

HEEEEEELL No. Why would you even ask that? Even as a huge tennis fan, just…no. No. No. NO.

  17. Ingttyt says:

I think most of you are nuts! Tall, great body, cute, physically talented, scottish accent? YES! Maybe some of you would be swayed by a formal picture, though it doesn’t do it for me. This, with a Scottish accent:

  18. Tessa says:

Yeah, probably. I’m not into jacked teeth, but I’d make an exception for Andy.

  19. moon says:

These photos are making me think of Fassy actually. But without the fassy sex appeal.

  20. GoodCapon says:

I’d put a paper bag over his head first, then we’ll get it on!

And OMG at his tan lines!

  21. Georgina says:

I’d have said yes until I saw those crazy tan lines. SPF, Andy! And yes, he reminds me of Andrew Garfield who I find very attractive.

  22. Spooks says:

Yes, I would. He looks so normal, unlike those muscular, tanned celebrities you see all the time. Tan lines are cute.

  23. dunzo says:

yes. yes. yes. I may be in the minority, but I always found there was something incredibly hot about this guy, his powerful aggressive game is such a turn on, plus he has a great tennis player body, he’s cute, he’s scottish and I have a thing for pasty guys.

  24. Ally says:

I love Andy, he’s an inspriation and at last reaching the success his talent deserves. But I never look at him that way.

Yes he’s Scottish but he’s also British and represented Great Britain in the Olympics, when he won his gold.

I never refer to myself as English, always British.

  25. LittleDeadGirl says:

Yes and yes. I love him. You have to see him in action. Plus the accent. It all works in motion. Hit it in a second.

  26. KellyinSeattle says:

I like him, but I absolutely love Roger Federer…and Kaiser, I agree with you that swimmers are soooo hot, then tennis players (and basketball, baseball, soccer; I just really have a thing for athletic men.

  27. nyle says:

    Hell NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    EEEEEWWWWWWWWWW

  28. WE says:

    no thank you
i bet he smells and doesn’t brush his teeth

  29. NEENAZEE says:

Alas, no… even tho I’m a major tennis fan and there’s a lot to admire w/Murray… i.e., he’s tall, strong, super talented, works incredibly hard, self-deprecating, humble, committed, his mom comes to most of his matches, he plays doubles with his bro, you get the idea. But I spent a lot of time in the UK for my last job and he’s just so… British. Can’t find the sexy vibe anywhere. Sorry…

  30. Pat says:

Hell yes. He’s a super nice guy.
