Many people are pro-choice but not pro-abortion. This means that they feel that abortion should be allowed, but only in the early stages of the pregnancy -- not later term, or, God forbid, partial birth abortions. Many believe that "human life/soul" or the "person" does not begin until after the first trimester. Some believe it is later. So to say that abortion is to "get rid of the baby" just isn't true.
