About this time last year, Liam Hemsworth’s brothers seemed crazy about his then-girlfriend, Miley Cyrus. Then the two young lovers got engaged, and the unknown (at least stateside) brother, Luke, revealed that Miley had won over the entire family’s hearts; but obviously, that was before all sorts of stuff went down in the Miley-Liam relationship … including but not limited to Liam getting busy with January Jones in the back of a car and perhaps continuing to see her to this very date.
So things have changed, and even though Miley and Liam have not “officially” broken things off with a press release, they also haven’t been photographed together in several months whereas they used to get papped all the time. Miley recently stated that they aren’t seen together because she’s so busy with her music, and Liam likes to go to the gym, or whatever. Of course, she wasn’t working while looking fabulous at the Met Gala a few nights ago, but Liam didn’t bother attending. Things certainly can’t be good between these two, and it seems that Liam is receiving some brotherly advice. Us Weekly claims an exclusive scoop on an a staged intervention on behalf of Chris and Luke, who have allegedly told Liam it’s time to end it with Miley. Here are the details:
Oh, brother! Liam Hemsworth’s actor siblings, Chris and Luke, were so fired up about the relationship between their little brother and fiancee Miley Cyrus, they staged an intervention with him in April.
“They want him to end the romance for good,” a source tells Us Weekly. And apparently their words have made an impact. The couple of nearly four years — who got engaged last June — recently stopped making wedding plans and have been spending plenty of time apart.
Take May 1: While the singer, 20, partied at Beacher’s Madhouse in L.A., the Hunger Games star, 23, hung out at Chateau Marmont. Though one source maintains the duo aren’t done, another insider adds, “Liam’s pulling away.”

I can believe that Chris and Luke sat Liam down and tried to hammer some common sense into him about his relationship. What I do find suspect is that I find it nearly impossible to believe that Liam’s brothers would sell him out to Us, but this report must be coming from someone very close to or inside the family unit. Could this tip have come from a source who previously talked to the press about Miley and Liam and may or may not have been warned not to go on record in the future on such matters? No, it can’t be. Right?

I’m with you girls on this one. You mean to tell me they pulled an intervention on Liam with Miley but that tacky famewhore who hitched her vajayjay to the next big rising star got a pass. It’s not always just about being ‘cute.’ The Hemsworth brothers seem to be from a close family with strong ties and family values. Miley is a wild child who loves to party. If one person in a relationship wants a traditional marriage, and the other person wants to continue the 24/7 party lifestyle after marriage, I believe pausing to take a break and think long and hard about where the relationship will be in ten years is practical.
And why would Liam Hemsworth have to use Miley to get a career? She certainly didn’t get him that role in the film where they met, did she? He got the role on his own. And if he got ‘that’ role on his own, why couldn’t he get his other roles the same way? If anything, being the brother of Chris Hemsworth would have helped him more than being the boyfriend of Miley Cyrus.
Tish Cyrus was the producer on the Last Song and was responsible for casting Liam in his role. In interviews Miley has said that her mom kept saying how cute he was. I totally believe that Tish handpicked Liam with the hopes/intention of them dating. At the time, he had just come over from OZ, but he was in line for Thor and had been screen tested for the Expendables too. I think Tish saw his potential as a rising star, and maybe/possibly a good guy for her daughter too. I do believe they genuinely love each other but I also think their relationship has been mutually beneficial, though maybe lopsided at times.

First … It’s the Producer(s) on a film who hire personnel. The Executive Producer, which is what Cyrus was on “The Last Song,” is responsible for the business, legal matters, and over all production of the film to ensure things run smoothly. In the case of “The Last Song,” it was either Producer Jennifer Gibgot or Producer Adam Shankman who hired Liam Hemsworth for the role.
Second … “The Last Song” (2010) was not Liam’s first role in an American film straight off the boat from Australia. His first film role here was in “Knowing” (2009), which actually did okay (with a $50 million budget, it made $183 million worldwide, $80 million domestically).
Finally … The poster implied that Liam Hemsworth had become famous due to his relationship with Country Bumpkin Miley Cyrus. The fact is that Liam didn’t know Miley before filming began on “The Last Song” and at the time he was already being considered for several projects. So how in the world could he have used C.B. for fame?
Miley’s mother may have thought Liam was cute and may have nudged her daughter in his direction, but Liam didn’t have to give either one of the Cyrus ladies sexual favors for his role in “The Last Song” because he was hired by one of the two ‘Producers’ on the film.

I don’t think Miley helped Liam’s career just because they starred in a movie together and began dating. If anything, her career stagnated and he is on the rise. She needs HIM now. Plus, she is different from when they first got together, when she was 16. She still needs to figure herself out. I think he is already there, more mature stage than Miley. Break it off already!!
I think he really loved Miley- and wasn’t using her. She seems to be well liked in real life.

The reason why people are saying that is because they dislike Miley. And the reason why they dislike Miley is really pathetic- it’s not like she has a reputation as a bitch or has done anything bad. These people dislike her because she’s going through normal young adult pop star experimentation- she’s tried pot and exercises her right to do whatever she pleases with her physical appearance. Apparently there are some more conservative people on this thread who can’t handle that and want her to look and act like a demure debutante, and since she’s clearly not doing that, they look down on her and wish bad things for her. What I don’t get is why everyone has hopped on the “Liam is more mature” bus. I think he really loved Miley in the beginning, but rather than deal with his anxiety over the fact that she was changing (because she felt secure enough in their relationship to try something new mind you) like an adult in a relationship, he decided to stick his tongue down JJ’s throat. His PR team – and therefore LH – has done everything possible to put the blame on Miley’s “immaturity” and left her to deal with the backlash of his dbaggery by herself.

I actually read on another site that this report is not true. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this story was bogus, considering that just 3 weeks ago Chris Hemsworth said that he was looking forward to Liam and Miley’s wedding, and someone else in the Hemsworth family was talking about how close the kids are to Miley.

Three main thoughts:
1-Until Luke talked about Miley while trying to promote some project of his [EPIC SIDE-EYE], I dont know where the general narrative of ‘Hems family was all about that relationship’ came from. A couple of months before the Crazy Kids got engaged Chris was asked about the rel-p on the red carpet and was VERY vocal about how those two are WAY young to settle down.
2-I’m sorry, but MILEY is the problem? In what world? Liam was the first Hemsworth brother to reach any kind of out-of-Oz celebrity level precisely BECAUSE of Miley. She has always had higher profile, more career options, WAY more money. Liam’s career so far has been a MILEY movie and 5 min screen time in a JLawr franchise.
3-As for Tacky selling the story…I don’t buy it if only bc that doesnt get HER any higher profile (bc it’s a nameless ‘source’).

I still have this feeling they were over long before the whole JJ situation and he’s letting Miley play it out how she wants because he knows he’s on the upswing of his career. I don’t really care either way but I don’t think he’s /that/ stupid to be so public with the whole JJ thing if it wasn’t already over.
I feel like a lot of times people bring up her haircut and her clothes as a valid reason for why Liam’s distancing himself and why she may be off the rails. First of all, if he’s not comfortable with her evolving style, he’s not worth it. Secondly, we all go through weird fashion phases. While I agree it’s not exactly my taste, bear in mind she is trying to distance herself from a brand that tried to make her come off as virginal- an image she tried to distance herself from even while she was working there by releasing sexy pictures and just trying to act like she was 21 when she was really just 15 or 16. Plus, she’s got a baby face and a childish voice- I have the same issue and people constantly don’t take me seriously because I look and talk like I’m young- but anyways, I totally understand why she’s taking such extreme measures to come off as older with her haircut and wardrobe. Outrageous style and immature tweets and all, I can tell she still appears to be more mature than my peers because she’s ambitious, confident, really in touch with herself and who she is, and has a good head of her shoulders- all qualities that are hard press to find in people her age. I believe it has been mentioned on here that she does not involve herself in any activity that the average college student wouldn’t, and she doesn’t appear to be involved in dangerous activities (e.g. DUIs, I doubt she’s done hardcore stuff like meth or her ion, and she has yet to go to rehab). All in all I think that while I’m sure she’s contributed to some of their issues, she’s not the one who we all know cheated. I really think we should give her a break- she’s not the one who should be coming off as a total douchebag here. Plus 20 year olds, even people in their late 20s, 30s, 40s, and so on, deal with rough patches in their relationship and have to work through their issues. Being in your 20s is a volatile period, especially in terms of relationships. And until recently, they seemed to have had a stable relationship. So what I’m trying to say is to give her some credit and she’s not the one who took a shitty route of cheating on her instead of dealing with their issues, and the questionable state of their relationship has only been an issue for only a few weeks or so who knows if it’s actually completely over?
Basically what I’m trying to say that everyone needs to lay off her. His brothers should lay off of her too. And let’s remember that they’re in their early 20’s, and other couples have overcome bigger obstacles than this and still are together.

I think this story could be a plant. If you put together all the other stories and blinds from around the internet, it would seem that these two broke up a while ago. Apart from not hanging out anymore, they used to live together and he hasn’t moved back in. Personally, I think they’ve split but are still in that messy post-break up phase.
I’ve noticed that on the PR-friendly sites like Jared, there’s been an obvious and really quite awkward effort to show “See? Still together!” from stitched together photos and useless “went there, did that” coverage. I don’t know if they have the same publicist, but someone’s definitely been making those stories run.
So with this Us Weekly report, I don’t really know if it’s just another random story to keep them in the news or if they’re starting the roll-out on a long-term break-up story that’ll play out in time to Miley’s record release and/or Liam’s next movie promo.

I think it is hilarious how Elsa makes so many people stabby and I love that everyone hear and elsewhere too have a long memory with regards to her ridiculousness. She is in it for the fame. I don’t think it is for the clothes, bags and shoes because her wardrobe is basic at best.
I found the castle photos funny as all hell. Never crushed on Brody but he was a willing participant in that tomfoolery. What ticked me off was the Africa photos. Exploiting poor people in underdeveloped countries for your own fame and glory was beyond disgusting. Elsa comments there seemed particularly condescending and gauche.

I don’t know if Liam did or did not cheat with January but he’s coming off a real douche. If he doesn’t want to be with Miley then he should make a clean break. But maybe they are handling this privately and this is just more tabloid bs. She can do better imo.

Is it weird that I find January Jones beautiful and damn near stunning on Mad Men circa seasons 1-4 but when I see her on the red carpet or just in modern clothes, I really don’t find her to be all that attractive.
The actress who plays Jane on Mad Man is far, far prettier but gets no play. Maybe her role was too small, but homegirl is stunning both on and off screen.
Miley is tougher than they are, she made it through Ma and Pa Crazy, so she’ll get through this too. Thor and other brother, Thor wannabe won’t bother her for long. She looks damn good in that chainmail dress, too.
