Miranda Kerr in a revealing dress on the Marie Claire cover: tacky or sexy?

Miranda Kerr covers the June issue of Marie Claire Australia in what I’m assuming is a completely new photoshoot. Whenever Miranda covers an Aussie publication, I always assume she took the time to pose for something new, out of patriotic pride or whatever. Can we discuss this image? Because there’s a lot to say and there are literally no excerpts I can find from the interview.

First off, did they just Photoshop her head onto someone else body? No, right? But the Photoshoppers did go WAY overboard with the work on her chest, bust and neck. And I don’t really understand why – if you’re putting a (former!) Victoria’s Secret model in what amounts to a dress made out of striped hosiery, why play the modesty game with her cleavage? Why make it seem like we’re seeing her neck through a soft Golden Girls-filter? Eh. As for the hint of Kerr Crotch that we can see in the dress… I guess Goop isn’t the only one trimming her bush to wear certain dresses. Yikes.

There’s a surprising dearth of Miranda stories right now, and I don’t know why. Surely someone is following up on that suspicious story about Miranda and Gerard Butler? You know what? If Gerry and Miranda got it on… I would be into it. I mean, I feel bad for Orlando and everything, but Gerard and Miranda would definitely be interesting.

If you look at Miranda’s Instagram, you can see that she was posting some photos of Flynn for Mother’s Day, and then on Monday she was showing off some shots from an upcoming shoot with V Magazine. She posted the butt shot (below) with the message: “Another shot from @vmagazine shot by @inezvinoodh Loved having a fringe for a day! ❤Miranda xxx”.

    Photoshop fail.

  2. Fritzi Schnitzer says:

Models are always told to show up to shoots “clean hair, clean face, clean-shaven”. She’s gorgeous.

    • Kay says:

That pic is beyond clean slate and add makeup. It looks heavily photoshopped and maybe like she has Botox in her face. And she is very thin these days

  3. Anna says:

That cover belongs on a Maxim, not Marie Claire. TOO MUCH, Mir!

  4. Lex says:

She looks so cute and normal in the picture with her baby.

  5. Mrs. Peacock says:

    Awkward boobage.
And DAMN that’s $8 in Australia? Ill assume conversion is whack.

    • nm says:

I agree, the whole chest area is just… awkward. Strange dress :/
And everything is more expensive here in Aus 🙁

    • MisJes says:

Everything is expensive here. $8.00 for a magazine is standard.

  6. serena says:

    Poor Orly..

  7. Amelia says:

    Uh . . . Marie Claire?
You’re aware that women have nipples, right?

  8. myrealitie says:

This is only one shot, so I should be cautious. But it doesn’t look like she has much of a connection to her baby…

    • The Wizz says:

Of course not. No mother that has ever had a photo taken with their child sitting on the floor of the kitchen ever does.

    • Lia says:

Probably because it seems like she is never with him except for a photo op. bloom seems like the primary caregiver

    • stellalovejoydiver says:

I got the same impression, her kid seems apathetic and uninterested in her while she is trying to look like a doting mother, but who knows.

    • jess says:

Really? I thought it was really cute and looked natural

  9. Kate says:

She just seems so smug. Why is she only mostly on Aussie mags she must not be considered a “super”model in the U.S.

  10. stellalovejoydiver says:

I think they photoshopped her face on someone else´s body, she is not that curvy, not just boobs also her thighs.

Someone on DListed wrote she looks like Stewie Griffin in drag, I can´t unsee it.

It will be interesting to see how she is trying to stay relevant.

  11. moon says:

    Boring.

  12. Andrea says:

I love the pic of her with her son.

I’m beyond tired of seeing these overly sexy pics on the cover of women’s magazines. Even in what is supposed to be “our” space we can’t escape that crap.

    • Christina says:

      +100

This is why I don’t understand the delight some people feel about the likes of Kate Upton being on the cover of ‘Vogue’. Why is it a good thing for a high fashion magazine to become ever more indistinguhable from a ladz mag? As if there aren’t enough big boobed blondes around as it is.

As for the picture, as always she looks far more interested in the ever present cameras than she does in her accessory, sorry, son.

      • Pipper says:

I thought the same about her relationship with her son. He is something cute that she parades around she doesn’t act very motherly. Always posing he for the paparazzi

  13. Will says:

    Lmao stewie griffin WOW!

  14. hateonit. says:

I’m sorry but I don’t get it. the hype that is. I don’t find her pretty at all. her eyes are too far apart and get head shape is too round. her body is straight up and down she never had any curves before or after the baby. I do however think that baby is the cutest!! Candice remains my favorite VS model always

  15. Katie says:

I think she looks gorgeous, but that neckline is so awkward; it looks like the dress is way too big for her. And I love her hair color! I want to track down that issue and run to my hairstylist.

  16. lulu1 says:

    All that money.

    And THAT’S her kitchen??????

Not exactly a place for an earth momma to be surrounded by her kiddies and their friends while baking cookies, is it?

In fact, you could just about squash a small servant into that space.

    • Melissa says:

I know, right? That’s an expensive oven, but that is a really tight space. Starts – they’re just like the rest of us!

    • Lauren Carter says:

Well, it’s not like she’s a foodie or anything lol. I imagine that the biggest room in the house (besides Miranda’s head) is the closet. 😏

    • Littlewood says:

She isn’t rich at all for a model. David Jones was paying her 200.000 a year and Victoria’s Secret about 300.000, it all was released when she got fired. An Australian article wrote about her Qantas gig and how she got paid with flights and vouchers. Her agent lied to Forbes to include her in the lists. Also have they broken up? They are on opposite sides of the continent for about a month now, how sad is it that the child was pictured with his nanny at lax a couple of days ago with his parents nowhere in sight? He’s like a toy they share whenever they need the publicity.

  17. Amber says:

Look at any pap or red carpet picture of Kerr and you’ll see she hasn’t looked like that in years, or ever. That photo looks like they morphed her w/ Elsa Pataky.

As far as the bottom pic goes, don’t you love that she’s sitting on a towel, in a cramped kitchen and has a photo taken? One of the nannies probably took it. At least one went w/ Flynn to NYC, b/c Orlando didn’t.

    • Littlewood says:

Exactly, what kind of parents let their toddler fly across the continent and aren’t even there to see him off? Could she not go to her family in LA or Bloom join his family in NY? Neither one is working so what causing them to life separately?

      • Megan says:

Everyone knows kerr tips off the paps so maybe bloom didn’t want to go to the airport and have to deal with them. But he didn’t spend Mother’s Day with her and that’s interesting

  18. xoxokaligrl says:

Its a good shot. But too Victoria Secret-ish for Marie Claire.

  19. cats says:

My brother suggested I may like this web site. He used to be totally right. This submit actually made my day. You cann’t consider just how much time I had spent for this info! Thank you!

  20. VioletCrumble says:

What annoys me about her is the little-miss-innocent-sweet-country-girl act. If you want to be a trollop, go right ahead, but please do consider that I have eyes, I can read, I have a brain and can analyse information. I am also very good at maths and can easily put two and two together.

  21. sexy dresses says:

must says some dresses are sexy but some dresses looks sexy when wore by some on as gorgeous as Miranda Kerr
