She’s such a lovely actress and woman. My thoughts are with her, it’s awful to loose a parent and it takes time to (somewhat) recover.

OMG I just looked at the Balenciaga ad…what was everyone thinking when they put that together? She’s a pretty woman, but not in those ads…she just looks freaky, and not in a good way!

She was quite voluptuous in her early career, she didn’t get skinny til she won her Oscar. Then gained some weight back, now she is looking too thin again. I totally heart JC, hope she gets some time to grieve!

Poor girl. How sad to lose her father right before the holidays too.

I think we often forget that movie stars and TV working actresses have pretty crazy schedules when they are shooting. I’m guessing a lot of calories are burned in this lifestyle. Plus, once you’ve seen yourself on camera enough times, I think anyone would start to see room for self improvement so they might start exercising and dieting more (happened to Aniston in Friends).

I thought Jennifer Connelly was always thin – grief does take it’s toll on the face though.

This isn’t the first time she’s lost weight. She doesn’t look remotely like she did in, say, The Rocketeer. (I mean, clearly it’s the same Jennifer Connelly.)

my friend’s father died a month ago and she has dropped about 15 pounds. grief will do that to you, so my sympathy goes out to jennifer. it is important to take care of yourself in these situations, so hopefully she will put weight back on. now, having said that i clicked on the balenciaga ads link and i soooo wish i hadn’t. scary!

Poor thing, I’m sorry for her loss.

Having said that, her face looked really gaunt in the two minutes she was on screen in Inkheart, so she’s been getting really skinny for a while.
