Linda Evangelista broke up with her billionaire boyfriend Peter Morton

Linda Evangelista and Choupette Lagerfeld cover the new issue of Vogue Germany, in a cover shoot by Karl Lagerfeld. God, the nepotism of this cat! Choupette is only famous because of her famous daddy/husband. Of course, making the cover of an international edition of Vogue has finally earned Choupette a profile in models.com. As for Linda – she looks amazing here. She’s just one of those woman who can really work in fashion editorials. Although she’s been looking kind of rough on the red carpet lately, so I’m hesitant to say she’s still “photogenic”.

Would you like to hear a somewhat interesting story about Linda? I didn’t know some of this – apparently, shortly after Francois-Henri Pinault dumped her (when she was pregnant) for Salma Hayek, Linda began a relationship with Peter Morton, a billionaire famous for the Hard Rock Café amongst other ventures. Peter and Linda were together through her pregnancy and beyond – they were together, all told, for more than six years. And now they’re over!

After winning one of the biggest settlements of all time in her child-support battle with François-Henri Pinault, supermodel Linda Evangelista doesn’t need to rely on her Hard Rock billionaire boyfriend Peter Morton. The pair have split up, sources exclusively tell Page Six.

Morton stuck by Evangelista through her bitterly contested child-custody battle with billionaire baby daddy Pinault, which was settled in May 2012.

Details of Evangelista’s settlement with French luxury brand mogul Pinault — now the husband of Salma Hayek — were not released, but a source close to the model said that she wound up getting nearly $50,000 per month in child support from Pinault for their son, Augustin James.
Evangelista had reportedly demanded $46,000 per month to cover expenses including nannies, chauffeurs and bodyguards.

When Morton and Evangelista began dating in 2006, she was pregnant with Pinault’s child — but the father’s identity remained a mystery until it was revealed by Page Six and when Evangelista later took Pinault to court, in 2011.

Morton and Evangelista — famous for coining the phrase “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day” — split once before, in 2010, after a string of arguments, and patched things up months later.

Whispers of the latest rift with Morton came at the same time Evangelista attended the CFDA Awards this week as a presenter, and walked the carpet solo. She’s also been seen out and about without Morton in New York.

Then again, the pair have always kept an extremely low profile, and they hadn’t been photographed together since a March benefit for the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Morton — who this year bought a former home of Elvis Presley’s for $9.8 million — reportedly prefers Malibu to Manhattan, while Evangelista’s based here.

A rep for Evangelista’s modeling agency, DNA, told us: “We do not comment on the private life of our clients.” Morton did not return a call seeking comment.

Well, I guess we’ve never really heard that much about this relationship because – despite everything – Linda is still able to be pretty damn discreet. I think that’s why the child support trial was so interesting, because Linda basically opened up her life and it was the first time we heard about so many of those scandals. Anyway, I’m sure Linda will rebound. And if not, she’s getting something like $50,000 a month from Pinault, so it’s not like she has to really put her back into landing another billionaire, you know?

    Choupette’s expression says it all.

  2. Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

Paid some of the bills today, I could do with a billionaire boyfriend right about now.

  3. Kiddo says:

OMG, from this pic and the last of the wedding, the doom is here. Those unflattering pleated tight ankle pants are back. Someone make it stop.

  4. Londongal says:

    Always one of my fave ‘supers’. Much respect to her re: the trial, any man who shirks his responsibilty as a Father is a douche. She obviously isn’t a gold-digger as far as I can see, she has a very successful career of her own and always appears to have taken care of herself. Hope she gets a hot piece to complete her full transition to ‘righteous bitch’. :-}

  5. Anna says:

She is still drop dead gorgeous, and I love that she’s open about regularly using botox – and still being able to give a great face for the shoots. I think the reason she’s been ‘looking rough’ is the questionable fashion and makeup choices. It continues to baffle me that most supermodels – of today and yore – cannot properly style themselves.

  6. LAK says:

After that trial, and especially the detail of what that $46K was to cover ie mommy support and time away from the kid because in her own words ‘she couldn’t be alone with him’ my Linda boner died.

Also, the only reason she went for the child support was because this Morton guy had split with her, seemingly for good. She will always be a gold digger to me.

  7. Anna says:

Also, Choupette is such a diva. I bet she doesnt get out of bed for less than 10k per day.

  8. lisa says:

i’m jealousing, i wanna meet choupette

  9. Sherry says:

Linda, Christie Brinkley and Cindy Crawford were always my favorite supermodels. However, after reading that she didn’t want to be alone with her son, it kind of killed it for me with her.

What kind of a person has a child, but doesn’t want to be with them?

She seems like a very shallow individual.

    • Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

This is sad for the child – who deserves a loving mother – heck even Octomom spends time with her kids.

      • Amanda says:

That is sad. If Octomom is better than Linda in that regard, that’s the bottom of the barrel.

    • Janet says:

Wasn’t she the one who said she wouldn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day?

  10. TOPgirl says:

Good that she won that child support money because her and her child should not have to live like crap just because he moved on to Selma hayek.

  11. TheOneAndOnly says:

I would add londongal, at least they put a super from the 90s (Yasmeen Ghauri,Naomi Campbell, and Shalom Harlow are my favs), on the cover, whereas in the US all these mags have been taken over by overexposed celebutards from JLo and Beyawnce to Demi Lovato and the Lardassians – we can thank the conglomerates that have taken over publishing and Anne wintour for this.

    • Mar says:

Lol not unless Grumpy got 10k!

    • Mar says:

Totally agree. Christy Turlington, Helena Christiansen- models were amazing back then- now we have Jlo and other cheese balls shoved down out throats!!!

  12. bns says:

    My favorite.

  13. Sugarrbunny says:

She only dated Pinault a few times yet managed to become pregnant. He made the comment he hardly knew her & here she was with child. Yes he was sleeping with her but who gets knocked up by a man she has only briefly dated?

She is achingly beautiful but only on the outside. She was always the mean girl of modeling (with help from Naomi Campbell, of course) I do find it interesting that she is only attracted to billionaires but I guess if they will put up with her to been seen with a pretty face so be it

  14. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Linda is a unique beauty, but that cover isn’t good. It doesn’t really look like her imo.

  15. Decloo says:

I believe it was “I don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day”.
