US Weekly recently ran a story that sounds straight out of the National Enquirer, which has been running stories like this about Elin Nordegren, her ex Tiger Woods and Tiger’s new, very vocal squeeze, Lindsey Vonn, for weeks. Apparently Elin was upset that Lindsey and Tiger were doing plenty of happy family photo ops with Elin’s kids. In fact The Enquirer claimed in late May that Elin was considering getting an injunction to block her children from being “exposed to any publicity, especially when he’s with one of his girlfriends.”
Well US takes it a little further, and basically claims that Elin is enraged at the situation, that Elin “hates” Lindsey and is similarly angry at Tiger.
If Elin Nordegren had her way, Tiger Woods wouldn’t get another swing at love. The golfer’s ex-wife, who divorced him 2010 after his epic cheating scandal, “hates Lindsey Vonn and everything about this romance,” a source tells Us Weekly. Woods, 37, and the blonde Olympic skier, 28, have been dating since last fall and went public back in March — with high-profile dates at NYC’s Met Gala in May and multiple excursions with Sam, 5, and Charlie, 4, Woods’ kids with Nordegren.
Swedish-born former model and nanny Nordegren, the source adds, is “angry Tiger even has visitation rights to the kids.” The stunning mother of two’s own romantic life post-scandal has been much more hush-hush: Although they’ve taken pains not to be photographed together, Nordegren was romantically linked to coal magnate Chris Cline — who lives near her $12 million beachside estate in North Palm Beach, Fla. — earlier this year.
What does Woods think about Nordegren’s anger? “He doesn’t care about her,” the source adds of his wife of six years. “He’s so egotistical!”
I don’t think Elin would “hate” Lindsey if she was just dating Tiger and trying to keep it on the down low. Lindsey and Tiger did a photoshoot together announcing their romance, they are regularly seen out with Tiger’s kids (and Tiger suspiciously wasn’t getting papped prior to dating her), and Lindsey does interviews gushing about Tiger and their relationship. Elin is just annoyed that her kids are being dragged into this. Plus she was with Tiger for years and has two kids with him and they never sought publicity like Lindsey and Tiger are doing.

it’s all for publicity, so I can’t say I blame Erin for not wanting her kids constantly photographed.
If I was Elin, I’d be pissed. One, I wouldn’t want my kids lapped on the daily like they have been and two, I wouldn’t want anyone around my kid that wasn’t going to be staying. The fact that Tiger can’t keep it in his pants, the fact that he and Vonn haven’t been together all that long and the fact she’s already playing “mum” to her kids? I’d be damn pissed.
with his track record, nothing good can come from them meeting all of his girls. plus using them as props when they are “accidentally” photographed would piss me off too.
I agree with Elin. To use the kids as a photo op with the new girlfriend would enrage me. This is a guy who, I don’t think has any integrity at all. Elin was cheated on in the most public of way, I don’t know if he ever felt bad about it. Then to flaunt the new girlfriend and give the world the impression that this is a happy family would drive me nuts! Lindsay needs to get her head out of her ass. She isn’t special here. He will use her as well, He’s a narcissist. The world is all about him.
Team Elin all the way. When she and Tiger were married, you never saw pics of the kids except for golf tournaments, when it couldn’t be helped. I doubt that Elin is the jealous, miserable shrew that the National Enquirer paints her to be, but I’m sure she is annoyed at the kids being used as publicity pawns. I would be in her position!
Team Elin. I wouldn’t even blame her if she thought Vonn was a famewhoring, down market version of herself (Elin). Because Vonn is exactly that IMO. Apparently a great skier though ;).

Obviously Elin can’t have that big of a problem with it since I have seen numerous photos of her out and about with the kids. There are some in this very article!
I think she’s po’d that Tiger has gotten serious with Lindsey. They’ve been dating since early last fall and it wasn’t until recently we started seeing photos of the two at public events. It also wasn’t until recently that Lindsey was doing things with Tiger and the kids. I think things between them have gotten serious and I think Elin is jealous.
And why shouldn’t he have visitation with his kids? They’re his children!
I hope Elin’s not about to go into divorce-related malicious mother territory. Kids should come first during/after a divorce.

Well said, and I agree with every word.
Two or three months before Tiger and Lindsey took their ‘professional athlete’ friendship to another level, there were reports of Tiger and Elin out and about together, looking friendly and smiley and rumors that they were getting back together. I think Tiger may have tried to get back with Elin, but she probably thought (and I’m not saying she’d be entirely wrong) that he hadn’t quite earned the right yet to have her back.
I don’t think Elin saw this coming (and we must remember that this ‘is’ “US” magazine). She has been seriously dating someone and the kids have been around him. Why shouldn’t Tiger be able to do the same with someone he’s seriously dating?
Lindsey also isn’t one of Tiger’s ‘900-Babe’ girls, either. Much has been said about them bringing their relationship from ‘friend’ to ‘more than friends’ two months after her divorce was finalized, but she and her ex-husband began divorce proceeding back in 2011.

I think the difference between the two is that Elin isn’t the one picking up the phone when she gets papped with the kids; it is entirely accidental when that happens.
This bs between Tiger & Lindsey is a total PR/ management team wet dream, nothing authentic about it at all. If T & L want to announce their fauxmance with a 1986-style Sears portrait, I have no problem with that (other than sniggering at the trashiness of their announcement). But no es bueno dragging the kids into all of that fakery and getting them papped for their respectively flagging career’s sake.
Slightly OT, but I have met the very unappealing and distasteful Lindsey Vonn in Vail in years past. Condensed story, she was rude, snippy and inappropriately all over two guys on the slopes when we met her. Flash forward to the next evening, she’s drunkenly loud and publicly fondling yet another dude at the bar at Kelly Liken’s. I was stunned when I heard the news that this hot mess of a woman had surfed her way up (or down) the food chain to Tiger Woods. I would flip OUT if my ex ever exposed my kids to a woman like that. *shudders* No shame on Elin for hating that, at all.

Tiger was an awful man and husband to Elin, but don’t tell me that she married him for love. The cheating scandal only revealed to the general public who Tiger truly is, but it’s impossible that she did not know what he was really like.

I know he’s an enormous prick but he still provides for his kids – in every aspect. He doesn’t abuse them. If he chooses to show off with them more publicly now how can she stop them?
I respect the she’s in general more low-key but it’s not written in stone that his next GFs have to be that too.

elin shouldnt care about anything. she hit tge jackpot. in 6 years of marriage, she was pampered to her heart’s content, bought everything she could want, got 2 gorgeous children, went from nanny to millionaire, and endured a bit of cheating. cry me a river, elin. i’m so sick of people acting like she is a victim. a few years of cheating for millions- hmm, not too bad. people have it worse on this planet.
Don’t forget exposed to every STD in Los Vegas, publicly humiliated, practically forced to put her kids through a divorce. I think it’s a bit much to basically call her a prostitute and say she got paid for it all so why was it wrong.

There has been no direct word from Elin, this is all heresay. Elin has kept mum since so many of Tiger’s women exposed him and his proclivities. This sounds like the press trying to get a rise out of her.
Whatever…… the media always tries to start these types of rivalries between women.
I doubt Elin cares. Afterall, she had her children around her boyfriends, so I doubt she minds this. She’s got no choice, really. Elin got her reported 100 million dollar settlement and she is getting child support as well. So she could care less. It seems to me that Lindsey is now trying to get her cut of that paycheck, lol. I doubt he will marry her, but they will have a child, and thus Lindsey gets her check.

God, I am so damn sick of people calling her a “gold digger.” Why has she earned this distinction in your eyes? Just because her husband was wealthy? So by your calculation, any person on the planet who marries someone outside their own economic status is automatically a gold digger. That’s beyond ridiculous. It’s been well documented that he actively pursued HER, not the other way around, and that she was initially very reluctant to even go out with him. Then after they’re married, she only devotes her life to her husband and children, and supports his golf career by showing up to events, but never talking to the media or giving interviews. Yeah, that sounds like someone who was only looking for a payout. Ridiculous.
