The ending to SATC the first movie was horrible. The writer has always potrayed Carrie to be a strong independent woman. He truly did a disservice to the character of Carrie from the series. I so hope that they will give Charolotte a more meaningful role. She brought nothing to the movie. Michael Patrick King and SJP bring back the fun characters that we use to know. Have Big cheat on Carrie so she will divorce him. I hope that Carrie finally wakes up and smell the coffee so to speak and divorces Big. The ending to SATC the first movie was horrible. If the movie makes money, she & the writers should split the majority of the money. If you have a problem with the plotlines and character development, I can agree with you there. But SJP manages uniquely to combine allure and glorious comic acting -- a very rare thing. What passes for comediennes generally these days is skinny pratfalls. Her grimaces, her irony & sarcasm -- priceless! Back to the plotlines, though, I hope the writers take their cues from the headlines & have Mr. Big experiencing a major financial setback that has them really making it work as people without the 5th Avenue claptrap and designer name-dropping. Style-wise, it would mean Carrie getting back to her inspired wardrobe riffs of vintage & street style, instead of the dopey gowns of later years. SJP is Sex & the City.
