Honestly, I don’t know how anyone could go with only washing their hair around 3 times a month! Even if I skip a day of washing mine, I feel gross and like I need to wash it lol. I wash mine everyday even though it’s apparently bad for your hair… my hair seems to be in good condition despite washing it everyday so i think that’s a myth! LOL. I workout everyday though so I think that would be especially gross if I didn’t wash my hair….. sick.

Shampoo contains harsh surfactants which rip at the delicate hair shaft. I have very fine blonde hair which tears easily and have looked at many sites which aid in ditching shampoo. It’s called “the no poo movement” — no joke!

One of the best ideas I’ve seen on those sites is rinsing with water while stroking the hair in a downward motion to spread the hair oil farther down the shaft from the scalp. Works really well. I rinse my hair every day, stroking downward, and actually wash it 2x a month or so. Hate to have something in common with trout pout Simpson!

God, I understand not washing one’s hair every day, but weaves/extensions begin to smell rank after not washing them for a while, and the scent is permanent.
Cosmo had an article on how to go from gym to fancy office party without showering. All I could think was that if I’m going to the gym, I’m sweating, and if you sweat, you smell. The idea is just against basic personal care in general. Even if one isn’t shampooing every day, at least have the decency to jump in the shower for 30 seconds.
As for me, I have coarse shoulder-length hair with fringe. I wash/condition every other day, and just rinse it with cold water on the off-days to get any product residue out of my hair. If I didn’t do that, my hair would get matted and tangled very easily. I’m a naturally dark redhead so dry shampoos just make it look like I have powder in my hair. I hate to admit it, but I do use L’Oreal Kids detangling spray in the afternoons to keep my hair from going too limp.
Oh, and CB Rawks: I bought that Wen stuff a few years ago, and I hated it. It doesn’t even feel like hair conditioner, it kind of feels like that oily stuff they use on kids who have lice. It left my hair feeling so gross I couldn’t stand it. It seems like such a waste of money.

Don’t you mean washes her “extensions” only once or twice a month? It’s not like this lazy ass works up a smelly sweat doing any “real” work. She probably uses one of those fancy dry shampoos or just conditions a little everyday. You dont need to shampoo everyday when you dont do much.

I used to know a girl in my highschool who was a professional hair model. She could only wash it once a month, when at her hairdressers. I don’t think Simpson’s situation is uncommon.

Between the frizzled greaseball on her head, the vulgarly plumped lips, and a weak attempt to hide an extra 15lbs in black – homegirl isn’t looking so hot.

I’ll add this into the fray; My hair is short, straight, thick and dry. I generally only shampoo after a particularly hard day at the gym or before a nice occasion, otherwise I just condition every other day. My secret is when I get out of the shower, I towel-dry rather than blow-dry. (Between my dry hair and the high altitude, I really notice a difference.)
