Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge are the new “faces” of Burberry. Burberry has been doing this for a while – they trade up their celebrity faces nearly every season, and usually it’s someone with more celebrity name-recognition than actual career acclaim. Sienna and Tom are a real-life couple, and parents to daughter Marlowe Sturridge. So, they obviously look very coupled-up in the ad campaign. For me, Tom is kind of a blank slate – I don’t know much about him other than he’s seriously pretty and trying to hide the pretty behind awful hair (and sometimes awful facial hair) and I also know he’s tight with Robert Pattinson. That’s it. That’s all I know about him. Which should make him a perfect blank slate for advertisers, but I’m not into how he looks here.
As for Sienna… I once thought she was incredibly pretty. But she’s a smoker and she loves to party and she loves to sunbathe topless with married lovers. Which means that she’s sort of lost her youthful “cuteness”. And the awful hair style isn’t helping at all. I think Sienna is trying to put herself out there as “the new and improved Sienna, now with motherhood” and this new version is less likely to want media attention. But then she poses with her lover and baby-daddy for an ad campaign…? It doesn’t make much sense.
The ad campaign was done by Mario Testino, and it’s called “Trench Kisses”. The director of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, said that: “This was a shoot full of love and laughter. It was such a treat to work with Sienna and Tom, and to capture their magic together.” The commercial is a lot cuter than the still photos:

Iam not a fan of Sienna Miller. She is overrated but at least she looks good in fashion magazines. Her boyfriend on the other hand, is soooo ugly. Burberry ruden what could have been a great ad. He looks dirty and disgusting. That’s suppossed to be sexy?
I don’t think Tom Sturridge is sooo ugly — he’s a total pretty boy, prettier than most girls!
Tom is a pretty boy. Too pretty. Which I guess is why he has these weird hair cuts and ugly clothes, because he wants to be a serious actor not known for his good looks.
I personally think he should just embrace his looks. His haircuts and bad style are not A list material, and in the end, everything helps you get better roles. He kicked butt on Broadway. We need to see him in more movies. I’ve always thought that he needed to play his cards better, because he could even get better work than Rob. He’s a much better actor.

It’s all personal taste. I agree. I find him incredibly odd looking. The kissing photo is cringeworthy…it doesn’t make me want to buy the trench or the handbag. Isn’t that the point of ads??
Tom is “pretty” but not attractive, IMO. When I first saw him, I was like “ooh” but now I am just like “meh”. He looks a bit douchy. What is their age difference? He looks so young and she seems like a middle aged woman. I know she’s not, but it seems like she has been semi-famous for such a long time.
I think she is very pretty, but I haven’t liked her since her topless days on a boat with a (still married and father of four) Balthazar Getty.

Possibly. Getty’s wife has a lot of powerful hollywood friends and is very well connected. Sienna f*cked the wrong dude. I think if Sienna’s career has gone no where since; this also has a lot to do with it. She was black balled.
She was just in Anna’s box at Wimbledon with Tom Stu either last year or the year before. So Getty wasn’t a problem for Anna.
They weren’t sharing a box, she was sitting in front of them in the stands.

She’s a walking billboard most of the time. The irony is she would never carry this bag. It’s either her Balenciaga first, or more recently, Stella McCartney. Burberry should pay her to actually use the stuff. I mean, even Gwynnie deigned to carry a Coach!!!!

Well, for one, Tom got Tony nomination and he has a bunch of smaller awards for theatre in the UK. And he was a mastermind behind the co-alliance of him, Pattz , Eddie Redmayne and Andrew Garfield in Hollywood. He is a very cool guy, very popular in the actor’s crowd. Pattz is more like his attachment although they have been best friends since 6th grade.
