Sigh… I miss The Closer. Here are some new photos of Brenda Leigh Johnson Kyra Sedgwick, courtesy of her husband. Kevin Bacon has a WhoSay page! I didn’t know that. So, apparently Kyra Sedgwick accidentally chopped off her fingertip over the weekend and Kevin decided to post some before-and-after photos of what happened. The header photo is after Kyra chopped off part of her index finger but before she got it stitched up, I guess. Kevin posted the photo with the comment, “@kyrasedgwick in the ER. Kale isn’t ALLWAYS HEALTHY… if you chop the end of your finger off”.
Here’s the after shot. Kevin wrote, “My Baby is fine. All good. Still can’t find the tip of that finger @kyrasedgwick”. GROSS! Kyra has a nub-finger.
That’s an enormous cast/bandage. I wonder how much of her finger was lost? From the look of the first photo, I really think it was just a small part. Like, I doubt she cut down to the first joint or anything. JUST THE TIP! Sorry. At least she lost a tip doing something she loved, eating healthy. If I’m going to lose part of my finger, I want to have a great story to go with it, you know? Not “and then I was chopping kale”. I want the story to end with “and then I accidentally shot off part of my finger when I decided to confront a rapist…” And I’m sorry, but it’s really gross that they can’t find the tip. If Kevin had found the tip, kept it on ice and brought it to the hospital, they might have been able to save it!
Anyway, yeah… does anyone else really miss The Closer? I don’t hate Major Crimes at all, I just think they haven’t worked out all the kinks yet. The format still needs some work. The Closer was the best, though. God, I miss that show. As for Kevin’s show, The Following… I am not going to hate-watch that anymore. That show is so awful, I barely have words. And it’s not Kevin’s fault, it’s just a horribly written show.

You can still cook just buy pre chopped vegetables in your grocer’s produce section like I do 🙂

I know, they are so adorable. I just love them. She is awesome and he is awesome. If I had to have any Hollywood couple as parents it would be them.

I have chopped my poor fingers plenty, but have not lost any yet. My problem is burns. I always have a burn somewhere on my arm or hand. Friends look for them when they see me (“Do you not see the rack in the oven, j?”)
Yeeesh, for a second I though this was another celeb-break-up-story. Phew.

I like The Following, but after a great start the writers really went nuts. Such bad writing! They just killed all the females, Ugh! And Kevin Bacon is brilliant in it, such a shame that they messed it up.
Yeah, they really messed up the show. Kevin is right about the show being misogynistic. Pretty much all the violence is against women (however as DH pointed out, that is true in real life as well)and the women act beyond dumb in that show. You’re an FBI agent for crying out loud, PUT YOUR HAIR UP.
I miss The Closer too, but I’m really starting to like Major Crimes.
Agree, the Closer was SO good Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh ‘thank you so much’ Johnson was one fierce bitch! Flawed but fierce. I love strong female characters and Sedgwick really did produce great work on that show.
She and Bacon make one of the best Hollywood couples ever. They are so cute.

MC is not that bad, but I need more Flynn and Provenza, and most of all they must cancel the stupid new DA character.

I loved the Closer. I like Krya and Kevin, they seem down-to-earth. although I would have freaked out if I cut off the tip of my finger.

The tip of my finger got bit off by Henry Cavill when he discovered that Fassy had stayed over for a sleepover. The tip hasn’t been recovered yet, but it’s rumored to be in a dumpster in the Big Bang Theory parking lot.

I miss the closer too. Can’t get into MC. Rader is no Brenda- she’s too goody goody. It’s like when the new Superman tried to go dark like Batman- doesn’t work the same way.
