Comic-Con photos: ScarJo, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie & Ian Somerhalder

These are just some assorted photos from Comic-Con –we don’t have photos from every panel, unfortunately, but we do have some decent pics from some of the panels. I’m starting off with some photos from the panel for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Scarlett Johansson is featured heavily in the film, and Anthony Mackie is playing a major character too. A trailer for the film was shown at Comic-Con, but I can’t find it online so I guess it’s not for wide release yet.

From the Entertainment Weekly party at Comic-Con – Joe Manganiello and Ian Somerhalder. Blah. Joe’s hair looks better.

Lee Pace, Chris Pratt, Benicio del Toro and Karen Gillan from the Guardians of the Galaxy panel. God, Lee Pace is looking really good these days, right?

Shailene Woodly & Theo James from Divergent. He has a weird face, right?

Hugh Jackman promoting Wolverine.

Peter Dinklage going into the Game of Thrones panel. Jason Momoa surprised Emilia Clarke during the panel, running on stage to kiss her. Emilia was truly surprised and she exclaimed “My sun and stars!” They also showed this “In memoriam” piece.

  1. Tony says:

    ScarJo looks HOT!

DEAR LORD. I would completely RAVAGE her.

    • Andrew says:

She normally looks to try hard for me and too ‘sexified’ but I love her here! She needs to dress and do her face/hair like this more often. She just looks more ‘normal’.

    • Vesta says:

      @Tony

Maybe you really could. She’s not with Johnny Depp you know.

      (Not serious)

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

@Tony-aren’t you the same troll that was whining on a different thread about how women only care about looks and not personality?

  2. T.fanty says:

The Gillan/Del Toro picture is priceless.

    • Spooks says:

Karen is so beautiful, but she needs hair. She does not look god bald. Unlike, say, Jessie J who looks much better with super short hair.

  3. Anna says:

I think ScarJo looks FANTASTIC. Love hair, face, dress.

For some reason I am digging JoeMang in here…and Jackman, always Jackman.

  4. lady mary. says:

aww ,imiss my sun and stars on GOT 2,wish they would find excuses to bring khal drog back ,love jason mamoa

  5. Diana says:

    Jackman, Jackman, Jackman… UNF

  6. Stacie says:

I just finished reading Insurgent (2nd book of the Divergent series) and am completely in love with Theo James at the moment. What a man!

    • blue marie says:

I can see Theo as Four (although it’s not who I pictured, but meh, whatever) but I can’t get behind Woodley as Tris. I hope she proves me wrong and nails it but I’ll have to wait and see..

Joe Manganono should have kept his hair longer. Lee Pace freaks me out a bit and Anthony Mackie has one of the nicest smiles. Scarlett looks good, that’s fake hair though, right?

      • Stacie says:

Yeah, she doesn’t physically match the description of Tris, but then again neither did Jennifer with Katniss. I’m just hoping that through her acting she can really capture Tris. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…I need to see a trailer soon!

  7. Mia 4S says:

Good Lord do I ever find Del Toro ugly. Talented I know but…damn.

Jackman is lovely as always but Dinklage rules all these losers, let’s be honest. 😉

  8. Gabby says:

Hope to see more GoT comiccon pics! Like kit Harington and Richard madden…. Yum!

  9. Miss M says:

Chris Evans looks relaxed,Chris Pratt is really handsome and ScarJo looks fantastic!

    ps: Jackman …no surprises here

    • Eve says:

*sigh*…my former CB-husband looks SOOOOOOOOOOO good.

Loathe Chris Pratt though — no, I’ll never get over the fact he gave his wife’s cat away on Twitter (a 20-year-old cat that needed special care), offering it to anyone who would take it. And when confronted by people for his shitty attitude, he snapped at them with some really disgusting remarks (calling them weirdos, that if they “didn’t have kids that would explain why they had such a hard-on for cats”).

Being the cat loving person that I am (meaning, it’s a very personal matter to me, so don’t even bother trying to excuse his behaviour or calling me pejorative names like “crazy cat lady”) — this pissed me off because there’s one thing I’ve seen during my entire life that has always broken my heart: seeing people abandoning their pets for the smallest inconvenient and then using some lousy excuse for it (I had pregnant veterinarians treating my cats, so his excuse was bullshit, in my opinion).

I can only hope the cat went to a nice, loving family who managed to give it, during his final days/weeks/months the love it deserved. But there’s no way I can be sure about that.

By the way, the cat played Snowbell in “Stuart Little”.

P.S.: Sorry for the rant, but every time I see this asshole’s face, I get so angry I think I might burst into flames. I’m a huge Marvel fan, but “Guardians of the Galaxy” might be the one Marvel movie I’m NOT going to watch — I really don’t want to support and help making this prick a household name.

P.P.S.: I’d have been terribly upset had it been a dog, too. But my experience has shown me that happens a way more with cats.

      • antisocial says:

Eve I just cannot adequately express how much I agree with you on all points!!!!! Warms my heart to know that I am not alone, that there are others as “crazy” as myself devoting time, love and resources to the voiceless souls who (in my experience) are more worthy of the attention than most people. My heart breaks for eldercare of all creatures in this country, but especially so for those whom there are no laws to protect <3

      • Anna says:

I am not a cat person but I totally agree with every word, 100%. People who are cruel to animals are cruel to other people to. Or eventually will be.

      • Tiffany27 says:

        *Double sigh*
Chris does look really good here, but I can’t go back. And holy crap Pratt is an a**hole!! I always got a vibe he was one. He has a very douchey face!
ETA: I adopted my dog from a shelter because someone abandoned her on the side of the road. So once again, Chris Pratt can just f*ck right off.

      • V4Real says:

I remember that post Eve. I liked Pratt but that kinda turned me off as well. He was an ass for the way he handled the giving away of his cat.

Chris Evans and Hugh looks good. I feel like such a geek;can’t wait for these movies. I still adore Evans even though he’s still with that talentless actress. Break the _uck up already geez. Sorry don’t know where that came from.

      • Eve says:

Thank you all. I don’t want to comment on this anymore — I don’t want to highjack the thread and, more importantly, I don’t want it become the major clusterf*ck that the other thredt (where I first mentioned that story) turned into.

There was also a troll who was hellbeant on mocking both me and TheOriginalKitten (even posting things like “oh, boo hoo” in response to us).

In his defense though, he apparently found a nice home for the cat (but those were his words, and I’m not sure I believe him so I can only hope he was telling the truth).

This article explains it a little better — and anyone can side with the likes of me (or with those who disagree with us):

        http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/05/chris-pratt-gives-his-cat-for-adoption_n_996814.html

      • mom2two says:

I completely FORGOT about this! Shame on you Chris, shame on you!

What galls me is that he and Anna have enough money to care for that cat. I only hope that kitty has a good home now.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Thank you, Eve! There was a Pratt post in the links a few weeks ago and everybody was gushing about how “great” and how “hot” he is.

I tried to tell people that he was a d*ckbag but nobody would listen.

        ITA with everything you said.

      • Eve says:

Few corrections: I meant “I don’t want IT to become”, “thread” (not thredt) and hell-bent (not hellbeant).

        @ Kitten:

I saw that — even the post that said he was a decent man, and that what he had said wasn’t any different than many other decent cat-disliking guys she knew said. Decent people sometimes HAVE TO give their pets away — I understand and accept that, but the way he did it and his reaction at the backlash? Not the one from a decent person, not in the slightest.

I was also baffled by the people finding that “duck-face” selfie not that bad. That was very jersey-shore-like, if you ask me.

      • sirsnarksalot says:

Chris Pratt never hit my radar before but now that I know this about him, I officially hate him. I have a kitty who was abandoned in a heatwave and very nearly died before he was rescued and later adopted by me. He still shows signs of PTSD when I leave the house sometimes which breaks my heart. People who hurt animals or children have no place on this planet.

      • Miss M says:

*Whispers, so TheOriginalKitten won’t hear it*: My lover is looking good indeed!

I had no idea about this whole mess with Chris Pratt, :/

ps: Talking about Pets, I miss our pet troll Jake…

      • Eve says:

        @ Sirsnarksalot:

Just a clarification: he didn’t technically abandoned the cat to fend for itself — he offered it on Twitter (at one point, he even offered it to Amanda Knox), then deleted the tweet.

He claimed to have found a nice home for the cat, and I hope he’s telling the truth.

But he did handle the whole situation poorly, in my opinion. Dude clearly doesn’t like cats, and used the go-to excuse (“we’re having a baby”) to get rid of the cat.

So, in a way, Snowbell has been abandoned (or given away) twice: first by the industry/whoever took care of it for the movies (when it was no longer a young, cute cat), then by the woman (Anna Faris) who had given it a second chance.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

EXACTLY, Eve. It was the way he did it that bothered me the most.
Then when animal-lovers showed concern, his angry retort was “I cannot have a cat shitting all over my house” and basically telling everyone who cared about the cat to f*ck off.

He’s a jerk and the selfie was cheesy as hell.

@Miss M-I don’t like CE’s hair like that..I like his with really short hair.

      • sirsnarksalot says:

I hear you about him not actually abandoning his cat, but I still consider it close to as bad to allow an animal to bond with you and then get rid of it. I’m hoping it has found its way to a loving home and its new owner is awesome. I just think that with a living creature, when you adopt them it should be a pledge to be with them for life. And too many people suddenly think that once it becomes inconvenient they can just discard it or give it away.

      • Eve says:

        @ Sirsnarksalot:

Yes, I agree with you. I also dislike Faris for letting that happen — I think she’s just as bad as he is (if not worse).

    • spiderkitty says:

      Both Chris looks soooo handsome

    • Mia 4S says:

Well for those who don’t know in the UK a “prat” is slang for a major idiot. Sounds like the name fits in this case!

Evans looks…thick…not in a physical sense. 🙂 I can’t help it, he seems nice but comes across as such a doofus he does nothing for me.

      • Eve says:

Oh, on that note, here’s how he responded to the people who told him what his name meant in England:

“I don’t like being told that I should be “put on an ice floe when I get old and incontinent. Shitbird” or being called a “douche” or told that “prat=as*hole in england. looks like the shoe fits!” I know that already! Not to brag but I’ve been to England. “Pratt hey? Did you know that means Arsehole in the UK?” “Yes I did Prince William. Thank you for asking.” (it should be noted that I’ve never met Prince William, nor did he ever call me an arsehole) I am not an arsehole.”

    • MissM says:

The interesting (or maybe not) thing, is the director of the Guardians movie Chris is starring in is a *huge* animal lover. A few years ago he adopted a stray cat and was also looking for a home for her because he’s allergic, but then he fell in love with her and ended up keeping her. He posts pics of her to Facebook all the time. James Gunn, straighten Chris Pratt out!

  10. Dawn says:

Well I am a Chris Pratt fan! So I think he is looking as cute as ever! I love ScarJO’s dress..it’s so sixties. I’d really like to go to this one day, it looks like a lot of fun.

  11. Vesta says:

    JOE MANGANIELLO

I see just him and only him.
    Was there someone else too?

  12. INeedANap says:

Is Karen Gillan bald for the film, or did she just shave it off to be cool in the summer?

  13. Lucy2 says:

I love Chris Pratt from Parks & Rec, but agree he handled the cat situation poorly.
WTF is going on w Lee Pace’s hair?
Thank goodness Joe M cut his, it’s looking ridiculous on True Blood. I’m hoping the cut is a sign Alcide won’t be back.
    Anthony Mackie!

    • Algernon says:

I’m pretty sure Lee Pace’s hair is for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy. Everyone who played a villain had weird hair, except Amy Pond, who had none, and Benecio del Toro, who probably can’t be made to cut his hair for anything.

  14. Tig says:

I love Lee Pace, and sure hope the hair is for the movie! Hugh Jackman is perfection. Can’t believe no Ian stans yet- so over that show!

  15. Jenna says:

Aww, it’s Captain Sexy! *licks lips* Nope, don’t miss that at all.

    • Eve says:

This one is for you (because I love you and, let’s be realistic, because I want to keep you in my army during the Cumberbatch battles):

      http://www.pajiba.com/trade_news/biz-break-comic-con-is-over-so-meow-what-do-we-talk-about-justice.php

      • Jenna says:

*clutches heart and dies only to revive* I can’t with that man’s sexy!!! Can not!!! My heart!!! Dammit, Eve! You’re so good to me and yet so bad! *dies again*

      • Miss M says:

@Jenna: awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, our CB man looks so handsome, doesn’t he?! 🙂

      • Jenna says:

Ex-squeeze me?!?! “OUR” CB Man?!?! Of whom do you speak?!?! It better be Capt. Sexy b/c I don’t lend out Karl. -_-

      • Miss M says:

@Jenna: Of course is Karl! I share Chris Evans with TOKitten when he has very short hair.

I won’t share Karl with you, if you promise not to get close to Hunnam, 🙂

      • Jenna says:

Oh helllllls to the nah! *takes off earrings* Karl is mine, and mine alone! *gets battle gear out* You can have Hunnam (I only thought he was cute as Jax in the fourth season with his shorter hair), but Karl?!?! Huh, nope. *locks onto your coordinates* No. -_-

  16. kisa says:

Scarlett is Glowing! Not digging Chris Evans as Captain anymore. He is getting too skinny, god remember him in push, yumm! But his hair plugs do look better.

  17. Stubbylove says:

THE DINKLAGE! Love it all. Missing some pics of The Vikings Cast – need to see Travis Fimmel!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Buckwild says:

I love the little bit between Jason and Emilia – Khal Drogo!!

  19. Bianca says:

NO! Karen Gillan shaved her head? I hope it grows back fast, her ginger mane was my hair p0rn

  20. ladybug says:

Every time I see ScarJo with Chris Evans, I think of The Perfect Score and Nanny Diaries.

    • Bijlee says:

      Honestly…I love Nanny Diaries.

      • ladybug says:

Me too! Adorable movie and their chemistry was great in it. I know he’s with Minka and she’s with that Romain Duriac guy, but they would really make a cute couple.

  21. Catie says:

Could have left off the snarky comment about Ian Somerhalder’s hair. Was it REALLY necessary?
I’ve known him since he was born, and he is the probably the kindest, most giving person, let along celebrity, I know of…and that’s really ‘saying’ a lot.

    • Indira says:

Can you elaborate? It’s always nice to hear good things about Ian. He strikes me a real people person, not to mention animal person!
