Here are some photos from last night’s NYC premiere of The Butler, which is increasingly looking like the biggest hot mess movie of the year. Oprah Winfrey decided to stunt-queen the premiere with a gigantic hair style. Is this a wig? It’s a wig, right? Oprah wore a similar wig for the new issue of O Magazine too – go here to see. Is it weird that I actually think Oprah looks pretty good with this wig? Plus, I really like her Theia dress too. She looks pretty. Also: it’s nice to see Steadman walk the carpet with her.

All of these women look fab. The best Mariah looked in years. I thought Shirley Jones look great for an 80 year old.. but Cicely Tyson takes the award. I can’t believe she turns 80 this year.

Forest went on a diet to lose weight, for his health. Perhaps his wife went on the diet with him for encouragement. It’s really too easy to accuse someone you only see a photograph of of being a druggie. Learn the background before you speak.
I knew he was dieting but here they look ill. No disrespect to either of them. Perhaps they are vegan?
How is someone going to know the background if they can’t ask an innocent enough question. He appears deflated and she is cringe-worthy skinny.

Sidebar: I made my husband watch like 20 mins of her Butterfly jewelry collection premiere on HSN because I knew it would be comedy gold. 30 seconds in he’s terrified, says “this is the kind of woman who builds a hello kitty dream house” and we start counting how many times she pets her own hair like its a lapdog strapped to her head. He gave up after 60. Now whenever he sees her he just says “over 60 times baby! 60 times!” And it amuses me to no end.
How long do people with dislocated shoulders usually wear a sling? Seems like she’s had her arm in a sling forever now.

Jane looks hot body wise.. but she is totally overdoing it in the face. But damn I would hurt someone for that body type. I know I can buy it; but I need to have a place to sleep and I like that.
I agree about Jane. She is starting to not look like herself anymore, and that makes me sad. Her autobiography is one of the best I have ever read, and she talks a lot about self-love and acceptance, which is especially sad, as these bad surgeries happened after. I wish Jane would take her own good advice.
I hope she’s haunted by all the American POWs she ratted out to their Vietnamese captors. Evil hag.

Thank you, I agree. Oprah has thick, long hair that she’s shown in its natural state more than once on her show and in her magazine. I remember when Chris Rock was on her show promoting “Good Hair,” and he was shocked to learn that she had so much hair. She wears wigs sometimes but she’s always had thick, luscious hair I’d give my eyeteeth for.
I think so, too. Her natural hair is gorgeous. I mean, she has the best of everything to take care of it. She has blessed follicular emissaries wash her hair in angel tears and groom it with combs made of unicorn ivory while luxuriating on her mountain in Maui!

I think it’s fun that everyone looks great in their own way, which somehow goes with summer to me, loosen up, be happy. But I don’t love Minka’s dress.
I believe that is Oprah’s real hair. Her hair is quite long and her hairdresser loves to play with it. However, that is a wig on the O cover. I think Oprah looks good; I like the dress and Stedman.

I agree, it’s her real hair. The cover was a wig or Photoshop, for sure, but this is her natural hair. She loves to talk about it.

Jane Fonda is beginning to look like Joan Collins. She’s either lost some weight unnecessarily, and I think it’s making her facial work show up more drastically, or her new face-lift is pulled too tight around the cheekbones and jawline. Her face was prettier a bit rounder (see Monster-In-Law).

Stedman Graham looks devine, he has not aged in 20 years. Apart from his hair getting whiter he really looks the same. Men are so lucky, most of them just get better with age.

Andre Leon Talley looks awful in that yellow graduation gown – it’s very unflattering and just calls attention to what he is trying to hide. I feel kind of bad for the guy. I remember reading an article years ago (likely in Vogue) where he lost a bunch of weight and said that the reason he wore the huge billowing mumus before was to hide his body because he felt so bad about himself. He’s obviously gained all of the weight back if he is wearing mumus again :(.
Andre Leon Talley is not trying to hide anything. He never has. He is proudly fat and proudly gay and proudly a fashionista . . . at least in his own mind. I don’t remember that he has ever lost weight because if he did, I missed it. He has always worn these ugly, billowing, horrible caftans and has said he used to buy them in Morocco but now someone makes them for him. Personally, I think he is one of the ugliest men I’ve ever seen and he looks even uglier and more horrendous in person. The man is well over 6’6″ and must weigh 350. He is one scary dude.
In the article I read, Andre said that he would portray himself as confident to the world but inside he felt miserable with himself. That is why he chose to lose weight. This was around ten years ago. I feel bad for the poor man, he will have serious health problems one day. But that doesn’t mean anyone should be calling him hideous, because he is not.
I love her dress and I love the *idea* of her hair, but, any do that makes you want to take hedge clippers to it needs some editing.
