God, remember when I used to write about Kate Bosworth on a regular basis? That was a few years ago, when she was banging Alexander Skarsgard and she wanted everyone to know that she was banging him. Since The Bos and Alex split up, she’s been with Michael Polish. There actually might have been some overlap between those relationships, because two seconds after Kate and Alex were done, she was making photo-ops with Michael. Anyway, Michael and Kate got engaged months ago and they seem to have a very close, almost creepy relationship. Some say he’s controlling. Some say she’s still in charge. I don’t know. But there is this interesting little item in Page Six today:
Kate Bosworth is finally going to tie the knot this month. The actress and fashion plate is getting married to director Michael Polish in a “country- style wedding” at the end of the month. Sources tell us photos from the ceremony will also be featured in “Martha Stewart Weddings.” (Blake Lively did the same with her wedding to Ryan Reynolds.) Bosworth and Polish had been dating since 2011, but Polish put a ring on it last September, and she posted a picture of the ring on Twitter.
Haha, The Bos thinks she’s Blake Lively. The Bos could have been Blake Lively if Bosworth had better game, I think. Neither woman will ever be known for their acting talents, so both women have “side projects” that sustain them. Blake just has better side projects. Anyway, I will actually look forward to seeing photos from Kate and Michael’s wedding. I’m actually curious to see what her wedding dress will look like and whether there will actually be food at the wedding.
You know who else is getting married at the end of the month? Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo. Do you think those two couples will get married on the same day?

Ngl, I wanna see her dress. She may be an attention whoring, emaciated body, drama queen, but she usually dresses cute.
I’m guessing it’s going to be something bohemian. It won’t be classic. She’s never classic because she thinks she’s too good for classic (when, in fact. that’s exactly what she’s best suited for because she LOOKS classic and you’d think she would work with her strengths). Remember Blue Crush when Kate Bosworth was fun and had a great, athletic body? Hollywood really is disgusting.
I was about to type something similar to this. I was really into surfing around the time Blue Crush comes out, so I cringe every time I see pictures of her now. Her body was fantastic in that movie. All that famewhoring takes it toll I guess.
I read that she had to work out for hours a day to get like that though. So I think that this is closer to what she normally is, although I wouldn’t put it past her to want to be a tiny bit thinner, seeing as how she’s a Fashion Girl or something.
I’m not sure how hard it was or how long it took to achieve the Blue Crush body (which really was great), but I also think of how she looked in Remember the Titans. She was at a healthy-looking size in that movie. And I doubt she was required to gain weight for the role, which makes me think that period was more reflective of her natural weight than the Blue Crush phase or the pictures above.
So basically: Yeah, I’m thinking Hollywood screwed her up.

I don’t have a problem with her not keeping that look, it’s a lot to keep up with. But she looked healthy before Blue Crush, starting around 2005, she did not. I don’t think she’s anorexic, but I do think she’s underweight-she’s looking more like the fashion world and hollywood norm now.
I have read some blind items that he has Bosworth practicing and reciting lines while starving herself for 3 days and staying up for hours at a time. That is very creepy.

She couldn’t get Skarsgard wrapped around her finger, because no one gets Skarsgard wrapped around their finger. No one controls/owns that man. But Bos sure tried, with her pitiful act and her needing-a-strong-man-to-take-care-of-her because she’s so fragile and damaged act. It worked for about the first 6 months, I think. The other 6 months was him trying to be merciful while shaking her loose. But she got this loser Polish right where she wants a man.

Because they probably wouldn’t have done it if they had to. They most likely did it out of respect for Martha and appreciation for the other people involved (who had no idea who’s wedding they were working on until the day of, according to the planner.)

Bosworth has had several boyfriends before Skarsgard. It would be weird for her to still be passive-aggressive against him and not the other ones.
She may be a bit of an airhead and a famewhore, but she has VERY good taste in clothes. I would say better than almost any other celebrity in Hollywood right now. So I am also curious how she will style her wedding. Much more curious than I was about Blake Lively’s wedding.

I was really disappointed in BL and RR’s wedding photos in Martha Stewart …hardly any after all that waiting. Everyone wants to see the bride’s gown and they didn’t even show that really. Disappointing. So not thrilled to hear MS is doing another celebrity spread.

The only reason why she was “everywhere” was because she was dating Orlando Bloom. This is probably why she got the lead in Superman Returns, which didn’t exactly help her career.
Pretty sure she got the lead mostly because of Kevin Spacey who she is (was?) very close with.

I like kate bosworth. Everyone on here hates her. She is always who I look to for what will be in style two years from now. Not all her clothes but yes most. I do think she’s skinny but if she put on ten pounds and got implants shed be what were used to seeing in Hollyweird and everyone would be like she’s hot! She wears minimal makeup does minimal to her hair doesn’t look like she’s tons of plastic. I think she has really pretty skin and a really pretty face. I’m really looking forward to her wedding pics. I’ve never minded Bozzie either. She’s done what she needed to do to stay somewhat relevant (slept with men who could keep her name out there). She’s always been good with fashion, her editorials are as appealing, if not better than Miranda Kerr’s, Cher Coulter styles her impeccably for the red carpet and she’s a favorite of several designers. She took on Goopy’s group and survived.
She may not be the brightest bulb “Great Danes are…..great!” but she does have a certain subtle, classy appeal.

I’m kind of over rustic country weddings. You know, the barn with chandeliers and chalkboard menus and stuff. It’s just been done and done and done. Heck, my brother and his wife did that in 1998.
As much as I like hippie boho stuff it just seems like a put on with these two. Not authentic or something. Coachella stopped being cool as soon as celebs started showing up, as in Kate Bosworth.But she is really pretty and can pull of her style, it’s just kind of poser-y.
Honest question: does Martha Stewart Weddings pay for photos the same was OK does? Because I always thought there were some mags (usually fashion and niche) that you posed for the honor of it. MS is right on the border that I can’t figure it out. But it’s not like their pics would be worth a fortune.
Also, those 2 make more sense together than her previous relationships. Bloom and Skars always seemed like a ‘reach’ for her, like she was WAY more into them than they were into her (and she does havea rep as a clinger) but now she’s got this guy who is happy to do all the PDA stuff and the Twitter declarations of love and all of that.
