I don’t expect many people to be interested in this, but I’m happy. I’ve been looking forward to the day when Michael Buble would become a father, mostly because I feel like his wife has been pregnant for two years now. Okay, fine, I love Michael Buble. SO DOES YOUR MOTHER. I’m not ashamed. I will always love a man with an amazing voice who cheerfully sings “Come Fly With Me” and “Feeling Good” (his version of “Feeling Good” is better than Nina Simone’s and yes, I totally just said that). Anyway, Michael and his wife Luisana welcomed their first child together yesterday, a little boy they’ve named Noah. Cute!
Michael Buble is a dad! The “Feeling Good” singer and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Aug. 27, the proud papa announced via Instagram.
“Overjoyed and filled with gratitude at the arrival of our son Noah Buble,” Buble captioned an adorable picture of the newborn and Lopilato. “Born this morning, August 27th at 2:26 am in Vancouver, Canada.”
Buble has been anticipating the baby’s birth for weeks now. He even canceled his Aug. 9 appearance on the Today show because of it. “Michael won’t be appearing on The Today Show this Friday due to the impending birth of his baby. Updates soon,” his official Twitter account stated.
“It’s a boy, and he’s due at any moment,” he later told the Associated Press. “Literally any moment. We’re close. She had a false alarm a couple days ago, and she had about seven hours of labor. So we know that it could happen at any time.”
Buble, 37, and Lopilato, 26, first announced they were expecting in January 2013 with a video message showing an ultrasound. “Mike, Lu and . . . mini Buble!” the text in the clip read at the time. “We’re having a baby Buble!”
The couple married in a small civil ceremony in Buenos Aires on March 31, 2011. Days later, they tied the knot again in front of 300 friends and family. A third wedding ceremony took place at Vancouver’s Pan Pacific Hotel in May 2011.
If he was canceling appearances on August 9th, that makes me think that Noah was really late in getting out into the world. Like, maybe two weeks overdue? At one point do doctors induce? Anyway, congrats to Luisana and Michael and little Noah. Yay!

Oh Kaiser I really can’t believe you said Michael Buble’s version was better than Nina Simone! Eeek! I liked him very much, but then he got onto Graham Norton a few months back and began to talk a little too candidly (about baby making and how hot his wife was), had a pitchy performance of whatever song it was, and generally seemed more douchey. Congrats to him anyway (given how much info he put out there about making babies first.)

If you’ve ever been in a restaurant or cafe, you know his music. I think every time a dining establishment (on either side of the pond) opens, the proprieters are given complimentary Michael Buble music libraries. And they play it ad nauseum.

I had a baby in Canada in March. They said I could go up to 10 days overdue before being induced
I’m so happy for them! He’s such a sweet & nice man. I’ve never heard one bad thing about him… His wife is so beautiful, as is their little Noah. Congrats to his lovely new family. I love the name Noah!

It can depend on the doc, but usually they induce at 10-14 days overdue. And there are some more ‘natural’ ways to induce like a foley catheter or membrane stripping (which is pretty painful) but a pitocin induction isnt the ideal and docs tend to prefer to wait on that if possible.
