And CA's drunk driving laws aren't anymore lax then most other states. After losing someone to a drunk/high driver I think they need to be changed, but as there is no (public) confirmation that he was actually intoxicated (one or twin drinks does not necessarily make you intoxicated folks)this is a reasonable sentence. Just watch and see what happens if he screws up though. They never did any other tests on him, blood or anything so they don’t know for sure that he was drunk, it’s what they think.
