These are some assorted photos from the weekend in NY Fashion Week. I always forget how crazy it gets around this time, with overlapping film festivals (Deauville, TIFF and Venice) plus NYFW, plus regular fall gossip, plus the start of Oscar gossip. Plus we have the Emmys coming up soon too. Anyway, that’s my excuse for sort of half-assing this. I just plucked some photos of the biggest names, celebrities I thought you’d want to see out about in NY.
Jessica Biel made an appearance at The Daily Front Row’s First Fashion Media Awards. She wore Christian Dior, from head to toe (even her clutch is Dior). I guess Jessica is “over” Giambattista Valli, her usual go-to label. Now that she’s Mrs. Timberlake, it’s all Dior. She also wore a white Dior to another NYFW. I’m okay with both dresses – they’re not my favorite looks ever, but they’re an improvement from what Biel usually wears, so there you go.
Karlie Kloss at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards. Karlie wore an Alaïa crop-top and high-waisted skirt and it was AWFUL.
Kate Upton at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards. Kate wore Lanvin and she looked conservative and sort of boring.
Nicki Minaj at The Herve Leger by Max Azria Spring 2014 Runway Show Collection. I’m assuming she’s wearing Leger. This is actually pretty good on her, right?
The Hilton sisters are NYFW! NYFW is over, you guys, the Hiltons are there.
And lastly, we have Stacy Keibler at the Monique Lhuillier Spring Summer Collection. I assume she’s wearing Lhuillier. It’s okay. It’s like an optical illusion, right?

She seems like a doll to me – a living, breathing Barbie, devoid of personality and charm but ever so lovely to look at and dress in different outfits.
She was on Letterman promoting some documentary where she and others did a week-long mountain climb at Mt. Kilimanjaro and successfully reached its peak for a documentary I think it was raising awareness for clean water to other countries charity and she was funny and charming, so not a total Barbie doll. A Barbie doll couldn’t do a such a mountain climbing expedition.
She’s stunning and I adore her hair color. I went that color becauses I found I thought a lighter, softer, almost sunkissed brown was so flattering and different than the usual bleached hair or dyed darker hair on celebs not usually dark. It was my natural color and hadn’t been it in years always highlighting and ending up too light or going darker, and went back and think it gives a carefree, natural softer look.
But this is the prettiest she has been in years. She looks like that model Maude Adams in her heyday I saw in a magazine a while back of models in past eras.

Biel is to fashion what Brendan Frasier is to action movies: The Superhero no one wanted or asked for or anyone underrstands why he is there.. Shit come to think of it, she is that to movies too!

I think all but one looked absolutely great and that is the woman (I don’t know who she is) wearing what looks like a bra and a slip from the 1940’s.

Paris is so passe’. No one even cares anymore to post her photos on sites. She never evolved. Still the baby doll voice and still dresses the same. I like that her sister has stayed more low key.

I hate that crop tops are making a come back but I actually love Karlie’s look. It is fresh and sedge without being over the top. Aglaia is one of the few designers that can do that.
Jessica’s outfits would be more interesting on a someone else. I do prefer the leather dress for some reason. I guess I was a female dom in my past life.
Okay, she looks better than usual by far. I just want to know if she is ALLERGIC to COLOR. Drives me nuts for some reason. Always such plain neutral tones. Her lipstick? Ugh She tries so hard to be plain and succeeds.

Biel’s just working her fancy fashion connections while she can. While I would consider Valli a ‘get’, on her own that’s the highest Biel rates (remember the Met Ball? If Justin had gone with her, they would have been the guests of Tom Ford and worn Tom Ford, but on her own she was steered toward Valli since she needed to be someone’s guest and Ford wasn’t interested in just her). Now that movie roles aren’t coming any more she’s going full ‘fashion girl’.
Karlie looks like she’s going to the gym from the waist up.

Karlie Kloss looks like a cheerleader. I hate crop tops, I just don’t think they should be worn to events like this.
Nicki Minaj looks gorgeous though. I would never have guessed she could pull off a look like this.
I have to say Nicki Minaj wins hands down I was shock that it was her. Everyone eles looks ok no one looks terrible but no one stood out ether.
Jessica Biel for example her hair and skin tone all blended together for a drab look and the black dress which should have look sexy on her looks the exact opposite.
Since she gotten married to Justin she has gotten even more vanilla if that was even posable, It’s like it suck out what little personality she had out of her.
I think Jessica Biel’s hair and dress look fantastic on her, but her makeup is making her look washed out. She needs just a bit more colour on her face.
Nikki Minaj does look really good.
Not a fan of Biel’s black outfit- the bunching around the waist bugs the hell out of me. The white is okay. Not horrible, not great. I’m not going to comment on anyone else but Minaj. She looks pretty great for her. She’s my favorite in this set.
