Zoe Saldana married some guy. At first I was like, “Damn, I didn’t even know she was dating someone!” But now that my brain is functioning a little bit better, I vaguely remember hearing something about Zoe and this dude Marco Perego. He’s an Italian artist, he’s tight with some members of the Grimaldi/Casiraghi family, and the whole thing sounds very “European”. Marco and Zoe’s wedding took place in London, and since everything happened so suddenly, I’ve got to ask: pregnant much?
Zoe Saldana is officially off the market! The Blood Ties actress and beau Marco Perego secretly tied the knot in London in June, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm.
“It was super small but very romantic and beautiful,” a source reveals to Us of the ceremony, which was attended by just a few close friends and relatives.
The New Jersey-born, New York-raised star and the Italian artist, both 34, were first linked in mid-May when they were spotted kissing after Saldana’s Star Trek Into Darkness premiere in L.A. But an insider told Us in June that the newlyweds have “known each other for a long time.” Another pal added, “They have great chemistry.”
Saldana — who had an on-again, off-again relationship with Bradley Cooper from 2011 to 2013 — is loving life with Perego. “Zoe’s thrilled to have someone she can enjoy life with!” an insider said.
The Guardians of the Galaxy actress was previously engaged to Keith Britton, CEO of My Fashion Database. They called it quits in November 2011 after 11 years together. Saldana spoke about her desire to settle down and start a family the next year, during an April 2012 appearance on Lifetime’s The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet.
“I’m Latin — we start young, honey!” said the star, whose other film credits include Avatar, Colombiana, and Crossroads. “At 22 you’re like, ‘I just wanna hold something!’ You want a little critter.”
“I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids. But I’m a kid myself,” Saldana continued. “I get along very well with animals and children. I dig them, I get them. They make perfect sense to me. A child makes perfect sense to me. A child speaks more sense than an adult half of the time.”
You know what this reminds me of? This reminds me of poor Renee Zellweger, who has barely been seen or heard from since she and Bradley Cooper broke up BEFORE Bradley started up with Zoe. I always hoped Renee would have this kind of “happy ending” moment too. I mean, not that I think Zoe and Marco are going to last or anything. God no. They’ve barely been together five months if that. Anyway, congrats to Zoe. I think.
PS… This guy looks sort of like Chad Kroeger, right? But somehow douchier.

My mom and dad met in September, got engaged in New Year’s Eve, married in the following April and had their first kid (my oldest sister) in July. So, basically, they got married because mom got knocked up.
This happened in 1970-1971. Still counting 🙂

I do think people tend to wait too long to decide to get married. By five or six months into the relationship, you’ll know if it works for you or not.

Nice and congrats to both. She has a cute fashion sense but every time I see Zoe Saldana in a “badass” role I think “Zoe is acting”. She never convinces me she is whipping butt – no idea why. I believe Michelle Rodriguez, Zhang Ziyi, and Mila Jovovich (kicking ass well) and of course the queen badass, Angelina (shredding behind to infinity and beyond). And I would like to see others get the chance to play such roles like Naya Rivera or Frieda Pinto. Come on Hollywood, spread the superwoman roles around!
