Beyonce was assaulted by another fan in Brazil: do not touch the Beyonce!

You guys know that I like to gently tease Beyonce about some things, but I actually do have some genuine affection for her. Even if I didn’t have any affection for her, I would still think it’s absolutely WRONG to man-handle Beyonce at any time. So let me ask her fans to do something for me: please stop man-handling The Beyonce!!! For the love of God. Just because she’s singing to you, on stage, that doesn’t give you permission to smack her ass (which happened several months ago) or grab her and try to drag her back to your GD cave. That’s what happened yesterday when Beyonce was performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the middle of “Irreplaceable,” a dude in the audience grabbed Beyonce and tried to drag her off the stage. Here’s the video:

This is wrong. It’s wrong to treat a celebrity like this. It’s wrong to treat any woman like this. Don’t put your hands on someone else’s body without their permission. It really is that simple. I don’t care if you’re caught in the moment and you’re the biggest Bey-stan ever, DO NOT TOUCH THE BEYONCE.

All of the photos in this post are from Bey’s Tumblr, by the way. She’s been posting so many photos lately. I think all of these pics are from her recent family vacation.

What happened to her empowering strong short hair?

  2. Ciru says:

I may not be a stan, but Queen Bey is super professional. Some guy literally pulls her off her feet, and she gets right up and keeps singing. I’d be curled up in a traumatized little ball.

  3. MeowuiRose says:

I love Bey but her straw weave looks terrible :-o. She needs a date with the hair doctor stat! Love the rainbow shirt she is wearing.

  4. lenje says:

Haven’t watched the video, but I read that she kept singing while a security guard pulled her back. This, along with previous incident when her hair was drawn to a large fan during one of her shows, says out loud about her professionalism. She always entertains, she controls her image as an artist, so far I have never heard of complains with regard to her works. (But I probably miss it). So props to her.

Also, has anyone seen this video of her (unannounced) visit to a school? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoX9qXBP0Bs I think it’s awesome.

  5. sarah says:

I am not a fan of hers AT ALL. However, WTF?! You don’t grab someone like that!!

  6. CaribbeanLaura says:

Can’t see the video, but I hope that security had a serious ‘talk’ with that guy, jeez.

    • Hakura says:

@CaribbeanLaura – I read on The Mail that she waved the security guards off, telling them not to drag him out or even give him a ‘talkin to’. Even asked him his name after she finished the song. It was very nice of her, but on the other hand may be negative, causing other nut jobs to think if they pull a stunt like that, they’ll get special attention too…

  7. Abby says:

yikes. Like her or not, that’s so rude and SCARY. Good for her for just keeping on performing.

  8. Side-Eye says:

This kind of reminds me of how insane folks got at MJ concerts.

  9. Hakura says:

I read about this over on ‘The Mail’ earlier. They were saying it was just a fan that got a little out of control. It happened when she leaned down, & someone said he wasn’t trying to pull her down, just hug her. NOT that that gave him the right to touch her or anyone else.

They reported she told everyone “It’s alright! It’s alright!”, kept singing & dancing w/o missing a beat, then after the song, asked the fan his name. Then yelled “I love you all!!!” to the audience. I cannot STAND this woman, but I have to give credit where it’s due. She works hard for her performances, & has handled slip ups during performances (wind machine weave, anyone? xD) very professionally & gracefully.

  10. hadleyb says:

I love how she shows everyone exactly what she spends the money on she gets from her fans. lol

Hey you guys paid for this!

  11. Tish says:

And she kept on singing! QUEEN!

  12. kat says:

Looks to me as if a security guard in the crowd tried to pull the guy back down and in doing so also pulled Beyonce down. But regardless, no hands on anyone without permission.

I’ve never seen Julius move so fast! And he YANKED the Queen away.

  13. Lama says:

Yes, Beyonce (or anyone really) should not be grabbed without permission, but what I really came to say is…wow her waist looks tiny in that striped shirt! I’m totally envious.

  14. paranormalgirl says:

Not a fan, but she knows how to handle herself and even how to treat fans who get out of control.

  15. Migdalia says:

Don’t forget that time she took a tumble down those stairs, and kept singing through it.

  16. Chrissy says:

Wow. That was complete man-handling. No one should experience that even if it was by a fan.

  17. Nelly says:

Well if you are lip syncing you have to continue till you push that button on the mic.

  18. henry says:

I love b, but next time dont takee a second chance of goin close again.this fans can go crazy

  19. Nev says:

    set up probably.

    • Dommy Dearest says:

      +1
I feel the same way. All I can do is laugh at this point.

    • Latisse says:

Oh be quiet, srsly, beyonce set up for a fan to pull her off her feet. Yeah that makes so much sense. The woman is a professional and like it or not she works hard for her money unlike some of the celebrities that get praise heaped on them by this site. But where beyonce is concerned, even when she does something admirable, it’s a “set up”. just be quiet.

  20. RHONYC says:

he’s lucky as f*ck she was a gracious as she was and didn’t have his ass ejected from the arena, ’cause you see that’s exactly what was about to happen till she put a stop to it.

    stans are crazy, man! 😯

  21. tokeberry says:

I’m not a big fan of Bey, but this is frightening. He could have killed her.

  22. Tig says:

Maybe she needs to re- think getting that close to the edge of the stage/runway? That’s twice something weird has happened, why push your luck?

  23. Yes, I'm That Leah says:

What’s this, the second or third time someone put their hands on her, on tour?

This man pulls her off the stage and she subsequently shakes his hand and tells him “I love you”.

He should have been escorted out of there. I don’t care who she thinks she is…she doesn’t speak for other women there concerning their safety. SMH.

    • Yes, I'm That Leah says:

Something is not right about this at all. Real fishy….

      • ZigZagZoey says:

        Hello…Ultimate cynical bitch here (me)…
I think it was a set up. The only positive comments she has had in months was when she kept singing after something had happened at her stupid concerts. There is NO way they would let this guy get away with this. Maybe they killed him after the show….
I know I am an a hole, but I call BULLSH*T on this.

    • kat says:

But if she had seen one of her own security guards pulling the guy back into the crowd, causing her to tumble, she would know it wasn’t his fault, and say he could stay. (Inasmuch as pulling her off the stage — laying hands on her is still unforgiveable in and of itself.) Maybe she would even apologize for his rough handling by showing him some recognition.

  24. Nessa says:

I actually don’t care for Beyonce much. I seriously think she is such an overrated singer. I do think she is a great performer, one of the best. But it all goes back to the singing for me, and she just doesn’t have it. That being said, I am SUPER impressed with the way she handled this incident. She really is the consummate professional. This maybe even made me like her a little bit……

  25. SDuckie says:

I think it’s really great of her to react so kindly and great to the fan. She’s very kind and professional and that’s what makes Beyonce great! Check out this video for some more on this incident: http://youtu.be/83doIrrPB0A

  26. Larissa says:

That was such a common fan hysteria back in day. It happened many times. If anything this man is a gay man who was under the influence trying to get a hold of his queen bitch.
When you put yourself up in a pedestal, above all other humans that is what you get.

  27. Green Is Good says:

Not a fan, but that was scary. What if that freak had a knife or something? And she carried on like trouper.Have to admire that.

  28. Niput Itna says:

His actions were very disrespectful, and the way that Bey treated him was very reckless and irresponsible. Treat morons like morons, not like heroes.
