I live in Lloyd Neck and I love it here. My parents also traveled a lot when I was younger (About when i was 3 to 9). And there’s nothing wrong with it. I’m 15 and I’m very happy with my life. I was home schooled for a little (Hated it) and i attended many schools with many different things to offer. As a little kid, its not hard moving, at least it wasn’t for me and my 3 brothers and one sister. But my parents agreed to settle down when we got older (middle school/high school) This way we didn’t have to constantly change schools with collage so close.

Traveling is amazing.

Miranda, just got back from your South Shore and it is a dump. Just ugly and flat. Only the Ocean is nice. That’s all you have. Why would Angie got to the South Shore over the North Shore? Why would anyone?

Miranda, true, the South Shore people are pretty laid back compared to the North Shore but I can’t believe AJ will be moving to my town!

The property taxes (just due a few weeks ago) are outrageous here.

I believe this home to have been on the market for about 2.5 years, originally through Sotheby’s. No takers in this economy.

I have to say that Huntington Village, the town 1 mile south is beautiful in the spring time. Flower arrangements on every light post and just so charming but I always think, ‘Hey, I’m paying for all of this grandeur.’ Still, it is like a mini SoHo (NYC) in so many ways. I’m really proud to be from this town.

Okay, as Emily said it’s ON Long Island. No one says “in Long Island” around here. And I think she should have gone for the South Shore – it’s where all the cool people are.
Ned, I really don’t think that she is “robbing her children of a childhood” or whatever. That’s like saying that parents who uproot their children frequently because they are serving their country are selfish. Those children are probably very well socialized, being that having a ton of siblings from different backgrounds means having to learn to get along. In fact, they’re probably better-adjusted than most only children in this country (no offense to only children).

Angelina’s got the resources to give those poor children the best education in the world in the best schools, with wonderful extra-curricular activities.

Guess what? she doesn’t.
These kids are being moved on a weekly basis at best. Sometimes every 2-3 days.

They can’t even have a routine of home schooling, since they keep moving them all the time.
They prolly live on their suitcases.

They can’t even have a class with other children (not to mention to develop deeper social relationships) because they don’t get to stay in one place, and never got to have any sense of stability.

I can’t imagine going through childhood without friends, classes, school and developing in a stable manner.

I was never dragged from one place to another, and I see no reason such a wealthy women would be so selfish to do this to such little children and prevent them from having a childhood.
