Christina Aguilera’s ’80 lb weight loss achieved by drastic diet & plastic surgery’?

wenn20538317

Over the summer, Christina Aguilera debuted her new figure at the NBC Upfronts, while she promoted her return to The Voice. Incidentally, did anyone really miss her from The Voice? It was my understanding that most people watch The Voice for Blake Shelton, and that viewers really liked Shakira. Anyway, Christina debuted her new, slimmer figure and everybody talked about how great she looked and every interview Christina has given since then has been the same old inanities about how she loves sex, she’s super-sexy and powerful and empowered and sexy and she loves sex.

But I still have some questions about Christina’s weight loss. For a while there, her weight gain was significant and even a few months before her “new body debut,” Christina still seemed to be carrying significant booze weight (so many empty calories!). Back in July, I theorized that she had lap-band surgery, although many of you yelled at me and told me she wasn’t big enough for lap-band to start with (I disagree). Now Radar is getting in on the theorizin’.

Now that is beautiful! Christina Aguilera is back in the red chair on the Voice looking spectacular with her super slimmed down figure, which two top doctors estimate to RadarOnline.com is an extreme 80 pound weight loss that may have been achieved by a drastic diet and plastic surgery!

The 32-year-old former Mouseketeer had struggled with her weight for the last few years, weathering difficult criticism including claims that she was pregnant because of extra pounds, but she’s shed the weight from exactly a year ago and is rocking a much slimmer frame lately.

“I think she was 165 to 170 and now is a perfect 110 to 115,” Dr. Fred Pescatore, who has not treated Christina, told RadarOnline.com about the 5’2” star.

The “Dirrty” singer has been happily flaunting her lithe figure and told Redbook magazine that she doesn’t always make hitting the gym a priority.

“If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it’s not even a question,” she said in the November issue of the magazine.

One way that Xtina may have been able to slim down is by going under the knife.

“The only surgery she may have had is a breast lift because if you notice, they reduced in size perfectly which could happen but is unlikely,” Dr. Pescatore, nutritionist and author of The Hamptons Diet, told RadarOnline.com.

According to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Lance Wyatt, who also has not treated Christina, extreme weight loss is possible in under a year.

“In 10 months, patients may lose up to as much as 80 lbs or more with aggressive diet, exercise, diet pills, and/or bariatric surgery,” he told RadarOnline.com. “Looks like Christina may have had liposuction of her body and/or tummy tuck for flatter abdomen and more narrow waistline.”

“Her face seems a little thinner but not much, again probably weight loss by natural or surgical means.”

[From Radar]

Yeah, these are just theories. No one knows for sure. I’m willing to admit I might be wrong about lap-band, but I stand by my opinion that whatever happened with Christina, it wasn’t all-natural diet and exercise. I do hope that she isn’t boozing so heavily these days, and if she has cut down her alcohol intake, that probably DID de-bloat her to a significant degree. But the rest of it? I could totally see lipo or a tummy tuck. And I thought Christina had gotten implants years and years ago? Maybe she went in and got some new, smaller implants plus a breast lift or something. That’s my theory.

She has a history of gaining and losing weight. She has a horrible diet…when she eats right, she loses weight fast. She has done this before. She was able to get her pregnancy weight off fairly quickly as well…then after her divorce she gained quite a bit of weight. I think she did it naturally. My opinion.

    • Jennifer says:

Exactly. BTW it seems she started work on her weight right after season 3 of the voice (december 2012). I didn’t notice any “drastic” weight loss in very short period of time. It took her over 6-7 to lose that extra weight. And she was not obese for good sake.

      • Mimi says:

Exactly! It’s not like she was morbidly obese. Just, definitely bigger than she was at 19 or 20. Also, as a fellow shorty, I can tell you that gaining even just 10 lbs shows quite a bit. Who cares what she did to lose the weight as long as she is happy with herself.

      • V4Real says:

There is no way in hell she lost 80 pounds. Even by this so called expert admission if she weighed about 170 at her heaviest and weighs about 115 how did she lose 80 pounds. The math is off.

But even at her heaviest she was not 80 pounds over weight. She’s tiny and it doesn’t take a lot of weight for someone that small to look a bit larger. The girl probably lost like 30 pounds.

      • ycnan says:

V4Real, totally agree. She probably lost about 30 lbs. NO way whatsoever she was 80 lbs over weight at her height. So ridiculous. Lets keep on talking about women and their weight as we know it is the most important thing about girls! So stupid.

      • Stef Leppard says:

Seriously! She did not lose 80 lbs. Plus the “expert” says she looks like she lost 60 lbs but people CAN lose 80 lbs in 10 months. She probably lost 40 or 50 lbs, tops.

      • Happyhat says:

Ditto on the silliness of it being 80lbs. I’ve lost 70lbs, and I may be 3″ taller than Christina, but I looked twice the size of her at our respective highest weights. So yes, I chime in on it being closer to 30lbs.

    • Petee says:

I have a lap band and you have to be morbidly obese to get one or have some serious health issues.I do agree with you about the implant’s.She has had them for awhile and they made her look pudgy. That’s why I always cringed when she said she loved her curves because we all know she bought them.Just look at her old pictures. She was a beanpole when she was younger and those things just didn’t grow with age.I personally don’t care for her.I don’t like the fact she is always trying to speak up for all women because i can do that for myself.if anyone celeb to speak up for me it would be Pink.she is honest and a straight shooter and really does what she want’s.

      • Kelly says:

I’m 5’6″ and at my heaviest I was 150. I cut out sodas, added in a lot more veggies and stopped drinking almost all together. I lost 25 pounds in about 3 months with practically no exercise. I can buy that she lost around 40 with diet changes and minimal exercise in 6-7 months. I do think she either got a breast list or a REALLY good push-up bra though.

      • Stellax2 says:

I hope the lap band is helpful for you.

I don’t think she had 80 lbs to lose as echoed by many.

Truthfully with so many entertainers, actors, etc., losing and gaining weight, it’s hard to tell what looks natural versus procedure.

Back in ’06 I went through some very difficult changes that lasted for several years. I stand at 5’2″ and in the end gained 35 lbs onto the average 110 – it’s part genetics folks.
I got up off my butt, changed my diet a bit and exercised. Even if I walked at a steady pace for 30 minutes, it made a difference for me.
My metabolism slowed a bit at 35 too. Prior to that I could put anything into my mouth.
I’ve educated myself via dr.’s and reading regarding nutrition, health, etc.
Everyone’s body, metabolism, health history and habits are different. It makes a difference. I choose not to judge anyone. If Xtina has stopped large amounts of drinking, good for her. It does eliminate some of the bloat which I’m personally acquainted with in my life.

      • Petee says:

Congrats Stella.I lost over 150 pounds so it did work for me.I also have had 4 skin removal surgeries.I don’t think she had lost 80 pounds she is very tiny.I would say more 20 to 30 if that.

    • Steph says:

There’s no way that this girl lost 80 pounds — she didn’t have that to lose! At most she maybe lost 30-35 pounds. I agree that she likely did it naturally. It can be done. I’m not overweight at all but I still lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks by hiring a trainer, working out like a madwoman and eating properly. You can do it in a healthy way without resorting to surgery. And because she’s so tiny, any weight gain is going to appear significant — as is any weight loss.

    • Kim says:

I dont think she did it naturally becaue it happened to fast. She is not 20 anymore and has had a child. The weight wouldnt come off that fast. Not lap band, she wasnt that overweight, but lipo/tummy & chin tuck. I think she had surgery combined with an extreme diet. Either way so what, to each his own, and she looks great.

      • carrie says:

Kim, there are photos that show her GRADUALLY getting slimmer over the 6-month period away from the show. You can Google it.

      • idk says:

She did it gradually over months…her weight lost was not over night…plus she has gained and lost weight before…google images of her long before she got married and had a kid…when she died her hair black…she lost the weight then…got married, had a kid…lost the baby wieght…then got divorced and gained a lot of the weight back plus some…then she slowly lost it again.

  2. antisocial says:

I doubt it was all natural but girl was NOT heavy enough for lap band (not ethically anyway). She was overweight yes, and on a 5’2″ frame she’s going to wear her gains worse than most, she was never dangerously obese though. And commentary on lapband and gastric bypass for someone at 170 (at her heaviest, if even that) is truly sending a misguided and harmful message.

    • RMJ says:

“And commentary on lapband and gastric bypass for someone at 170 (at her heaviest, if even that) is truly sending a misguided and harmful message.”

Truth, that is some really gross speculation. I totally buy that she had lipo and lost 40 or 50 pounds, but she was never anywhere near big enough to get lap band.

    • QQ says:

I believe it for sure that it was all on a crazy tip I also agree that she wasn’t big enough for a lap band but if tales are true that has never been a deterrent for Hollywood types/drs

    • Petee says:

Agreed.I was over 300 pounds when I got mine.I think she just gave up drinking and maybe some aderall

  3. Lori says:

    I don’t buy that it was 80 lbs…..she’s very short…..she didn’t look that big

    • Kim1 says:

I agree she probably lost about thirty to forty lbs

    • tarheel tina says:

me neither. It looks like she lost about 50 pounds at most.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I’m going with 30 lbs… no way in hell she was 80 lbs overweight. She’s only 5’2″, she would look twice as big with an extra 80 lbs on her.

      • hunter says:

I had a little friend who was 5’1″ or 5’2″ – if she gained THREE POUNDS she would start to look a little pudgy and her belly would get soft.

        For me it’s five but I’m 5’7″.

    • Crabcake says:

      My thoughts exactly!

    • gogoGorilla says:

I agree. Also, she looks good and pretty healthy. I think if you lose that much weight (80 lbs) really quickly, you end up with a lot of extra skin and so forth. True, she could have gotten it chopped off, but I don’t really think that’s the case.

I do think she may have had some pharmaceutical help in the form of Adderall or something like that. OTOH, if you can afford a personal chef and a personal trainer and have all the time in the world to devote to exercise, it is probably much easier to lose weight than a normal person.

    • Kim says:

Pretty sure she is shorter than 5’2″. That said for her height/frame she was pretty overweight so I think she lost around 40 pds.

  4. moptop says:

She still looks rode hard and put up wet. Fake tan, bleached to the max hair, white-out nails. No, just no.

  5. Miss T says:

People are really exaggerating her weight-loss! She was never even close to being obese. She’s only 5’2 and is small-boned, so even an extra 20 pounds looks like a lot on her. Plus, she was bloated and wore unflattering clothes, which makes people look bigger than they are. And yet, even with her small frame, she still didn’t look THAT huge. I’d be willing to bet she lost no more than 30 pounds. No way was she 80 pounds overweight!

  6. Annie says:

Yeah… That’s lypo and God knows what else. The thing with celebrities is that they have access to the best of everything. There are some amazing trainers and nutritionists out there. Some trainers manage to get stars in shape for movie roles in less than 6 months, so it is possible. Their work out routines are not like the ones you and I do. They are hardcore.
The thing that gives Christina away is the boobs and the possibility that she might have needed/wanted a tummy tuck.

Honestly, I would totally get a tummy tuck and breast lift too, after children. No shame~.

    • Steph says:

IMHO, trainers are totally worth it. I’m 5’5″ and started at 128 but I was soft. I’m now 118 and totally cut. My trainer was worth the money ($1000 for 18 sessions) but most of it had to do with revamping my eating habits. She told me it’s 30% exercise and 70% nutrition. If the rumours are true and she was consuming a lot of alcohol, then cutting that out and eating right would have made a huge difference very quickly.

  7. Angie says:

She was not that big , she lost 30 at most, she’s a tiny girl.

  8. yuk says:

This woman has the ugliest legs in showbiz.

    • samab says:

I think the same of you about her legs…horrible knees and calves ,I keep saying this from loong time….if you see her in Burlesque she is always on screen from her torso to up,or always with her legs very covered or on move.Wasn’t she also supporting her “fatness” before loosing weight,so now what’s the point?ok sorry it’s a good weed night…

  9. Kyle Randal says:

    Interesting math there Radar Online.

    160 to 170

    • lucy2 says:

I know, by that estimate it was 50-60 lbs, and their headline screams 80. LOL.

I don’t believe it was any more than 30-35, which is possible done the right way, which I hope she did.

  10. bammer says:

But but but why did she lose weight?? I thought she loved her curves?? *eye roll*

    • Kyle Randall says:

      Interesting math there Radar Online.

165 to 170 minus 110 to 115 equals a potential weight loss of 50 to 60 pounds. That’s a far cry from 80 lbs. It’s still an impressive loss though. Good for her.

    • Joy says:

This! Oh I love my new curvy body and stop fat shaming me! Oops never mind.

    • Petee says:

Yeah I now.I am embracing my curves.Such a huge hypocrite.Did anyone here Ceelo on Howard Stern. He sort of implied that she went away for awhile because of her weight and is in a better place.Just You Tube it.

    • Crabcake says:

I think someone can “love their curves” as in, not be bothered by them. She was facing a lot of flak for gaining weight and that was probably her way of saying I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. We all prefer to be the thinner versions of ourselves but when I have had a few extra I didn’t suddenly hate my body.

  11. Kira says:

She doesn’t look having harmony with her new body. Like wearing expensive shoes not knowing their price – u treat them as if u wore a flip flops. I do believe she had a surgery.

  12. ldub says:

“If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it’s not even a question,” …..so, the gym?

  13. Bananapants says:

Me personally, to get down to that weight, I have to workout at least an hour and eat about 900 calories every single day. So I think she could have done this naturally, huge maybe, but if she did, I hate that she’s dishonest and blasé about it. If it was truly hard work and will power, she’d be passing out flyers with her techniques and diet on them, telling errbody what a bad ass she is. Methinks she probably had surgery(s). There are tons of shady docs who will do lapband on non obese people. I’ve witnessed it. Lazy bastards. Go for a walk and put down the pie.

    • hunter says:

I had a friend who got super fat and then lost 120 lbs in one year of extreme willpower, clean diet & exercise. Very impressive.

Not sure if Xtina would have that level of determination but Adderall would definitely help.

  14. Yelly says:

80 pounds my ass. She’s got the same frame as me, she was probably like 150.

  15. Tammy White says:

She was a size 0 to 2 prior to the weight gain…at her heaviest, I think she was a size 10 & probably weighed 160 tops. You have to be morbidly obese for bypass surgery & 160 lbs is far from it. A friend of mine lost 100 lbs in a year by eating right & exercising, so it is possible Christina did it all naturally. Or she used diet pills & liposuction. Who cares? I know this is celebitchy but lord you’re just a bit judgmental! Stop shaming people already.

  16. Yelly says:

She fluctuates a lot anyhow, I remember her getting chubby on the last leg of the Stripped promo tour.

  17. kcarp says:

A tummy tuck does cause weight loss. I lost 90 pounds went in for a tummy tuck at 146 pounds. A month later I weighed 150lbs. The plastic surgeon said there is not significant fat removed with a tummy tuck, he said it is like chicken fat.

And there is no way she had lap band or anything more drastic. She probably started using Adderall or something.

  18. Hello says:

She was easily 170 at her heaviest, which would make her obese. I have a friend who is 5’2 and 145 and looks small compared to what she was.

  19. Frida_K says:

    1. I thought she loved her curves?

    2. Re: surgery. Who knows? I’m short and if I get above a certain weight, my bosoms get huge(r) and I look really heavy and not attractive. A five pound weight loss totally changes things for me. If I’m at the healthiest weight for my height, I’m quite small. Long story short: if I’m at the mid-range (a little rounded but not fat), the five pounds up or down make for a completely different Frida_K.

    So who knows?

  20. Merritt says:

Where did 80 lbs come from? She was heavier, but I don’t think it 80 lbs. She is short. When you are short and you start to gain weight it doesn’t take much to look much bigger than you are. I would say it was probably around 40 lbs.

  21. hadleyb says:

I think she either used adderall to help suppress her appetite or lap band.

The thing with weight loss surgery is for your insurance to pay for it you have to be at a certain weight, but if you can pay for it yourself then those rules are thrown out the window.

If you have had a hard time losing weight, have a weight issue / problem with food and are 50 pounds over weight it wouldn’t be a problem, as I am sure she can well afford ANY surgery. And she might of gone to another country to do it too.

I guess I don’t see the problem if she did have it done, the message she is sending is I am trying to fight this eating issue. Now lap band is only a tool, if you don’t get down to the issue of why you are over eating, or eating badly you can and will gain weight back.

I have seen it before with weight loss patients, they never learn why they were overweight, or learned to eat properly. They just relied on the band to not stuff themselves.

    • Petee says:

I am sure she just gave up booze for awhile and did pill’s.I do not think she had a lap band.I have one and it is not easy.I can’t see any doctor,no matter how much money she would pay to put one in her.and if she did it can be pretty painful when you get sick. Also here is the clincher,it messes with your esophagus.Big time.Anne Wilson from Heart had one years ago and had it removed for that reason because it messed with her voice and she is a lot heavier then Christina(and a better person)so no she didn’t have any kind of bariatric surgery.

  22. BreeinSEA says:

I miss her old face. She was cute in burlesque.

  23. Sisi says:

honestly, ever since she’s thinner she’s been wearing figure-correcting clothing, and it makes it seem like she’s lost more weight than she really has. So I’m guessing it’s all been natural.

  24. Mew says:

Erm, losing 80lbs WILL reduce the breast size. Wtf doctor? Losing that amount of weight is not impossible in a year. Not by Hollywood diets.

  25. umyeah says:

I love how she was like, “I love my body just the way it is,” and then of course she heard everyone calling her fat, and lost a ton of weight. I hate it when people say one thing and their actions say a whole nother thing. I kinda wish she would have embraced her chunk.

    • sunnydaze says:

I hear you, I do, but I have to say that at my heaviest I was ok with my curves. What I wasn’t ok with was my lack of energy, how the extra weight actually felt on my body, how I physically didn’t feel “good”. I think it’s possible for someone to like the way their body looks, but maybe not the way it feels. Besides, I’d be shocked if someone ever said “I hate the fat slob I’ve become”. We all know interviewers push certain angles…her body is always going to be up for discussion.

  26. Dawn says:

I think she looks great. She’s young and so she could have easily just used diet and got rid of the booze to get so thin. There is no way that she got a band. She simply was not big enough for that.

  27. Lady Satan says:

I don’t think she had the band, but she didn’t get thin by going to the gym either – she has almost no muscle tone/definition in her arms and legs.

Diet pills? Lipo? Possibly. Could be she just kicked the booze & cleaned up her diet a bit. Alcohol really packs on body fat.

  28. K says:

I paid for my lapband myself and I still had to be morbidly obese or have significant health problems to get it. She didn’t have lapband. Plastic surgery…yeah definitely. But she’s done this up and down weight before and lost it.

  29. Shelly says:

No way did she gain 80 pounds! She never looked that heavy. That’s just ridiculous.

  30. velourazure says:

What’s up with her multi-colored tatas?

  31. shiloh says:

she had surgery. trust me. i’m a professional martial artist and i low about weight loss. she lost too much weight too fast for it to be all natural, especially considering she has NO muscle mass, indicating she has not been working out (at least not enough to warrant such a drastic weight loss). diet alone will not drop that many pounds that fast, either. and diet alone, without working out at all, will leave the skin loose and saggy and stretchmarked. i’m sure she’s eating more healthy, not drinking as much, and maybe working out from time to time, but the weight loss is due to surgery. end of story.

    • jwoolman says:

Not everybody gets saggy skin with weight loss,,especially at her age. The amount of weight she very likely lost per month is quite possible with no exercise. You just eat differently – she was drinking a lot of booze and eating junk, cut that out and replace with real food and the pounds can come off even for couch potatoes.

    • Petee says:

Nope don’t agree. She is young enough that she did it with no alcohol and pills.I posted earlier how Anne wilson from Heart had one and had to have it removed because it wreaks havoc on your esophagus which would ruin your singing voice.I don’t think she would chance that.I should know I have one.and after seeing her slim, just like me,you can see your port sticking out of your tummy. No Lipo,no surgeries she just got sick of being heavy and lost weight.Everyone on here acts like these surgeries are easy and easy to get.No they are not.Mentally and physically painful. You have to be at the end of your rope to have one.

  32. Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Kaiser, who wrote: “Yeah, these are just theories. No one knows for sure. I’m willing to admit I might be wrong about lap-band, but I stand by my opinion that whatever happened with Christina, it wasn’t all-natural diet and exercise.”

Why so negative? Christina is a petite woman (5’1″) with a naturally small frame (anyone who has seen her “Dirrty” video can attest to that). ‘Any’ extra weight will make her look huge, so I seriously doubt she weighed 165 – 170 lbs. 10 extra lbs is noticeable on her tiny frame, but she probably had 30 – 35 lbs to lose.

And she’s loss weight on her own before without a lap-band (did you not deign to see “Burlesque?”). So give the woman a break, and the benefit of doubt. Shouldn’t the message be that she’s once again at a healthy weight for her body type?

She doesn’t look or act drugged out and she looks damn good to boot. 🙂

  33. G says:

She maybe got a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. Now way her tiny frame was hovering around 170. She was maybe 150’ish. Not enough for a lap band.

  34. diva says:

I missed Christina and Cee Lo. Usher and shakira sucked.

    • carrie says:

      Indeed.

Also, the evidence paints a different story. There are photos of her very gradual weight loss over the 5/6 month break from The Voice. She also has tone as opposed to being soft which would indicate she did it in a healthy way incorporating smarter food choices and fitness.

  35. Leila in Wunderland says:

Christina Aguilera is 5’1″, and I used to be 5’2″. I was also a little overweight. I can tell you that there’s no way that this girl lost 80 pounds. At the very most she weighed around 150 before. Now she weighs about 112, so she’s lost about 38 pounds. The chances that she got lapband or gastric bypass are very slim, since you have to be significantly obese to get that surgery (and not just 23 pounds overweight, as she was) even if you pay for it yourself. One of- if not both of- those surgeries are life-threatening, so most doctors would probably refuse a client who didn’t need it even with money, because they wouldn’t want to get in major trouble if something bad happened to that client as a result of the surgery. Also, in order to get one of those procedures, I heard that the doctor requires you to lose 25-30 pounds on your own first.

She could have had a tummy tuck and a breast lift, but that wouldn’t explain the weight loss everywhere else, right?

Most of what I’ve heard from the tabloids is that Christina lost weight by significantly cutting down on the alcohol and by changing her very unhealthy eating habits. I’ve also heard that her personality has changed a little with the weight lost- that she seems ‘better’ in some way. So I’m thinking it’s either the cutting back on the booze and the adjustments in diet, or it’s a combination of that and she’s on some kind of medication that helps with both mood and weight.

I’ve seen this sort of reaction to female celebrity weight loss before. The celebrity is carrying some extra weight due to something unhealthy, but says she is comfortable with her body or loves her curves. A few years later, she loses the excess weight, and then people get pissed at her. I’ve always hated that, because in some of these cases these people have cut out some unhealthy lifestyle choices (like bad diets or too much alcohol) in order to get the results. The last thing we need to see is more body-shaming of female celebrities. It’s like these girls can’t win.

    • candice says:

What do you mean you USED to be 5’2″? Did you lose inches due to osteoporosis or something? Just curious…

  36. Claudia says:

80 lbs??? There is no way she was ever 80 lbs over weight, come on. She’s very petite (every extra pound gained shows), she was probably only 20-30 lbs overweight max.

  37. Jayna says:

I loved the original four. Shakira and Usher were good but I never got into them the way the original four gel. I never watch the whole season anyway, but I catch enough of it. She got bitchy the last season, but she’s trying to be all sweet this season. But I’m happy to see Cee-Lo and Christina back.

Christina didn’t lose 80 pounds. God Good. Probably more like 45. A lap-band? What a joke. She wasn’t obese, and Christina likes her body enough to never do something drastic like that. Why do you think she kept wearing tight clothes? She wasn’t ashamed of her body. It’s probably more she went on some prescription diet pill and changed her diet and laid off the booze and exercized more than usual. She’s small-boned and less weight suits her.

The thing is, being a celebrity it is much easier to get a lap-band without adhering to the same criteria for receiving the surgery as the masses. She was probably obese, obviously not morbidly obese. I am 35 lbs overweight, and according to the BMI calculation am “obese”. I wear a size 12/14.
In Hollywood, all kinds of questionable things are done all the time. Also, she may have had the lap-band done in Mexico. My friend did not qualify for it in the States so she had it done in Mexico. Her BMI was 39%. I thought she was crazy for doing it.

  39. kristiner says:

Whatever she did I know one thing, she needs to lay off the bleach and spray tan.

She’s looking like Courtney Stodden’s big sister these days with the weight loss.

  40. JH says:

I’m not hating on her at all (do what makes you happy) but this has lap band with a side of lipo written all over it. I mean, it wasn’t a gradual weight loss. And I’m 60 lbs over weight and I qualify for the lap band surgery. It’s really not a big deal either way.

I can barely watch The Voice with Christina back on this season. I loved Shakira who was genuine. My husband and I have laughed so much this season at how Christina SEEMS to have watched and memorized all Shakira’s lines from last season. She has repeated Shakira almost verbatim. She is really trying hard to be liked and it is beyond….Please bring back Shakira! Christina monopolizes so much of the time I really cannot listen to her.

  42. jwoolman says:

If she really did lose 80 lbs in ten months, that’s reasonable. That’s just 8 lbs per month. If she exercised a lot and ate less junk, wouldn’t be impossible even at her eventual size. Without exercise, that would be a little too much of a food deficit in the lower weight range but not in the higher part of the range. If she actually lost a lot less, it’s even easier to believe.

  43. kim says:

I lost so much wieght after quitting Starbucks, processed foods and pop. Crazy how fat starbucks drinks make ppl, so she may not have had work done.

  44. raincoaster says:

Well, if you look at her legs and arms it doesn’t seem like she lost the weight by working out. Compare her legs to Britney’s, which are like cast iron at the moment.

She’s also no stranger to elective surgery, and if you have enough money you CAN get a lap band or whatever you want.

I don’t rule out that she may have lost the weight by dieting alone, but we will all know if it comes right back on again. Left to her own devices she does not maintain habits that support a low body weight for her.

  45. Kate says:

She was never even that big! Maybe 15lbs overweight at her biggest and 35lbs away from her Dirrty era weight. Maybe her frame is throwing people off. She’s such a tiny thing (not just short, her shoulders and ribcage are extremely narrow) that a perfectly normal weight on her looks like more than it is.

Lena Dunham and Mindy Kaling are both much larger than Christina has ever been. I guess if you consider Christina a candidate for lap band surgery Lena and Mindy must be in the ‘gonna need a crane to get them out of the house when they die’ category.

Christina’s been at similar weights three other times, and each time she lost the weight at a similar speed. She doesn’t like to work out and she admits she lives on junk when she doesn’t need to be skinny for work. She’s probably lost about 30-40lbs over the course of 4-5 months. That’s not a dramatic weight loss, that’s totally standard and can be achieved just by improving your diet.

    • idk says:

Exactly ! She did it naturally. How come when Janet Jackson loses and gains, and loses and gains…and loses weight again, no one accuses her of surgery? It’s because we see pics of Janet working out…we didn’t see pics of Christina working out, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t exercise. She’s lost and gained weight many times before, and always slowly and naturally.

  46. Kyssi says:

I don’t know why people think she didn’t lose weight gradually. Every time she was at an event to perform “Feel this Moment”, she was noticeably smaller than the last time. There’s these things called photographs and they can be used to show how she did lose weight gradually (as well as laying off the make-up). Losing at most 40 pounds in 8-9 months is not that difficult, y’all. C’mon now. Thinking she got lap-band is pretty damn ridiculous, tbh, especially since you still have to change your diet to lose and maintain a low weight. What the fuck kinda logic are y’all using?

  47. Susan says:

I agree with most of the photos myself. It is possible to lose that much weight without perscription drugs and plastic surgery. For someone to gain some weight during and after pregnancy and a divorce is pretty common and they can shed pounds if your doing it right. When you have had a problem with weight lose most of your life you can lose the elasticity in your skin, leaving you with extra skin that won’t go away on its own or with simple toning excersizing, you would then need to go through a surgery procedure to take it off. Xtina was already thin before her pregnancy, therefore still has the ability for her skin to bounce back, and did NOT have anything done surgically. I used to weigh 218 pounds and lost 75 pounds in 9 months and I didnt need to go to a plastic surgeon. Christina also has a personal trainer to help her manage the muscle tone she now needs to build to appear healthier.

  48. Sarah Jing says:

Seriously, she lost 80 lbs? That is like near impossible to achieve. Even if I keep my hunger pangs down with supplement and pills, I still can only lose at most 20-30 lbs in 3 months. http://saffronextractreviews.net

  49. yes am agree with you its possible that weight loss without plastic surgery.
