After years of speculation and denial, Kris and Bruce Jenner have announced that they are separated. The couple has been married 22 years. We’ve heard that they’ve been living separately for months, Khloe confirmed it earlier this summer, and now Kris and Bruce are ready to make an official announcement. This is just in time for the final two episodes of their latest season. The couples’ split takes the cover of the upcoming US Weekly, which has been covering Khloe Kardashian’s marriage troubles for weeks.
I’m going to quote the Kardashian’s network, E!, because they have a longer statement about the couples’ split:
Kris and Bruce Jenner could laugh off rumors that they were having problems for only so long.
“It’s been coming for a while,” a source exclusively tells E! News regarding the Jenners’ announcement today that they had separated after 22 years of marriage.
“Kris is in a good place about it, she accepted it and is very focused on other aspects of her life. Obviously it is very sad for everyone, but it’s no surprise and everyone has had time to adapt to this new reality.”
The source adds: “Kris is doing just fine, she is a strong woman.
Little signs had been piling up lately to indicate that Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s mom and dad had possibly separated, such as Kris being photographed in recent weeks without her wedding ring—and today they confirmed exclusively to that they are “much happier” now that they are living apart.
“But we will always have much love and respect for each other,” they told us. “Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
I don’t doubt that these two are legitimately separated and that they have a sexless marriage. That much seems obvious. I do doubt the timing of this announcement, particularly because they still seem like committed business partners. TMZ reports that Bruce was seen filming scenes for their show just yesterday, and that Kris and Bruce’s separation “will become a major plot line of season 9.” That’s next year, and as I mentioned there are just two episodes left this season. We’ve heard that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is struggling in the ratings. What better way to drum up interest than a split announcement?
Maybe Kris also has a personal reason for making this announcement. (And I do believe that going public with the split was Kris’s decision and Bruce just went along with it.) Maybe she’s trying to convince Khloe to divorce Lamar finally. Khloe tweeted a bunch of stuff yesterday about the mysteries of love. We’ve heard that Khloe is hanging on, that she doesn’t want to file for divorce because she’s afraid it will “push Lamar over the edge” with his addiction. I think that Khloe really loves Lamar and still hopes it will work out despite the mountain of evidence to the contrary. I do see Kris taking this step as some kind of encouragement and example to Khloe, but more than that it’s a publicity decision.

I imagine that some time, oh, in the next five minutes, we’ll be treated to the spectacle of Kris hooking up with men (and women?) 30 years younger and that will carry the “story-line” into next season and beyond. I hope Bruce has the gumption to just say no to any more humiliating filming. And that someone will soon locate the off switch to this long-running caricature of the American family.

I am so happy for Bruce! Now take your two girls and put them back in school and explain to them that they don’t have to work for PMK they can go to college and be young and have fun. But of course they have gone all KrapTrashian and are waiting for their turn in the family business.
They don’t strike me as the kind of girls that would value a college education. In a way, I’d rather them not go, if they’re going to go and just coast through on their money and fame.

Everything? At a certain point, you just plain have to be morally bankrupt to agree to half of the things they’ve done/said. Ratings didn’t make them this way, it may amplify it but before the show they were every inch this volatile.
It’s all so fake. Their marriage has been a sham the last few years now we have this right in time for next years plot. People are bored of the K’s thankfully. Khloe needs to grow up and divorce Lamar he doesn’t want to be married to her and it isn’t up to her to save him. Nice guy? This is someone who mostly abandoned his last wife and sons, talks crap about his current child’s mother to them. While he may seem sympathetic at times he certainly isn’t too nice to sink low.

Kris would never sacrifice her marriage to Khloe. She would, and in fact did, sacrifice her marriage for her Kash Kow Kimmy. She displaced her husband and two teenage daughters so that she could move her gestating Kash Kow into the family home. Now her control over Kimmy is total and complete. The moment Kimmy was born the expiration date on any future ex-husband of PMK was set. Now that PMK’s Kontrol over Kimmy and her progeny has come full circle there is no more room for Bruce in the Klan. Kris and Kim can raise their child the way they want to with no interference from a man. I absolutely believe Kim was and is abused by PMK. She cries when defending her mom from her sister’s and she can’t do anything without PMK Kontrolling her.
I hope it was worth it Bruce giving up your own children to devote time and energy to the success of the Klan. Forgot to add – Are we going to see 3 divorces in one year from them? Can’t wait to see grandma running around with a 24 year-old.

I’m so happy for Bruce! Run for your life! I bet PMk has already changed her name! As far as Khloe goes… either file for divorce or shut up. I’m sick of hearing about it ten times a day! My concern are Kylie & Kendall. These are still their parents. They are photographed daily getting food or shopping? They should be in school.They have no direction, they’re just going thru life aimlessly.
Perhaps (and hopefully) Bruce will have to consent to any career moves/schooling issues with Kylie and Kendall. I don’t think Bruce was on board for the homeschooling these girls have been doing. It would be awesome for him to legally be able to stand up to Kris.
His face doesn’t look that messed up to me. I recall his face being already angular and tiny eyes when he was an Olympian. It’s obvious he’s had work, but it’s not as ” off ” to me as it was 5 years ago.
I think the older of the two girls, Kendall, turns 18 in a month or so. There’s not much Bruce can do with her once that happens.
The younger daughter is only 16. He can put up a fight about her education and lifestyle if he wants to at this point.
You’re giving Kris waay too much credit if you think she did this for Khloe (so Khloe will dump Lamar). Like she even thinks of anyone else’s feelings when making decisions. This is all about money and ratings. The show isn’t getting the ratings they used to get. Not that I think this will help. The Kardashian’s are old news. And well, so are the Jenner’s now too.

Actually Khloe is with the Game’s brother, who is a personal trainer. The Game is just acting as their cover to divert publicity. And yes, she has been with him at least a year.
Okay, Khloe is just as big of a turd as the rest of her family is! Everyone says on here that she’s the most relatable and I used to think that too, but after hearing rumours like these going around the past few months, that she’s been cheating too, it has squashed even the small smidgen of like I had for her. She’s been milking the public’s sympathy with her drug / cheating debacle with Lamar, and she’s been cheating herself! Sick sick sick. This family is truly F’ed up.
I think she did this to take heat off of her daughter who doesn’t seem to deal well with negative attention, surprisingly. It was pretty clear that these two have been done since the start of the show.

Just a gimmick for ratings. These people will stoop to anything. At the end of the next season, they will “miraculously” reconcile. Wait for it. Sorry this has nothing to do with encouraging Khloe to get out of a marriage. PMK could care less and honestly probably loves her daughter in that marriage because it equals headlines!!! And that is ALL PMK cares about.
