Oscar Isaac at the London premiere of ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’: would you hit it?

I was going to make this into a Carey Mulligan fashion post, but I stopped myself because I remembered that many of you don’t give a crap about Carey’s fashion. To be fair, Carey has never really been a red carpet goddess, but usually she’s sartorially interesting. Not so much in this bile-colored Dior dress at last night’s BFI London Film Festival premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis. This dress is just… completely wrong on her. Wrong color, wrong cut, totally blah.

But enough about Carey. Check out the pics of Oscar Isaac. Honestly, I haven’t been paying that much attention to Oscar. He’s hot, for sure, but you know me – I go for the pasty European men as opposed to the tall, dark and handsome Latin men. Oscar is Guatemalan/Cuban-American, raised in Florida. He has beautiful eyes. He has a gorgeous, enchanting profile. He can wear the hell out of a suit. Yes, I need to pay more attention to him.

Oscar is definitely one of the “rising stars” these days, mostly because of his star turn in Inside Llewyn Davis. You can see his IMDB here – he’s only 33 years old and he’s done more than a dozen movies in the past three years. So… we’ll be talking about Oscar for years to come. Here’s the trailer:

How is that even a question?

    He’s so hot I don’t think there’s a metaphor for how I’d hit it.

P.S.: But he’s not tall — he barely towers Mulligan and she’s petite.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I would get over my “short thing” for this dude. He is GORGEOUS!

I hope everyone is happy that Carey is smiling..

    • bns says:

Yup. He’s hot as hell. And not a pretty boy, thank god.

    • gefeylich says:

      He’s also wearing lifts.

I think Mulligan looks lovely. I love it when a woman actually knows how to wear a strapless dress (mostly by straightening up and putting her shoulders back).

  2. Sixer says:

I wouldn’t, no. I never seem to go for Latino types either – my list is comprised of pasty [sic, but should I be offended?!] European men or darker than dark-skinned men. Nobody inbetween.

PS: Really want to see this film.

    • Eve says:

So…you wouldn’t hit me. Fine, I never wanted you anyway…

      *HUMPF*

    • Sixer says:

I *meant* my list of *men*.

Obviously, Eve, if you made a pass at me, I would merrily toss my ball gag into the nearest bin and step into Latino heaven. I shall say obviously twice to underscore this. Obviously. That was three times, actually. See?

  3. blue marie says:

yes I would, and it’s nice to not see a photo of Timberfake in reference to this movie.

I like Carey’s look here, the dress color and hair color. Not sure it would work if she had her blonde hair.

  4. notpretentious says:

    YAS! I SO WOULD!!!!

  5. Jijili says:

Just a note : Latin man ARE Europeans. The Latin nations are : Italians, French, Romanians, Spanish + sometimes Portuguese.

Dark tall guys from Latin/South Amrenica are Latinos.

Just saying, Europe isn’t just one big nation composed of one pale (pasty) ethnicity. Tall blonds, short dark… Lots of different good stuff 🙂

    • Myrto says:

Thank you I was going to say the same thing. But I think in the US, when people say “latin” they tend to picture Mexicans. Besides, latinos can also be pale.
As for Oscar, yes I would. I’ve seen him in tons of stuff: Drive, Robin Hood, Agora. But I have to say, as much as I love the Coen brothers, their new movie seems boring as hell, like I almost fell asleep during the trailer.

      • Eve says:

        He’s fantastic in Agora.

I loved him in Robin Hood, but goddamnit, those contact lenses were distracting (that’s not his fault though).

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

THAT’S what I know him from! Drive. Thank you…I kept thinking he looked familiar but couldn’t place him.

I also remember thinking how hot he was when I saw that movie-he was also really good in it.

      • blue marie says:

Oh, that’s where I recognize him from, Agora. I liked that movie for the most part.

  6. Allie says:

Joaquin Phoenix without the musty smell and weirdness for weirdness’s sake…

  7. Buckwild says:

I’ve loved this guy as an actor for years, I wonder if this movie will finally put him on the map. The trailer seems so depressing to me I have to wonder if people will go watch it…

  8. Mia4S says:

Normally, hell yes! But to be honest I’m not digging the hair. Grow it out again Oscar! I’m so fickle…

  9. bns says:

    Carey is just so…ugh.

    • Spooks says:

Really? I love her so much. She’s one of the most beautiful and talented young actresses out there.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

        I adore her too.

I never understand why people hate her, I can understand being “meh” about her but hating? She just seems so benign.

  10. JJ says:

I am not really a Coens fan, but I am a big fan of Carey and Oscar, so I might actually give this one a go. John Goodman is also in the movie and he is always great. For Timberlake, I will close my eyes and plug my ears.

  11. kiki says:

I loved Oscar in “10 Years” and not for the role (and stupid outfit) but for his charm.
Mulligan is awesome and I care very much for her 🙂

    • henderswife says:

I loved him in 10 Years too! He could charm the pants off of any woman in the world and when he sings! O.M.G. I would hit that shit like I was mad at it!

  12. Anna says:

I used to love Carey. Now I don’t. I’m not sure what happened. Can anyone help?

    • SallyJay says:

Same. I think it’s the prim, pursed lips expression she always has. Maybe that’s unfair, but it makes me think she’s sorta pretentious these days. She used to look so much happier, more natural, back in the day.
Oscar Isaac was GREAT in W.E., by the way. And he’s hotttt.

  13. Lori says:

Have you watched any of the youtube videos of him play guitar singing………he’s so very talented!

  14. Sarah says:

Actually, before heels , Muligan is 5 feet 7 inches, which is considered tall for a girl. With those heels, she’s probably 5 feet 10. I know that doesn’t make him this towering man, but, he’s probobaly around 5 feet 10 or so which is pretty average.

  15. rtms says:

I’m beginning to see why Carey rarely smiles. Her mouth area looks so tight in these pics, like she’s really stretching it out or forcing. I love her but I always got a sad vibe from her. Here she’s actually trying to smile and it still doesn’t work. Can’t win either way. Maybe if her hair was down it would work better.

  16. Leah says:

He is hot and apparently super talented.

  17. Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Oh, Kaiser, I like the pasty types too (seeing as how we could be twinsies), but why limit yourself?

Oscar is HOT, and I would hit it until he couldn’t get back up.

  18. Eve says:

GAH! His hand on her shoulder/neck area…so sexy.

  19. Maggie says:

I like the yellow dress on her! The color looks great. He gives me the creeps. Too short and a big head.

  20. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

He looks much better on the red carpet pics than he does in the movie (IMO), he’s a hottie- but to me, only without the big beard and longer hair. The short height thing is a deal breaker though :(.

  21. taxi says:

This is the happiest Carey has looked in pics since before she got married. Maybe he’s nicer to her than her jerk husband
